Subjects are fun, entertaining, and often educational. Host Wade Kisner speaks with guests of various backgrounds: Hunter, Breeder, Veterinarian, other experts, or just regular folk who have a passion for the outdoors.

Steve Goodwin shot his first rooster on family property outside Wellman, Iowa. Steve said he wasn’t sure who was more surprised his Dad or him. This hunting event set the stage for a passion for bird hunting that continues today. Steve Nash grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and learned many outdoor skills related to hunting and fishing from his Uncle, Jack Brown. He has many fond memories calling in ducks and geese and the camaraderie that can only be found in a goose pit with family and close buddies. Steve fondly recalls the annual pheasant hunting trips to Viborg, South Dakota in the late fifties.

Steve Hornung grew up in Iowa Falls, Iowa and was exposed to pheasant hunting at an early age. Steve learned about bird hunting and dogs from his uncle. This experience created a life long love of bird hunting which continues this day. As a career educator Steve found himself living in rural areas of Iowa where pheasant hunting was very popular.

Larry Wray is a life long resident of Poweshiek County having grown up in Grinnell, Iowa.
