In This Week in Pop-Culture we’re talking about a CNN article titled Is Losing Weight an Important Health Goal? This article is a part of a larger series on disordered eating and diet culture. We break down some quotes from medical professionals used within the article and consider the validity of those statements.

We go on a bit of a tangent about capitalism, “quiet-quitting”, and the idea that “people just don’t want to work anymore”.

Our listener question this week is from a 29 year old cis woman trying to navigate a sexual relationship with her partner now that they are co-habitating. Highlighted topics are: responsive desire vs spontaneous desire, navigating turn ons AND turn offs, & mindfulness during sex.

Then we have wins of the week! Cassie is bringing a Reel from Instagram where a fat activist provides some tips on how to make requests of the FAA regarding seat size on airplanes.
