Unknown (00:05):
Hey, everyone, welcome to Share Your Sparkle. I'm y
ur host, Dr. Darline Berrios. Tis is season two, Episode 11 m
ssages. Hi, everyone. I took lst week off. And I got in t
ouble. Even though I'm my own bss.

(00:25):
My brothers said I had to talkto HR. And I said, I am HR
maintenance boss, everythinghe's like no, you're.
So apparently I forgot to talkto HR
for permission, and I got introuble. But anyway, I took a
couple days.

(00:45):
It wasn't the end of the schoolyear for everybody. But for most
of those students I was workingwith, they were wrapping things
up. And I figured it was a goodtime for me to take a mini break
as well. From that, and fromthis, but I'm back. Happy
belated Father's Day for thoseof you who have human babies,

(01:08):
animal babies,or care for an individual in any
way in a fathering way. AndHappy belated summer solstice.
So I'm gonna talk about thesummer solstice for a little
bit, I believe, while I'mrecording where I am, it's
Sunday, right now, but you'regonna listen to this maybe
Tuesday or beyond?

(01:29):
June 20. marksat about maybe a little bit
after 10 or no close to 11.
Sorry. So maybe when I'm donewrapping up, it'll be some
resources, butthe first day of summer, which
might be slightly different thanwhere you are, as far as the

(01:53):
summer solstice. Solstice is

June 23 11 (01:57):
32pm. But depending on where you are, and where the
sun is crossing, or it appearsto be crossing on the right,
because we're the ones that areactually moving.
It's happening pretty soon. Andit's the point. It was the day
part of the day when the suntravels its longest path

(02:19):
through the sky and reaches itshighest point and for the
northern hemisphere that'shappening. For the summer,
southern hemisphere, theopposite is happening. Right. So
the summer solstice in thesouthern hemisphere, happens
around December 21or 22nd as we're experiencing
our winter solstice. And that'sbecause you know, we have this

(02:42):
20 half 23 and a half degreeaxis that are wonderful. Earth
spins on.
Okay. There are rituals aroundthe world that happen.
I didn't realize that for somethey were so marked with like
fertility in love. I didn'trealize that. I don't know why.

(03:06):
But the Mayans and Aztecs usethe summer and winter solstices
as markers to build structuresthat previously line up with
shadows created by the sun. SoI'm reading from a little
article he knew of USA today andmany Native American tribes
recognize their summer solsticewith a Sundance and

(03:28):
history calm notes that theancient Greeks use the solstice
as a one month countdown to thebeginning of the Olympic Games.
In Sweden, the solstice iscalled mid summer. So Mar and
celebrations Welcome to summeras a season of fertility
according to the SwedishInstitute.
And then we have Stonehenge, right the rock formation in

(03:49):
England that perfectly alignswith the sun's movement and both
the summer and winter solsticeis, although its origins and
reasons for its creation are notunderstood. stonehedge has
become one of the most popularplaces to observe the solstice.
So a little bit about that happysummer solstice. I hope everyone
has a joyful, fun and great summer. They were

(04:12):
talking about how you know, usually the summer temperatures
creep up a month after thesummer solstice. So like
typically July tends to be thewarmest month of LEDs, of course
you live in Texas, which you'realready like, dying in 110
degrees.

(04:33):
Well, I would be I think there'ssome people that actually like
it.
So that's that. Um,let me just tell you a little
bit about what I did last week.
I actually went away for a fewdays, got away from the puppy in
the parents and went to the capep town so if you've never been
Provincetown is at the tippitytip, tip tip of the cape and

(04:58):
it's veryI'm gay, right gay friendly,
obviously.
I love the flags everywhere. Andthe The atmosphere is very like
joyful and just like you buy thewater so you get that ocean air
and there's a commercial streetin Bradford you know, we just

(05:19):
basically cars can go down in,or I think Bradford goes both
ways butyou're just walking in the
street, you know visiting littleshops and it has that village II
kind of feel I stayed at anAirbnb, Airbnb with a host was
super nice. And his friendsstaying there was great.

(05:41):
So I could just put my backpackon and walk
what maybe seven minutes and be,you know, in the quote unquote,
hustle and bustle of town, andthen walk back and be in a quiet
neighborhood in here, the treeor the birds, you know, singing
away and I was really nice andoften the distance you saw the

(06:02):
pilgrim monument from hisrooftop deck. At night, it was
like it was just a beautifulscene, apparently, I guess one
movie last year.
A couple two women got marriedon that rooftop deck, and they
had the ark.
And one and and people werestanding in various spots, you

(06:23):
know, socially distance. Andthen often the background was
the monument and the friend wastelling me how it just looked
really beautiful. So I luckedout on a great place.
And beautiful weather. When Isay beautiful weather I'm
talking about like 72 strongsun, but because you're by the
water, you get this greatbreeze. So you're not like dying

(06:46):
of heat, where it actually feelsreally good. And each night, I
went to the beach race point, from about 6pm to sundown to a
little bit past 830 and saw twobeautiful sunsets.
I saw some seals, the seals werejust bobbing up and down and,

(07:07):
and swimming by the coastline.
And you know, I wrote in myjournal, put my feet in the sand
andclose my eyes, open my eyes and
took in the fresh air and it wasthe salt air and it was really
great. And I also went golfingby myself. I found my brother
and I actually were travelingaround a little bit before the
trip and I found this place inwellfleet. The played nine

(07:28):
holes, there was no one there. Imean, want to tell you that.
I mean, people were there. Butlike, the course was empty.
So I basically got the practice, and that was good. I hadn't gone
golfing by myself. You know, I'ma golfer now. Well, I'm not

(07:49):
really a golfer but it's likesomething to do. And it's
actually not that bad. I think Imade fun of people who liked
golf, I don't think I'd reallywatch it. But as far as like,
being outside and tryingsomething out, like it's
definitely something that I willprobably continue and took my
sister to play golf Friday, which was fun, beautiful

(08:12):
weather. Again, I feel like thisweek has been like, ideal ideal
weather like June summer here inNew England is really nice.
So that's what I was up to, andtrying to think, I hope that you
take some time to recharge, whether it's now or later
because it's it's important, youknow, it's something that you

(08:35):
need to do, we are not built togo 24 seven, we need to rest and
you have to allow yourself andgive yourself permission to to
breathe and rest. I mean, evenif you can't go anywhere, that's
the first time I actually Imean, besides that last fall, I
went to visit my cousin up inupstate New York, but this is

(08:57):
the first time I've gone like away and allowed myself to kind
of be out and about and not soclosed in from the world. So it
was it was good. It was good.
Umso message messages. I feel like
I get direct messages all thetime.

(09:20):
Sometimes they're easier to hearthan others.
But a funny one that I gotrecently was when I was in pizza
and walking through a parkinglot here I am eating my snack
because of course if you know meif you don't know me if you're
getting to know me I just havesnacks all the time so I'm like
eating my purple grapes, purplegrapes because I like them I

(09:40):
don't like the green oneshearing I'm eating my purple
grapes and then likeI didn't really choke but you
know you swallow weird and thenlike you start coughing and then
you can't stop the coughing.
Well, that's what happened. So Iput my orange backpack down
because of course I'm carryingmy orange bet pack which has all
my other snacks and tons ofwater and as
I like open up my backpack totake my water out because I'm

(10:02):
like, I can't stop coughing Ilook up until you're walking
through a parking lot. And thelicense plate literally said, I
save. And then the letter U andI was like, I took a picture of
it because it was hilarious. Isave you, and
things like that just make mesmile. I save you, as I'm, like,
choking on my grape spit, orwhatever. Grape juice.

(10:29):
And then some other messages Ihave to share with you. I
was recently you know,in the car, dropping someone off
and then turn the radio on. Andthere was a song I hadn't heard
before it came out September2020. It's called B. All right,

(10:49):
I definitely recommend youlooking it up. Evan Kraft
redeemed me to and Danny Gokey.
And while I don'tbelieve that God is a male or
even a person, I think you canfeel the message behind this is

(11:12):
very powerful. And I likehow there's a lot annex artists,
I looked up ridhima to he has avery interesting story. He's a
Dominican,like Christian rapper,
basically. And he was talking alittle bit about his childhood.
And when he was a teenager, andI don't know much about him, but

(11:36):
apparently he got into drugslike marijuana, cocaine, he said
he worked at a grocery store andwould just like, you know, pack
bags and get tips and whatevertips he had, he would use to buy
stuff or, you know, sell but notlike as a drug dealer, but just,
you know, participate in thatinteraction of sorts. And

(11:56):
at one point, he had thisexperience where he was
basically I don't know if he wasdetoxing, or if he had a bad
batch of drugs. But he was outflat from about six. He said pm
to about 1am. And there werepeople around him and he heard
people around him saying we needto bring him to the hospital, we

(12:18):
need to do something. But thennothing happened. And these are
his quote, unquote, friends.
And while that was happening, there was something else
happening inside of him. And hebasically said, how there was
the spiritual war happeningbetween a wolf and a lion. And
the lion camein made the wolf retreat, and

(12:40):
every time the wolf tried tocome at him, the line became
stronger, right and becamefierce. And eventually he came
out of it. And what came out ofit was a sort of almost like a
rebirth. That he felt like thatwas his. Well, you can he said
you couldn't see physically withyour eyes, this battle, that at

(13:04):
that moment, that led me to wasborn
spiritually and physically. Andhe raps and sings with these two
other American artists. It'scalled B. All right. Listen to
it if you get a chance.

(13:28):
Like the message. And I justfound out about Well, for me,
which is new artists, butapparently he's been around for
at least seems like maybe like adecade. Really, me too. Sounds
like an interesting characterand someone
to follow, who has a goodmessage for the world. So

(13:48):
check it out. That's my messageto you. I also came across, you
know, I have, I have differentthings that I pull to read from,
I'm not going to readReverend Deborah L. Johnson
today.
But I have this thing calledRumi, Oracle, a lot of your
child and their cards, butsometimes I just pick a card and

(14:10):
read the message. And today, Ipicked the whirling goddess
card, and it has a little 30 atthe bottom that I think the
images are beautiful. So justeven the not sure if they're
paintings, but the images or theillustrations are really
beautiful for each card. So letme read to you this message that

(14:31):
comes from the credit pick todaybecause we're talking about
messages.
lose your head, not a singlethread that has a head can go
through the eye of the needle.
Rumi come my love Are you dizzyyet? If you can still feel find
your feet then that is okay withme. But if you can still find
your head then I will takeissue. There was a great dance

(14:53):
but it cannot be danced withchoreograph steps no this great
dance demands.
response rather than aninitiation a reaction rather
than a direction. So let usdissemble and lose our heads to
the great music, the rhythm heldsteady in our beating hearts,
our feet shall be moving whilstour minds inadequate to the

(15:14):
task, take the night off, there is somewhere you are meant
to be. It is here. Now, in thismoment, there is a gift right
under your nose, and fragrantwine in your glass. gleaming red
is the most precious rubies tobe here. Now, you must pass
through the keyhole, but yourhead will tell you this is not

(15:38):
possible unless the door isunlocked. Even though your body
is passing through the keyholeof that locked door into the
endless world beyond leave yourmind to be in its struggles for
a moment. Without you layingwitness to it, your mind will
become like the dog howlingfirst masters return even as he
steps out the front door, frustrated temporarily he will
chew on some shoes and fallasleep peacefully until his

(16:02):
master returns. So leave yourmind trusting chewing a little
until you are truly through thekeyhole. When it can rest. Leave
it be instead, Come dance withme. This Oracle brings you a
message you're at the point ofgrowth where your mind can hold
you back. Rather than urge youforward. Something came to me

(16:22):
Sorry, I'm like digressing here.
But earlier in the week, Itexted my cousins multiple times
a day we're a little ridiculous.
And siblings and cousins. AndI thought they came was

(16:43):
sometimes we don't know thereason or there's there's not
always a reason. But there'salways a purpose.
It might seem like that doesn'tmake sense. Because you're like
if there's a purpose, and that'sthe reason. But reason to me has
to do with understanding. And aspeople like our minds cannot

(17:05):
possibly understand everything.
We can't we can't we just ourminds can't grasp like think
about the universe for example, our minds Do you understand the
universe, the fact that it'severything, the fact that it's
as far as we know, never endinglike can you grasp that there

(17:26):
are somethings that we can't reason but
there's a purpose.
To sometimes our minds need torest, like the fact that
sometimes our minds, we need tostop trying to reason things. So
I'm going to go back to themessages.

(17:46):
This Oracle brings your message, you are at the point of growth
where your mind can hold youback rather than urge you
forward. If you have like somany use your mind to support
you to share up your sense ofself in the world and to gain a
sense of certainty about how theworld works, then this is no
easy leap. It will seem asthough you are being asked to

(18:07):
pass through the keyhole. Ofcourse your mind will stop and
argue for all the reasons whythe door should be open instead
of remaining closed, making thetasks seem so much harder,
harder than it needs to be. Butthis is the mind in resistance.
Don't place too much stock inthe plains that life should be
other than it is you are beingasked to dance rather than

(18:28):
understand totally the thoughtsto rest and come alive. It is
the bravest most trusting soulthat dares put the mind on one
side and say tonight we dance,my heart and I in the great
rousing music of the beloved'sheartbeat or beating heart and I
will not miss one step and toawaken the next day and do that

(18:51):
all over again. And again. Andagain.
You are ready you see sweet souldancer you are ready to live
beyond what you know. To have itnot matter if you don't
understand how life can workitself out or how it could be
that someone so normal andordinary as you and I can be so
magnificent, wild and divide.

(19:14):
The need for answers and plansassurances and explanations is
passing out of your world now,you are not to wait for
permission for explanation oreven for another dance party for
I'm already inviting you on tothe great dance floor.
You want to let go of any stigmaaround not knowing when someone
asks you what you are going todo next or how you are going to

(19:36):
manage. You are given thisdivine mandate with relish
reveal in truth I don't know.
No nothing in dance sweet so forall will unveil itself to you in
perfect harmony and timing. Yourheart shall create the steps in

(19:57):
response to the music of thespheres happening now.
alive in spontaneous and free.
This Oracle brings you a specialmessage. If there's an issue,
apparently unsolvable orunknowable in your life, now the
divine is handling it, thedivine is in the middle of it,
working through the knot. Andunraveling it.

(20:19):
Fair enough, do the sacredritual and give yourself
permission to take the right thenight off from worry. Repeat
this heavenly prescription dailyas needed. And then it says this
sacred honoring ritual, ritualsorry, say aloud.
I give my heart permission tolead the stance. I give my mind
some time off.

(20:41):
No more worry or doubt planningor resisting. Instead, I
surrender. Instead I openinstead I allow. I allow I allow
and all unfolds with perfection.
divine timing, and the miracleof grace.

(21:01):
It says with Rumi but I wouldjust there insert whoever you
feel your divine is with Jesuswith God with goddesses,
whatever. As my with yourguardian angel as my sole
witness. So be it.
So that's, those are my messagesto you.

(21:25):
Happy summer people? Um, let'shave a good one.
There have been I mean, that's on recently, but
just the history of our life, right? We know that people pass
away whether they've been closeto you or not. And it's strange,

(21:47):
sometimes we don't know thefirst of something or we might
and sometimes we don't know thelast of something you only might
and when I mean like that, like,is this going to be my last
blah, blah, blah, you know, like, or my last breath that you
don't know.
So just enjoy, really shake.

(22:11):
Try to shake the worry ofwhatever's worrying you. That's
doesn't mean you stop caring.
But you realize what you cancontrol and what you can't
control.
We can't control everything. Youcan't actually don't want to

(22:32):
think about the universe. Do youwant to control the universe?
I don't think we don't evenunderstand the universe. So
anyway, have a good summer back.
I release any Tuesday or Fridayand next time I'll ask HR for
permission for some time off.
Andbe well until then, except your

(22:52):
sparkle, surrender to it andallow it to be so keep shining
