Mood Mastery: Unlock The Energy That Drives Success

How emotional energy shapes performance, intuition, and daily success.

Your mood isn’t just background noise—it is also the frequency that shapes your results, relationships, and reality. In this breakthrough episode of Self-Realized: Shatter Your Limits with me, Linton Bergsen, you’ll uncover how your emotional state becomes the oxygen for motivation, the amplifier of intuition, and the key to effortless momentum. Through true stories, such as a founder who shifted from self-doubt to confidence and an athlete who realigned mid-performance, you’ll see how inner balance creates outer breakthroughs.

You’ll also learn practical tools like the Awareness Reset (to name and tame emotions), the 90-Second Mood Tuning Ritual (to prime your brain for focus), and a Three-Step Energy Re-calibration (to lift your motivation baseline in just one week). You'll delve deep into vibrational alignment, revealing why gratitude expands awareness, fear narrows perception, and authentic energy attracts clarity, confidence, and synchronicity.

This isn’t about pretending to be positive—it’s about deliberately choosing the energy you bring into every moment and letting that shift multiply across your day. Think of success like building a fire: motivation is the spark; mood is the oxygen. Pause before your next call or meeting, breathe deep, and ask yourself, “What energy am I broadcasting?”

Linton Bergsen (00:00):
Welcome to the self-realized podcast with
Linton Bergsen, where you willshatter your limits.
I'm not much into the self-helpindustry, as much as I'm into
the self-realized individual, which is you, what matters most
to you, how you get there, andthe obstacles that may be in
your way.
If you would like to be part ofthis podcast and part of that

(00:22):
discussion, I welcome you herewith an open heart, open mind,
and open arms.
So without further ado let's get on with the podcast. Today'sepisode is a deep dive not just

(00:45):
into success, but the veryforce that fuels it and is
sometimes overlooked.
Your mood.
This is episode number117, Mood Mastery: Unlock The
Energy That Drives Success.
Contemplate on this for amoment.
Have you ever considered thatyour mood is more than just an

(01:10):
emotion, it is an actualfrequency through which you
broadcast your own energy intothe world.
And here's the secret mostnever grasp.
You do not need to chasemotivation, you need to master
your mood.
Because a lot of times yourmotivation is tied to your mood.

(01:34):
That is part of mood mastery.
Master your mood, master yourmotivation.
Because your mood sometimes, not just your willpower,
determines your momentum.
Now stay with me on this.
Today we'll explore how toreshape your emotional frequency

(01:56):
because everything operates ata frequency.
Ignite your productive energyand unlock the subconscious
levers that drive true success, helping you to shift gears from
reacting to creating.
We have all been there morningswhere you wake up calm, the

(02:18):
world seems cooperative, andothers when your energy hits
turbulence even before yourcoffee does.

Here's the truth (02:25):
your mood is not random.
It is the result of what youtune into when you start the
day.
Think of it like radio static.
When your signal is clear, yourthoughts are positive, your
intention on purpose, everythingmoves, flows effortlessly, and

(02:49):
in sync.
Much more so than when you fuelyour awareness with fear,
frustration, negative thinking,or comparison.
You drain your very creativeforce.
But when you feed your statewith clarity, gratitude, and
intentional action, you become amagnetic force to success.

That's what magnetism is (03:16):
the ability to draw people to you
because of the energy you areputting out.
That's what magnetism allowsyou to do, to become a magnet,
to draw people into your circleto help you to get where you
need to go.
Let me give you an example ofthat.

(03:37):
A client of mine, Sarah, hadall the logic for success:
business plan, funding, contacts, but emotionally she
was at war with herself.
Her internal dialogue wasabsolutely toxic.
What if I fail?

(03:59):
What if I am not enough?
Once she learned to shift hermood before her meetings,
instead of forcing performancethrough stress and self-talk of
failure and not being enough, she transformed her thinking and
her energy into being all thatshe can be, understanding she

(04:24):
deserved to be successful andshe belonged in the room.
Within two months, she doubledher output and halved her
anxiety.
Her magnetic state, herconsciousness, what she was
putting out was drawing in whatshe needed to move her forward

(04:46):
towards her success.
There is no way you can createa positive outcome from a
negative mindset.
The self-realized individual isalways aware of their moods,
what's going on during the day, introspection, scanning their
consciousness, being aware,self-aware of where they are at

(05:13):
any given moment in time is themark of a very self-aware,
self-realized individual, whichyou are.
I am going to give you anexercise now that you can do
when you have time.
It is called The AwarenessReset.
Right now, pause.

(05:35):
Scan your emotional state.
What's the dominant moodrunning your life today?
Don't label it good or bad, just name it.
Naming emotion is tamingemotion.
Because you are beingself-aware of what's going on

(05:58):
with you and what you need to doabout it.
Once you see it withoutjudgment, its grip starts to
loosen on you.
It is like anything that isunruly without boundaries.
It needs taming.
Once you begin to tame youremotions, you begin to get

(06:20):
control of your mood, yourmotivation, and your momentum,
which will then help you to havegreater willpower to drive you
to the goals that you want tosucceed in.
Contemplate on this thought fora moment.
The most successful peoplearen't necessarily happier after

(06:44):
theyachieve. They achieve because they sustain higher moods which enable them to accomplish what they set out to do.

(07:13):
A lot of times you hear about successful people who say it was the journey to get where they needed to go that was exhilarating. Once they were there everything plateaued and they were looking for something else to try to achieve. Why?
Because it is in the journey, the right mood, the momentum,
the mindset, the motivation thatwe feel the most exhilarated.
It is while we areaccomplishing that we feel the
most alive.
It is not always theaccomplishment that gives us the
necessary fuel to keep going tothe next level.

(07:36):
Remember this while you aretrying to accomplish something
about moods.
A joyful mind generatescreative solutions.
A defeated mood blocksintuition.
Intuition is that still smallvoice talking to you from a

(07:56):
higher divine understanding.
It is funding you energy, it isfunding you thoughts, it is
funding you feelings that youlisten to if you are in a
creative mindset.
If you are constantly feedingyourself with defeated thoughts,
defeated ideas, defeatedself-talk, there is no way for

(08:20):
your intuition to blossom.
Positive energy cannot befunded to a negative vessel.
The space is already occupiedby something.
In order for you to receiveintuitive perception, you have
to be a receptive positivevessel, which can be

(08:43):
communicated through becausethere is a willingness to
receive the vibratoryfrequencies that will
communicate with you in thereceptive mode of a positive
mindset.
That is what I call the powerof vibrational alignment.

(09:04):
Your mood is a frequency dial.
If it's set to doubt, fear, andanxiety, you can only attract
resistance.
When tuned to gratitude, positive expectation and faith,

(09:26):
even challenges feel lighter, and you will attract intuition
and guidance from sources younever even thought possible.
Because intuition is avibrational alignment with the
divine source of all energy thatcreated you for your own

(09:50):
authentic purpose, talking toyou directly.
It can only communicate to youin a positive mindset, not in
fear and anxiety.
The self-realized individual isalways aware of that spiritual
alignment and law.

(10:10):
Intuition, like everythingelse, is a frequency.
You have to tune into it.
And here is an interestingfact.
When you are in the right mood,in the right mindset, even
challenges feel lighter.

(10:31):
Let me give you an example ofthat from my own life.
Years ago, when I transitionedcareers, I faced uncertainty.
Friends told me it was risky, but every decision that I made
from fear only created morefear.
Only when I recalibrated, choosing to act from calm

(10:55):
certainty, did the right people, clients, and synchronicity show
up.
That wasn't coincidence, it wasresonance.
Vibrational alignmentresonating with that which was
and is authentically divinelyappointed for me to complete in

(11:19):
this lifetime.
You have to resonate what isright for you in your lifetime.
I would like to give you what Icall a Mood Tuning Ritual when
you are not listening to thepodcast that you can use.
Before your key task today, take 90 seconds, close your

(11:43):
eyes, inhale deeply, hold forthree counts, and exhale slowly.
Now recall a memory thatamplifies gratitude or pride.
Visualize that emotion as lightsurrounding you.
Hold it.

(12:04):
That's your energetic anchor.
Carry it into your nextconversation or creation.
This single act shifts yourpsychology, refocuses your
energy, and primes your brainfor success.
It's very important tounderstand mood mastery is an

(12:29):
art of choice.
You cannot control the storm, but you can control your sail.
When someone cuts you off, misses a deadline, or doubts
you, that is your laboratory, your place to begin
experimenting with what is realfor you.

(12:49):
It is through experimentationthat anyone achieves true
results between what works andwhat doesn't.
Reactivity is emotional debt.
It drains future energy.
Awareness, self-awareness isinvestment.
It multiplies and builds uponthe energy for your future

(13:16):
success.
This brings to mind a story ofan athlete I once worked with
who trained harder than anyonebut still lost his confidence
mid-game.
Not because of skill, butbecause his energy collapsed
after very small mistakes.

(13:36):
We practiced emotionalrecalibration mid-performance, a
deep breath, a key word resetlike flow.
You will want to name your ownthat works for you, and
visualization of his nextsuccess.

(13:57):
Within three weeks, performanceanxiety dropped by 80%.
I would like to give you whenyou have time something that you
can use.
It's called a Three-Steprecalibration.
Number one, notice the moodyou're in.
Number two, name the storybehind it.

(14:21):
And number three, redirectattention to what is in your
control.
Do this three times a day forone week.
And your mental baseline beginsto elevate.
You always want to be aware ofwhere your baseline is, where
you're starting from, becausethat is the jump point for your

(14:46):
elevation.
The higher your baseline, thehigher your jump.
So what is the connectionbetween mood and success
momentum?
Think of success like buildinga fire.
Motivation is the spark, moodis the oxygen.

(15:07):
The better the oxygen flow, thehotter and longer the fire
burns.
We know as individuals, themore oxygen we have in our
system, the more energy we haveand the healthier we are.
Mood mastery doesn't denynegative feelings.
It redirects them.

(15:28):
Every shadow emotion, fear, frustration, envy holds trapped
energy waiting to be releasedthrough awareness.
I had a listener who reachedout to me, a brilliant designer,
yet his perfectionism lockedhim into self-doubt loops.

(15:54):
He restarted projectsendlessly.
His practice, each time he feltoverwhelmed, he paused.
He did a thirty-second heartfocus breath reset.
He imagined sendingappreciation to a person he

(16:15):
admired.
He took a walk.
He refocused his mind ondifferent positive experiences.
He created shifts in his moodsdeliberately.
Within three months, hiscreativity was fluent again.
Simply by mindful awareness ofpausing and taking thirty

(16:42):
seconds to reset his mood.
Every shift in mood realignsyour inner compass to higher
energy states.
Over time, success stops beinga grind and it actually becomes
an expression of who you are.

(17:03):
Which actually is your naturalstate to be expressed
consistently and constantlyevery day.
Remember this you don't masteryour life by controlling every
outcome.
You master it by managing theenergy you bring into each

(17:24):
moment.
MoodMastery: Unlock The Energy That Drives Success,
is not about pretending to bepositive.
It's about becoming presentenough to choose the frequency
that fuels your highest self, asI mentioned earlier.

(17:45):
That is the power ofvibrational alignment.
So today decide will you letyour mood be accidental or
intentional?
Start with one shift beforeyour next meeting, your next
call, your next thought.
Pause, breathe, and ask, whatenergy am I bringing to this

(18:12):
situation?
If this episode helped youreconnect with the power within,
share it with someone who isready to rise higher.
And remember, true successbegins when you realize that
your emotional energy is yourgreatest currency.
Until the next episode, which Ihope you'll join me for, stay

(18:37):
awakened, stay aligned, and keepshattering your limits.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
