Senior Stooges

Senior Stooges

"Helping Old Geezers Navigate Retirement" is more than just our motto — it’s our mission. Senior Stooges is a podcast where three lifelong friends (over 40 years strong!) dive into the ups and downs of life after work. In each episode, we share real conversations about the opportunities and challenges we face as retired men — from navigating healthcare and caring for aging parents to tackling isolation, travel, technology, and more. Of course, no episode is complete without a bit of banter and plenty of laughs. We hope you find Senior Stooges both helpful and entertaining as we explore what it really means to retire — together.

Let’s be honest: the Stooges are not exactly museum-quality specimens. Each one comes fully equipped with odd habits, strange routines, and quirks the others are more than happy to turn into comedy ammunition. Listen as they confess their idiosyncrasies, take a few friendly shots, and prove once again that nobody roasts a Stooge quite like another Stooge.

Can they just throw it away?

In this episode, we wanted to exploit Stooge Brian once again by having his daughter as our guest while she is in town visiting. Alas, she must have been paid off because we heard a fair number of niceties about him rather than the “dirt”. This was also our first episode that we recorded remotely while lunching together. It wasn’t great, with a lot of background noise, but what do you expect from T...

Originally planned as our St. Patrick’s Day episode, this show took a twist when Stooge Brian was surprised with a special guest—his son. We brought him on to share what it’s like to be Brian’s son, and the conversation was full of questions, candid moments, and plenty of unfiltered stories. There was no shortage of laughter at Brian’s expense, making this episode one you truly won&rsqu...

In this episode, the Stooges touch on the reality that healing from injuries, surgeries, and the everyday aches and pains takes much longer than it did in their youth. They share stories about how a simple pulled muscle or a minor sprain now seems to linger for weeks, and how bouncing back from surgery is no longer a quick affair. As usual, they find humor in the sometimes-frustrating process of physical recovery as...

It might be hard to believe, but in this episode the Stooges will be talking about how to stay mentally sharp. As retirees, not dealing daily demands of things like careers, finances and family, the mind can slow down. The Stooges share how they keep their minds stimulated and convey ideas on how to stay sharp as a tack. Of course, any episode would not be complete without the typical Stooge sarcasm and self-depreca...
