Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't need more downloads, you just need this
one shift that will turn yourpodcast into a high ticket
client magnet.
I'm Julie Baranek, founder ofPodvantage, and you've been told
that more downloads, morelisteners and more reach will
give you more clients, andthat's a lie.
That's what most people chase, and they really just chase the

(00:23):
vanity metrics.
But when you're a leader, anexpert and someone who your work
just changes people's lives, you're putting out incredible
episodes showing up consistently, but high ticket clients still
aren't coming in.
And more listeners don'tautomatically equal more
business.
It's not about attracting themasses.

(00:43):
It's about attracting the rightpeople, those that you would
love to have a equal morebusiness.
It's not about attracting themasses.
It's about attracting the rightpeople, those that you would
love to have a thousand more of,and that's what your podcast
should truly be focused on andwho you should be speaking to.
When you create your podcastepisodes, one of the most
important things is not to speakto everybody, because
inevitably, you're speaking tonobody.

(01:04):
You should write your episodes, speak your episodes to one
person, to that dream personthat you want a thousand more of
, and I'll give you the secretthat the best way to do that is
to actually invite them to be aguest on your show.
When you change how you useyour podcast to just spewing out

(01:28):
content or creating content andinstead use it as a
relationship building tool, yourpodcast will do amazing things
for you and it will bring in thehighest value clients, because
you're not just speaking toeverybody, right, you're
actually using it to build thatgenuine relationship, and you
don't need a million listeners, you just need the right

(01:51):
listeners.
So when you are inviting yourdream client to be a guest on
your show and you're speakingdirectly to that dream person in
all of your episodes, youraudience will ultimately be
comprised of your dream clients, the people who ultimately want
to do business with you, whorecognize your expertise, who

(02:13):
want more of your genius.
That's who your audience isgoing to be and that's who you
will be building a relationshipwith week after week after week.
And this is so incrediblypowerful because your dream
clients aren't just passivelyscrolling for content.
They want solutions and theywant the genius that you have.

(02:34):
So when you're just chasing bignumbers with your podcast, it
dilutes your message and itmakes it harder to connect with
your perfect fit clients, whereas if you're micro, laser
focused on speaking directly tothat person.
Right, I know it sounds silly, but when you speak to that one
person, your audience becomesfilled with that person, right?

(02:58):
Those are the people youattract and you repel people
that don't align with yourmessage.
So, when you're building youraudience, build it for that
person that you can help betterthan anybody else in the world,
that you get amazing results.
For, like, that's the personyou want to speak to and that's
the person that you would wantto clone.

(03:18):
So this is the way that you do.
It is through your podcast.
So, instead of chasingdownloads, shift your strategy
to attract and convert yourdream client.
Speak directly to your dreamclient.
Picture that individual thatyou would love to have a
thousand more of.
Every episode should feel likeyou're having a conversation

(03:40):
with them, addressing theirspecific desires, their
struggles, their goals, likeyou're speaking directly to
their head, to their thoughts.
They're like how did you knowthat?
Like, how did you know that?
That's what I was going through?
No-transcript.

(04:00):
Invite them.
Number two invite them to beguests on your podcast.
Reach out to people that youwould love to have to work with,
right To have as your clients.
People love, love, love, as youknow, to be on podcasts.
So when they get an invitationfrom you to be a guest on your
podcast, people will jumpthrough hoops to get on your

(04:21):
podcast.
So why not use that as astrategic invitation to build a
relationship with that person?
This is not a bait and switchstrategy at all.
Okay, there are people outthere that do that.
That's not what this is.
This is being intentional andstrategic of who you invite to
be on your show and using it tobuild a genuine relationship

(04:42):
with them and doing it as a givefor them, where everything
you're doing is a give and tohelp them to build a
relationship.
Everything is to build arelationship.
Okay, so use your podcastinstead of just speaking to the
masses.
Use it as a relationshipbuilding machine, frankly, that

(05:03):
you can invite your dreamclients to be a guest on your
show and build that relationship.
And thirdly, your podcast isn'tjust content.
It's a conversion tool.
Design every episode to leadseamlessly to the next step,
whether it's a discovery call aVIP offer a direct invitation to
work with you.
Whether it's a discovery, calla VIP offer a direct invitation

(05:24):
to work with you.
Structure your episodes so thatit's a natural flow at the end
of the episode or wherever it is.
You can also do ads in themiddle of your episode that it's
driving to your call to action.
Take advantage of thoseopportunities to further that

(05:44):
relationship with your listenersso that they know the next step
in working with you.
Because they've experiencedyour genius, they want more of
what you have.
Podcasting is a very intimateconnection with people where
they're listening to you, whenthey're out running, when
they're driving, when they'reone-on-one like you have a
connection with their thoughtsand usually they're pretty
focused on what it is thatyou're saying.

(06:05):
So take advantage of that in agood way so that they know the
next step to connect with you.
Make it super easy to work withyou.
Like there's so many barriersthat we often put up in our
businesses with working with ourclients.
Take them all away.
Make it as easy as possible towork with you and you'll be
amazed at the results.

(06:32):
And I discovered all of thiskind of by accident when I
started my podcast and the lightbulb went off for me when I
first started my podcast where Iput out I was actually invited
to be a guest on somebody's showas the queen of automation,
because that's my sweet spot andmy expertise and I fell in love
with the format and really justwanted to do more of it.
So I put out an invitation onFacebook and said, hey, this is

(06:56):
specifically who I want to talkto.
Who would you be interested onbeing on my show?
And I expected nothing.
I went to bed, that was it, andI really truly expected nothing
.
And the next day I woke up andI had over a hundred people that
wanted to be a guest on my showand I realized this is massive,
like the potential inpodcasting is absolutely massive

(07:18):
and I knew I had to figure itout.
And as I continued through thosesteps, I invited my dream
client to be a guest on my showand actually the first interview
that I did, I ended upconverting her into a high
ticket client.
So this works, and I've donethis with countless of my own
clients, teaching them how to dothe same and built out a

(07:42):
beautiful automated system thatmakes this incredibly easy for
you.
So it's really, really powerful.
I ended up ramping up mypodcast ridiculously, where I
was doing as many as threeepisodes a day, and I would not
recommend that.
But that's what the system thatI built the VIP podcast launch

(08:03):
is meant for is having as high avolume as you want, but
teaching you how to build thatrelationship with your dream
clients in a way that's easy,that's seamless, it's white
glove, it's incredibly easy thatit just takes so much off of
your plate.
And this gives you a way toconvert high-ticket clients with

(08:25):
your podcast without needing togo viral or chase influencer
stats.
So if you're ready to turn yourpodcast into a powerful sales
tool, book a call with me forthe VIP podcast launch and let's
make your next episode yourmost profitable one yet by
speaking directly to the peoplethat you'd love to have a

(08:45):
thousand more of.
Remember, your next dreamclient is just one episode away.
