place.
Self-limiting beliefs arelittle lies we tell ourselves
that keep us from greatness.

(01:08):
You know, like I'm not smartenough or I'm too old to try
something new.
Think of a goal you've beenavoiding.

I know I'm always told thatbecause I'm the delirious
optimist.
But let's dig a little bit, grab a piece of paper and write
down one belief you carry foryears.

(01:51):
Where do you think it came from?
Is it yours or did someone elseplant it there?
Let's get into some strategiesfor identifying self-limiting
beliefs.
To some strategies foridentifying self-limiting

Now, awareness is key.
Every time you think, I can'tpause and ask yourself why not?

(02:12):
Are you stopping yourself or isthis an actual barrier?
Second challenge the belief Ask.
Is this true?
Is there evidence to supportthis belief or is it just a fear
wearing a convincing disguise?
For example, if you think I'mnot smart enough to do or start

(02:34):
a business, look at all theself-taught entrepreneurs
driving out there.
A lot of them don't even have adegree of formal training.
Sometimes you have to reframeyour narrative, shift it Instead
of saying I've never done thisbefore.
Try.
This is an exciting opportunityto learn something new.
Prompty, prompt.

(02:55):
Take one limiting belief andwrite a new, empowering version
of it.
For example, change I'm too oldto switch careers to.

challenge your belief?
Commit to it.

I challenge you to find oneinspiring story today that
contradicts your belief.

I'm learning every day.
What's yours?
I'm capable and I'm learningevery day what's yours.
Now we know that there are reallife barriers and breakthroughs.

I assumed I'd be inconsistentand no one would listen.
Now, here we are, chatting likeold friends.

(04:21):
I would love for you to send meyour self-limiting belief and
the step you're taking toovercome it.
I'd love to feature yourbreakthrough story in a future
episode.
Your beliefs are lenses on acamera.
