Sha Sparks returns to the Shadows to discuss that voice inside our head. That voice can hurt us if we allow it to, but we need to realize that it can also empower us.
On this episode, Sha talks about how in life we all want to belong, be heard, not be alone, and to be loved. However, the road to get there can be a tumultuous one. Sha is a believer that our childhood experiences shape our adult decisions. She began drinking at the age of eleven, broke her knee, fell into depression and by the age of fifteen she was drinking every day. She even received a DUI at the age of sixteen. She then became trapped in an abusive relationship for years. It wasn’t until she came to the realization that we get to choose who we are and how we live our lives. This is where Sha began to understand that hurt people, hurt people and empowered people, empower people.
