In This Week in Pop-Culture we’re talking about Lizzo and.. whatever the hell his name is? Aries Spears? He did an interview where he said some heinous crap about her appearance and was wildly fatphobic. We break down the different ways that even the interviewer participates in this. We talk about the unique ways that fatphobia impacts women vs men and especially women of color.
Our listener question this week is from a woman who’s annoyed with her partner for making sex jokes and innuendo as a way to initiate sex. We talk about how to communicate better about this and we give lots of examples. We also play devil’s advocate a bit in trying to interpret the meaning behind the behavior to give a different perspective!
Then we have wins of the week! Cassie talks about their little sister’s hilarious terms and conditions for a threesome. Hailey is tapped out because we have extended family stressors this week.
