Linton Bergsen (00:01):
Welcome to the Self-Realized Podcast with
Linton Bergsen, where you willshatter your limits.
I am not much into theself-help industry as much as
I'm into the self-realizedindividual, which is you, what
matters most to you, how you getthere and the obstacles that
may be in your way.
If you would like to be part ofthis podcast and part of that

(00:22):
discussion, I welcome you herewith an open heart, open mind
and open arms.
So, without further ado, let'sget on with the podcast.
Thank you for taking yourvaluable time and energy to join

(00:51):
me on episode 90 of theSelf-Realized Shatter your
Limits podcast, Command CentralReclaiming Your life's Direction
.
Sometimes I think you wouldagree that we lose direction in
life.
However it occurs, we need toget back on track.
We can lose direction fromadversity.
We can lose direction becauseof lack of focus.
We can lose direction becausewe don't have clear set goals.

(01:15):
Direction is something that weseek because we want to know, to
some extent, where we're going.
We want to know how we're goingto get there and we want to
know that the outcome that we'reseeking can be achieved.
All of those things require usto think about what direction do

(01:37):
you and I want to take in ourlife.
Where are we headed?
Where is the roadmap?
Bigger question that I wouldsuggest occurs within all of us
is where are we making thosedecisions from?
Where is our command centraloperating from?
Are we making them from alimited belief system or are we

(02:01):
making them from a place ofawareness, self-awareness,
self-realization?
Because if you're not makingyour decisions from the right
place, you're going to end up atthe wrong destination.
Let me give you a suggestionthat will lead you, I believe,
in the right direction to makethe correct decisions for you.

(02:24):
It's based in a deep spiritualunderstanding and awareness that
once you master and begin tounderstand it at the very core
and depth of your own being andself, you will have a different
realization, self-realizationabout how you begin to move in a

(02:46):
direction that you may betotally unaware of, you may be
not even thinking about in aconscious way or level at this
time, because it is notinculcated and ingrained in your
consciousness and in the verycells of your being.
When you make a decision, contemplate on this for a moment

(03:10):
.
Do you make your decisions andthe direction you're going to
take in life upon fear or faith?
Contemplate on that for a quicksecond faith, and I will give

(03:31):
you a acronym for that which Ihave come up with following all
intuition to hope, fear, falseevidence appearing real.
Which one are you making yourdecisions from, and when you
think about that and contemplateon that for a moment.

(03:54):
Faith-based decisions don'treally have a limit as to how
the outcome may look.
It's based upon a sense of whatit is you feel that you can do
and the direction you can take.
Fear-based decisions are basedupon you keeping control, not
stepping out of your own box,out of your own limitations, but

(04:18):
keeping yourself in acontrolled environment, in a
controlled thought process, which is not really allowing you
to expand the direction thatyou can go in.
It's keeping you limited.
Expansion allows you to move inmany different directions.
If you think about somethingexpanding, it expands outward,

(04:42):
like the universe, like thegalaxy.
It can continue to expand.
It's an awareness.
When you base your decisions onfaith, you're basing all your
decisions and your direction.
You're putting command andcontrol into the universe.
You're allowing the universe tobe the command central of the

(05:05):
manifestation of what it isyou're trying to accomplish, as
opposed to fear.
Where you are not expanding, you are constricting, you are
restricting yourself fromexperiencing what is truly
available.
So reclaiming your life'sdirection is really reclaiming

(05:27):
your entire ability to beself-realized as an unlimited,
faith-based individual.
When you are setting directionsin your life For example, if I
were to ask you if you're not ina relationship what it is?
You would not in a relationship, what it is you'd like in a
relationship contemplate for amoment what you may write down.

(05:51):
If you are in a relationship, you may want to write down the
direction you'd like it tocontinue going in the future.
If you have children, then youmight want to write down
direction of where you wouldlike to see their life progress
into the future.
And if you have a workenvironment that you're in,

(06:14):
again same thing the directionthat you would like to see
yourself going in your career,as well as in your health and
many other areas.
When you write these lists downand you begin to look at them,
contemplate on this for a moment.
Is there any guarantee that anyof that will happen?

(06:37):
Is there any sense of controlthat you have that all the goals
, all the ideas, everything thatyou've written down so far,
will actually happen?
They are the directions thatyou would like to see your life
manifest.
Your command central is basedupon you being able to direct

(07:02):
your life in the way that youwould think would work out best
for you.
The problem with doing that isthat you don't really have any
control that that's going tohappen.
Nobody does.
So when you look at reclaimingyour life's direction, I have a
suggestion for you, somethingI've done in my life.

(07:24):
When you look and consider thefirst two words of this episode
Command Central who or what doyou call define?
Begin to articulate in your ownmind, begin to become

(07:45):
self-aware of.
Articulate in your own mind, begin to come self-aware of, can
begin to really identify withas the source of your command
central.
And the most important wordthere is the source of your
command central.
This episode is suggesting thatyou reclaim your life's

(08:07):
direction.
And how do you go aboutreclaiming something?
It means that you haven'tclaimed it yet.
You reclaim something byre-identifying where it is that
your direction comes from andthe source of what it is that

(08:27):
you are seeking direction from.
Your command central is not you.
Your command central is adivine source of energy that is
funding you the direction inyour life, because, as we can
see, through world events thatare continuing to unravel and

(08:49):
unfold around us.
Nothing that we have as adirection in life can occur as
we thought it would, withoutsome type of uncertainty,
intervention or adversity.
We are unable, at any time inour life, to really understand

(09:14):
what is going to happen on adaily basis.
Success in life is acceptingthat that you don't understand
on a daily basis what is goingto happen.
Reclaiming your life'sdirection means that you free
yourself up to be open to anydirection that your life goes
into, because your commandcentral is based on faith and

(09:38):
not fear.
And when you begin tounderstand that faith is a
driving force, the pinnaclebehind your life and its
direction, it frees you up tolive in a different way.
Let me explain that to you.
Let's say that I was looking ata relationship or anything in

(10:03):
life that is a fabric of who Iam and who we all are.
I might write down certainthings about the job a person
has, the way they look, thefamily they come from, the
spiritual or religiousbackground that I feel that they
may have to belong to for me tobe part of being in a

(10:23):
relationship with them, thepolitical aspirations that they
go towards.
All these things I write down.
Those are things that I want.
Let's say I was to approachlife from a different direction
and my command central withinmyself wasn't really about
identifying any particularspecificity, what things need to

(10:47):
look like, but how I needed togrow, how I needed to feel.
Let me explain that to you.
Let's say I was looking for apartner that would challenge me,
that would make me think out ofthe box, that I could work with
on growing and developingmyself.
That would be uncomfortable, that would make me think

(11:07):
differently, that, no matterwhat, I was always able to
relate to this individual on asoul level, which was much more
important to me than anythingelse.
What if what they look likewasn't the most important thing,
but who they are, theircharacter?
What about if their religiousor spiritual affiliations didn't

(11:31):
matter as much as how theyactually lived their life?
What if the amount of moneythey made wasn't as important as
who they are?
Because, ultimately, you couldhave someone who makes a lot of
money and they cheat on you allthe time.
What good is that to you?
You could have someone whomakes a lot of money and they
cheat on you all the time.
What good is that to you?
Not, of course, that moneyisn't important, but it's not
the driving factor from yourcommand central.

(11:54):
As a self-realized individual,you understand that.
So reclaiming your life'sdirection is really reclaiming
what it is that you're lookingfor and in your own command
central, your own soul, essenceof who you are, what is it truly
that you are trying to fulfill?
Looking at command central andreclaiming your life direction

(12:15):
simply means this when are youcoming from, where are you
commanding yourself, operatingfrom, to come up with the
direction that you want?
And are you reclaiming yourlife's direction from a value
standpoint, a spiritualstandpoint, or are you looking

(12:38):
at it from a physical standpoint, predominantly a material
outcome?
When we go into this world, predominantly a material outcome
.
When we go into this world, weneed to be satisfied, we need to
be happy, we need to befulfilled and we cannot, if we
keep pursuing just outermanifestations, ever get to that

(13:00):
point of self-realization.
The most important aspect ofyour life, my life, is inner
happiness, inner peace.
We know by just looking aroundus that possessions, people,

(13:21):
external circumstances andsituations are totally
unpredictable.
The only thing that ispredictable that you can
possibly have in your commandcentral, in your control, is
developing faith in yourself, that which created you, and

(13:44):
knowing that, no matter whathappens, no matter how well
thought out your plans, that youare able to deal with any and
everything because you areworking on that faith-based

(14:05):
place within yourself that saysI have always wanted to be in a
place that I trust myself toovercome anything that presents
itself to me.
Because I have always seekedout the path that would lead me
into using faith, which meansthat you've challenged yourself,

(14:26):
you've taken the risks, you'veput yourself on the line, you've
looked at the abyss and stillgone forward because you had the
faith within yourself to do it.
The beauty of living thatfaith-based existence not
looking at externalgratification, but internal

(14:47):
realization is that when we gointo life and we have worked
that muscle thoroughly, theunknown becomes the known.
Why do I say that?
How can I say that?
Why do I say that?

(15:14):
How can I say that?
Because the unknown is alwaysgoing to deal with faith.
The unknown is based on havingthat solid inner sanctuary that
says I don't know what's goingto happen.
I'm looking at an abyss here, but your faith may be tested.
It always will be, becausethat's just how we are
constructed.
You can say you have it untilone day you really have to have

(15:37):
it tested to see if you do.
But I can guarantee you this inyour life and in my life,
everything centers around aspiritual awareness.
Whether we admit to it, whetherwe define it, whether we
understand it, situations andcircumstances are always going

(15:57):
to drill us down tocircumstances we have no control
over and building our muscle offaith.
And what I really, really wantfor you to get out of this
episode is this your command andcontrol center in reclaiming
the direction of your life isnot trying to control the

(16:21):
outcomes of your life, nottrying to manifest things only
on your terms.
Understand that having goalsare great, having a nice house
is great, having a greatrelationship is great, but any
time in our lives, all of thosecan implode at a moment.

(16:44):
We have no idea what couldhappen to our mate.
We have no idea what couldhappen to our children.
We have no idea what couldhappen to our house.
We have no idea what couldhappen to our job.
Uncertainty is the only thingyou are guaranteed in this life.
Uncertainty is an absolute,ongoing occurrence.

(17:05):
Especially now is an absoluteongoing occurrence, especially
now.
No-transcript.
I know that no matter whathappens, whatever direction my
life takes, I am going to workwith the source of all creation

(17:29):
to guide me faithfully throughevery situation I find myself in
.
Because I'm doing my work nowin meditation, in quietness, in
as much solitude as I can find, and removing myself from the ego

(17:49):
, the material world, andreducing myself to that inner
sanctum of surrender to forcesgreater than myself, which is
what we are all basically everyday involved in, to manifest
every day in everything I do.
Living there as your commandcentral becomes a habit after a

(18:13):
while.
It doesn't mean that you everreally get truly comfortable
with it.
I've always had this place inme that I have faith.
I have a lot of it.
But sometimes I look at theabyss and the gaping hole is so
big it's a chasm.
And how am I going to crossthis chasm?

(18:35):
How does this possibly occurnow?
I mean, I have that thought, but I always come back to my
command central to say you knowwhat I don't know I've never
known, because I've worked on itmy whole life.
I've had this reference point, like any habit, that I'm
comfortable with the unknown, because I've lived there so many

(18:55):
times, never panicked, nevergone into anxiety.
And the only way you begin toget to that normalcy of not
going into panic and anxietywhen you're faced with the
unknown is to have experiencedthat when you are faced with the
unknown, it always worked out,it always came good somehow, and

(19:18):
that you didn't have to figureout all the details, you just
had to have faith.
You just had to have surrender.
And when you're reclaiming yourlife's direction, when you're
looking at living life at itsfullest, what you are really
reclaiming is that any directionlife takes you in, you have the
faith to know it's the rightdirection and that the source,

(19:41):
your command central, iswatching over you to take you
down to the next journey andadventure in your life.
That is why the title of thisepisode is Command Central
Reclaiming your Life's Direction.
Make sure your command centralis always based in the

(20:02):
self-realization that there is asource much bigger than you
watching over you, guiding you, helping you.
As long as you acknowledge it,as long as you acknowledge that
you need help, that you are notthe doer, that you are
constantly at this place ofsurrender in your life, things

(20:23):
will work out.
Your direction in life is basedupon how much faith you have.
Your demise in life is basedupon how much fear you have.
It's always going to be thatsimple decision Faith, following
all intuition to hope.
When you have hope, you have alot of optimism.

(20:46):
Hope my acronym for it ishaving optimistic, positive
expectation.
Fear, as I mentioned earlier, false evidence appearing real.
Just choose which one of thoseyou want to have as the
operating center for yourcommand central.

(21:08):
Then, when you've decided thatyou can now reclaim your life's
direction based upon fear orfaith, with hope being the
pivotal place that you live, because without hope you can't
do anything.
You become anxious, you havedespair.

(21:30):
So follow your dreams, makeyour goals, but ultimately know
that your command central andreclaiming your life's direction
is something that is an ongoingjourney every single day,

(21:51):
because I've taught myself thissimple lesson and I'm sure that
you can relate and willassociate with it Expect the
unexpected, because it isinevitable.
It's just how you meet it thatwill dictate your life's

(22:13):
direction.
