El estrés crónico puede tener un impacto negativo significativo en la función cognitiva, incluyendo la memoria, la concentración, el aprendizaje y la toma de decisiones.
Cuando experimentamos estrés, nuestro cuerpo libera hormonas del estrés como el cortisol y la adrenalina. Estas hormonas son útiles en el corto plazo para ayudarnos a enfrentar situaciones peligrosas o desafiantes. Sin embargo, la exposición prolongada al estrés puede tener efectos dañinos en el cerebro.
