I'll be the first to admit we might have been cracking some beers doing this recording, so I hope you enjoy it! This is a much less regimented episode than I usually do, so let me know what you think of the format compared to "usual" weeks.
Admittedly limited podcast notes for this episode: http://sensationalshegeek.weebly.com/full-archive/ep95-the-chariot-of-tarot-the-manga-villainess-james-gunns-dcu-superman-legacy-casting-chat-gotgv3-and-more
Tarot card of the week is the Chariot! I don't have anything too interesting for history unfortunately, just the usual symbolism, meanings, and pop culture.
The Manga of the Week is The Fed Up Office Lady Wants to Serve the Villainess! Not available in print in English, so that's up to you to figure out. But man, do I love this one! Easy to catch up on as it's only about 8 chapters in!
Which ends what I actually planned for the episode--the remainder is free reign discussion between myself and Adam about recent Geek culture/pop culture events. We start with the recent casting rumors and short lists for James Gunn's much looked-forward-to Superman: Legacy movie. We go through our wants and expectations, along with the names who might be playing various important characters.
Then it's continuing the Gunn discussion with Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. Granted, we haven't seen it in theaters, but I've seen enough and heard enough to know I won't be seeing it there period. We are not a household that puts up with visceral animal pain. But there's more than that to talk about, and so with what we know, we do.
Lastly, it had to happen: more Amazing Spider-Man comics discussion, this time in connection to footage from the upcoming Spider-Verse movie! But don't just stop here, the whole episode is full of little bits and pieces of geek culture being talked about, including the DnD movie, DC's Knight Terrors event, and more! I hope you enjoy our tipsy chat, and there should be a slightly more regular episode back again next week--unless y'all really prefer this! Let me know.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
