Sanne Wolters is journalist voor de economieredactie bij het AD. Daarnaast heeft ze er jarenlang een hobby van gemaakt om op zoek te gaan naar de liefde. Helaas kwam die niet altijd alleen maar op een fijne manier. Ze schreef er een boek over, en als snel besefte ze zich dat het niet louter leuke ervaringen waren. Maar juist in de minder fijne ervaringen zocht ze naar verdieping en zoekt ze verbinding met andere vrouwen die hetzelfde hebben ervaren zoals zij. Jaren dacht ze dacht ze alleen was, nu komt ze erachter dat ze de stem van zoveel vrouwen representeert.
Sanne en de mannen is een boek waarin de liefde niet zozeer enkel gevierd wordt, maar er wordt ook beschreven hoe erg je kan verlangen naar liefde en aandacht, ten koste van je zelf.
Sanne en Nynke voeren een gesprek over het verlangen naar liefde, vervelende ervaringen, vertrouwen en veiligheid. En, waar ligt de grens tussen een relatie waarin het mag wrijven doordat je beide wil werken aan de groei in een relatie, en een relatie waar je op korte termijn afstand moet doen omdat de wrijving alleen maar pijn brengt?
