I’ve been struggling with posting the recordings I’ve made because they were very much me trying to talk in a way that isn’t me. I’ve come to terms with the fact that Selfed is an out loud journal for me to process things. Those who listen will take from it what they need to use as an example for them to process their own things as well. On this episode, I speak to being in the New York Times, which is a major milestone of any successful person to accomplish, but I am more disappointed about it than anything else, which because of this situation, I’ve decided I’m never going to disappoint myself again. How I’ll do that will have to be explained in another episode when I can figure that out for myself. The big takeaway is that I attach a story to situations that make me not want to ask for what I need/want rather than being brave enough to learn the story if that’s even necessary at all. My girl Teal Swan said something that stuck with me, which is that people WANT to meet our needs. That’s a hard thing for me to believe BECAUSE I choose not to act in a way that challenges my belief on it. I challenged my belief on this and affirmed what Teal Swan said when I went to Fan Con Saturday. Details in the episode!

Boysober

Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
