About Janette

A dedication to a natural and organic lifestyle came from a desire to radically improve my health after a childhood and adolescence of debilitating conditions. Finding and utilizing the holistic philosophy absolutely re-established my health in mind, body and spirit.

Studies into complimentary therapies and alternative health techniques has been an ongoing process for the last 20 or more years. After suffering my first major reaction to general medication at the age of six, severe dermatitis episodes from the age of 15, and chronic migraines that eventuated into seizures by the time I was 18, I could see this pattern emerging where there was no ‘one reason’ why my health was failing, but a conglomeration of choices that were shaping my life. Specialists told me I was going to live a life of blood tests and medication, but I decided to refuse to do that.

I chose instead to educate myself, find the best possible life I could and improve my health bit by bit. This included studying health and nutrition, herbalism, esoteric and complimentary therapies along with meditation and energy healing. After two decades of study I have embraced the beauty of truthful, high quality, natural products, super nutrition and the stability of a considered mind. I feel I had to achieve this level of health and strength to be able to genuinely say ‘Yes, this works’.

My focus is firmly on what I term ‘real natural’, using the whole botanical wherever possible, and formulating in micro-batches to maintain freshness and potency.

After studying herbalism, aromatherapy, complimentary therapies and Holistic Feng Shui, I found that I was able to weave together healing through various modalities, maintaining ’High Quality Qi’ in the creations I produced. It was only when my health reached a critical point of achievement that I felt I could begin to offer it to others.

I am now in the fortunate position of formulating products for myself, my clientele and other businesses, using nourishing, high quality ingredients that are truly ‘real natural’ and botanic-organic, and which do not use any synthetics at all. This has given me the opportunity to be of service to those who also desire a less toxic and healthier life experience.

Her definition of Self Love is: Intrinsic to self respect, reciprocal with the environment and people around you. Self respect to want something good for yourself and by doing so becoming able to give to others.

Her favourite quote is: We are all responsible for our future.

Quotes: My struggles with dermatitis and pregnancy challenges pushed me to create products I could actually trust on my own body. I don’t create a product unless I have tested it on myself and lived with it first. Cures are not magic bullets they are all part of processes and protocols. I always tuned in to what was effective rather than what was on trend. Failures in formulation are not mistakes. They were lessons that guide me to a better solution. Pregnancy taught me to prioritise my health and trust in nature’s support systems. You will always learn from people as long as you are willing to listen to what they say, research and take the time to learn. I always felt a big connection to where I was living and being outside. Herbs like holy basil, yarrow (balancing hormones for women) and helichrysum (wound healer) are more than remedies. They are teachers. Traditional knowledge play a role in our intuitive understanding of herbs. The information has always been there, it is whether people are receptive. Plants protect themselves as they can’t move away from a threat. They have abilities to keep animals and people away from them. Hands on healing is so beautiful for mother to baby/child. Parents should cultivate their own confidence and not hand over all authority to the medical system. I encourage parents to have the confidence to take responsibility for their own children and to observe. A mother knows their child more than anyone else. And they sh

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
