Linton Bergsen (00:01):
Welcome to the Self-Realized Podcast with
Linton Bergsen, where you willshatter your limits.
I am not much into theself-help industry as much as
I'm into the self-realizedindividual, which is you, what
matters most to you, how you getthere and the obstacles that
may be in your way.
If you would like to be part ofthis podcast and part of that

(00:22):
discussion, I welcome you herewith an open heart, open mind
and open arms.
So, without further ado, let'sget on with the podcast.
A very warm welcome indeed toepisode number 109 of the

(00:48):
Self-Realized, Shatter yourLimits podcast with me, your
host, Linton Bergsen.
We are going to explore today avery interesting topic that will
greatly affect your journey tobeing self-realized and
self-realization, and it isAwaken and Manifest Your True
Self.
How do you in fact do that?
Because if we allow ourselvesand our potential to lay dormant

(01:14):
and we don't begin to access itand awaken it and begin to use
it, we are not living the lifethat we are entitled to.
And I say entitled to becauseyou have a divine birthright you
were born to be successful.
You were born to be everythingthat you can be.

(01:34):
So when you allow things toremain dormant within your life,
you are a sleeping giant, and Idon't want you to be a sleeping
giant.
I want you to be a giantunleashing your true potential
in this world every day.
And the only way that you cantruthfully do that is to awaken

(01:55):
and manifest your true self, doing two things.
Number one activating yourspiritual consciousness and
combining that in concert withthe divine will that is innately
preordained in your life atbirth to be used to help you be

(02:17):
your best self.
Let's take a look at these twoseparately, starting with your
spiritual consciousness.
Let's define that together soyou understand what that is, how
it works in your own life andhow you can begin to have it
work for you every day as apractical realization, practical

(02:44):
spirituality that you canactually use.
Your spiritual consciousness isessentially the voice within
you that is guiding you to doeverything that is best for you,
even though it may not be theeasiest.
Your spiritual consciousness isyou being truly aware of what's

(03:04):
happening inside of you, thatstill small voice, those
feelings, those beliefs that youhave, the things you want to
explore, the nudge that you mayreceive in a moment of intuitive
inspiration, nudging you to dosomething that you hadn't
thought of before but you feelintuitively is correct for you

(03:28):
to act upon.
Think of it like a flashlightin your heart.
It helps you see how you reallyfeel, what you really want and
what's good for you.
Let's discuss number two ofwhat it takes to awaken and
manifest your true self andexplore together what divine
will is.

(03:49):
For me, the word divine meanssomething higher, something
wiser or bigger than just youand me.
It can mean God.
It can mean cosmicconsciousness, it can mean the
universe or just the sense deepinside you that you want to be
connected to something that isbigger than you, that is pulling

(04:11):
you magnetically towards it byits own power, by its own
divinity, by its own divine willto express yourself differently
than you are now.
It's a very strong force.
It's a very strong force.
It's a very strong pull on yourspirit, your soul, on your
inner being.
Divine will is accessed by youunderstanding a point of

(04:38):
surrender to something biggerthan you.
It means that at some point youlet go of your own I, ego, will
and realize that may not beworking for you in the way that
you expected it, and you finallyreach the point of surrender

(04:58):
that you say to yourself Icannot go on any longer the way
I am.
So I need to make atransformation and lock myself
into something bigger than methat is willing me out of the
situations I am in and wantingto move me will me, through a

(05:19):
higher level of consciousnessand awareness, into a better
life.
Divine will isn't a magic wishor a genie.
It's more like the best planever for you, waiting for you to
step into it.
So imagine the universe, orwhatever you believe in, has a

(05:39):
dream for you, just like youhave dreams for yourself.
Divine will is that dream, thebiggest, brightest version of
yourself, waiting for you tolive it and step into it,
surrender to it and live areality that you never thought
possible.
What you are essentially doingis harmonizing your spiritual

(06:04):
consciousness and the divinewill in your life.
I'm sure you've heard of theterm work in harmony.
There's a reason for that, because when you work in harmony
with everything, the outcomesin your life are much better
than if you continually work inconflict and friction.
Contemplate on this for amoment what causes the most

(06:27):
disruption in your life?
It's when you're not gettingwhat you want frustrated desires
that you feel are not beingfulfilled that creates friction
and disharmony within you.
But when you choose to followthat intuitive voice and the
promptings of the divine willthat are helping to create the

(06:51):
situations for you to fulfillyour intuition, you will find
that the frustrated desiresbegin to dissipate as you
manifest into reality that whichyou are truly harmonized with
and in alignment, exercisingtrust and faith in yourself,

(07:12):
what you're feeling and what youare being propelled to do by
divine will and I use the wordpropelled because, if you can
imagine this, a hand on yourback pushing you forward is
propelling you into directionthat you may not want to go that

(07:33):
is divine will.
When you harmonize yourspiritual consciousness with
divine will, what you're doingis you're creating a powerful
alignment between your deepestinner self and your higher
purpose.
Imagine your spirit is like amusical instrument for a moment.
When it's tuned to the rightfrequency, which is divine will,

(07:56):
everything you do begins toresonate beautifully, not just
for you, but for those aroundyou.
It's important to begin to alsoaccept the concept of what
resonates with you, becauseharmonizing with everything and

(08:17):
things beginning to resonatewith you go hand in hand.
Divine will, once it's accessed, can be thought of as a higher
wisdom, in my opinion, a lovingintelligence that guides all
life when you listen to yourheart, your intuition, and you

(08:39):
trust your inner voice.
What you're allowing yourselfto do is to open yourself to
guidance greater than your ownlimited plans.
And that's important to digestand contemplate for a moment,
because divine will andintuition is unlimited.
It has no bounds.
Your imagination has no bounds.

(09:00):
Sometimes we can restrictourself, our growth and our
transformation by creatinglimited plans within our own
limited consciousness.
Divine will, spiritualconsciousness, has no limits.
You begin your transformationwhen you begin to align yourself
with your intuition and thedivine will within you.

(09:24):
You begin to move through lifewith more ease and clarity.
Now, this isn't about giving upwho you are.
It's about tuning your actions, your thoughts and all of your
dreams to something larger thatalways has your best interest in
mind.
And here's the important pointto contemplate for a moment.

(09:47):
Even if it doesn't seem thatway right away, at the moment it
might not be apparent, but ifyou stick with it, you'll see
that everything you go through,if you're in alignment with your
intuition and divine will, aligns with your highest good

(10:13):
always.
Here's how aligning yourspiritual consciousness with
divine will creates harmony thatresonates with your life's path
.
Number one clarity and purpose.
When your intentions match theflow of divine will you will
begin to realize confusionbegins to fade.
You notice synchronicities thatshow up, opportunities that

(10:34):
seem meant to be coincidences,so to speak, and people who help
move you forward.
Your path feels like it belongsto you because it does.
You're in ownership of thedivine will and your intuition
working positively in your life.
Number two greater peace.
Resistance begins to drop awaybecause when you're working in

(10:59):
harmony with things around you, there's less resistance and
friction.
You stop fighting against whatis not working in your life and
working with what is working ina very positive way, even when
obstacles occur, because you canfeel that things in your life
are moving in the rightdirection, even though

(11:21):
externally they don't appear tobe.
It's a feeling inside of you,an unexplained feeling that says
the outer environment might notlook or feel the way I would
like it to, but for some reasonmy inner environment feels in
alignment and it's only a matterof time before your inner

(11:45):
alignment lines up with outerreality.
And that, once again, isharmony.
Number three authenticity.
Your choices align with who youreally are at your core.
This is critical.
You're not living life for whatother people think or expect of
you.
You begin to feel more ofyourself than you ever have

(12:09):
because both your inner andouter worlds begin to match.
You are awakening andmanifesting your true self.
You are beginning to arouse andawaken the giant within that is
beginning to spread with powerand positivity throughout your
life, unleashing all kinds ofpossibilities, once again, that

(12:33):
you never thought were possible.
Number four you are going tofeel that you have empowered
actions.
Your actions are empowered withspiritual consciousness guiding
you.
You're inspired to take actionthat supports your true
potential in life.
Life feels less like a struggleand more like a meaningful

(12:58):
dance.
You're moving through life withlight feet, sidestepping what
doesn't work and then movingwith more deliberate actions
with what does, even whenchallenges arrive.
You begin to harmonize yourspirit with divine will.
It's like stepping into yourpurpose with all the support of

(13:21):
the entire universe behind you.
You manifest a life thatauthentically reflects all of
your unique gifts and they aretruly unique because they belong
to you and your deepest values, because you are now not just
moving forward.
You are moving in harmony witha path you are meant to travel

(13:43):
that resonates with you, so youhave harmony, working in
resonance with your entire being, creating a flow in your life
that you can receive no otherway.
I do want to be honest with you.
I'm sure you're aware of this.
Life isn't always roses.
You are going to at times, through this journey of

(14:06):
self-realization,self-empowerment, being
self-realized in the awarenessof harmony and resonance with
your spiritual consciousness anddivine will, and awakening and
manifesting your true self, theworld around you is going to
push back.
Maybe someone says your dreamis silly, what you're doing

(14:30):
doesn't make any sense, or youget scared and you will mess up.
That's all normal.
Just accept it as what iscoming down the road, because
you and I both know this life isnot straightforward.
There will be ups and downsthat you need to navigate.
That is normal, because whenyou aim for harmony, some

(14:55):
out-of-tune notes willinevitably show up.
You don't learn how to playyour beautiful, divine,
spiritually guided instrumentwithout playing out of tune now
and then.
But guess what?
Contemplate this for a moment.
Each time you choose to listento your real self and trust,

(15:19):
there's a much bigger plan foryou.
Those doubts will get quieter.
Even when things go wrong, you'll bounce back faster
because you are beingauthentically you.
You are living in coordinationand in alignment with the true

(15:40):
you, your intuition and thatwhich you are divinely appointed
to do.
You are not pretending to besomeone else.
Never underestimate the powerof authenticity, which I talk a
lot more about in episode number107.
If you'd like to listen to thatepisode, it is called What Do

(16:03):
The CEO of YouTube and JesusHave In Common?
That's an interesting episodethat you may, if you choose, to
take a listen to.
So what really happens?
If you decide that you're goingto create a life filled with
harmony and resonance with yourtrue self, if you really choose

(16:27):
to listen to your spirit and sayyes to your divine guidance,
what will happen to you is thisyou create a life that rings
true.
It will match your dreams veryimportantly your values and your
personality.

(16:47):
A lot of times, people losemotivation because they're not
connected truthfully with theirdreams, their personality and
their values.
What they're involved in is notringing true.
You do not want to be thatperson.
You want to be the person thatwakes up in the morning excited,
not dreading, the day.
You celebrate who you are, evenif you're still growing, even

(17:12):
when you're in transition.
Celebrate yourself.
Best of all others notice yourbeautiful light and want to know
how you got it.
I am going to give you somepractical tips, how you can
begin to really take this home,as I mentioned earlier, in a

(17:32):
very practical way what I'd liketo call practical harmony that
you can put this into practicethis week.
When you are obviously notlistening to the podcast.
Each morning, before you grabyour phone or run to breakfast,
pause, just take a minute andask yourself this question how

(17:54):
can I live true to my authenticself today?
Don't rush the answer, justcontemplate it for a moment and
then you can write it down, ifyou feel so inclined, and then
read it back to yourself so youdigest it on a very deep level.
Write a short intention for theday.

(18:16):
You can write anything downthat you'd like.
For example, you could saytoday I want to use my voice in
a positive way, speak up what Ibelieve in, even though others
may not agree with me.
That is empowering yourself, anempowered action that you can

(18:38):
take.
Notice what signs or so-calledcoincidences that the universe,
divine will, cosmicconsciousness brings into your
life that pop up.
Maybe someone gives you a wordof encouragement or you learn

(18:58):
something you really needed, orsomeone gives you something
unexpectedly that you reallywanted and needed in your life.
And this is very important thatI like to share with people.
At night before you go to bed.
Thank the divine spirit forgiving you the intuition and

(19:22):
being who you are, for guidingyou with positive expectancy for
the outcomes that have beendivinely appointed to you for a
harmonious life.
Thank yourself even for thesmaller steps that you have
taken towards creating greaterharmony in your life.

(19:42):
Small steps become big changeas you consistently take them.
Contemplate on this for amoment.
Harmonizing your spirit is neverjust a one-time thing.
Nothing ever is.
It's like anything else.
It's practice, it's working themuscle.

(20:04):
A little tuning in every day toyourself and the divine will in
your life keeps everythingrunning smoothly.
You keep your divine instrumentin tune.
Remember this the more youalign your soul, your spirit,

(20:27):
with divine will, you awaken andmanifest your true self.
Your life shines and feelsright.
So go out now, today, and liveyour truest life.
Awaken and manifest your trueself, because the world needs to

(20:52):
hear your music played throughyour own divine instrument,
because no one knows how to playand express that instrument
better than you.
I sincerely appreciate youlistening to the podcast.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
