For Baby Boomers, Spring Break was a BIG DEAL. On today's episode Rick looks back at some of his favorite Spring Break locations and then sits down with the incredible Lisa Murray. Lisa recently retired from the sports and entertainment industry after nearly three decades, and is a mastermind of developing and implementing ingenious activation programs for high profile clients and brands at prominent events, like the FIFA World Cup and Olympic Games, Murray is an industry heavyweight who has won numerous awards. She has been named one of Ad-week’s 35 powerful women in sports, SportsBusiness Journal’s 20 most influential women in the industry, and was named to Sporting News annual “Power 100” list. In this engaging conversation, Lisa shares her journey from growing up in Long Island to navigating a successful career in sports marketing, highlighting the challenges and triumphs of being a woman in a male-dominated industry. She reflects on her college years, early career experiences, and the importance of mentorship. Lisa also discusses her retirement, the joys of travel, and her desire to explore more of the U.S. while emphasizing the value of believing in oneself and others. As always Rick shares an amazing place to eat 'On The Road with Rick' and asks the question 'Is it Ghost Season in Business?' on 'The Boom!'.
