Are you a woman over 50 looking for your next reinvention in life? And maybe that reinvention won’t be your first, second, third or even your 10th?
If yes, I hope that this interview with Amy Freese from the Empty Nexter will show you that it’s OK to keep course correcting - and give you some invaluable tips for your own next reinvention.
When Amy was a new mom, she tried to be happy just with that, but soon realized that she wanted something more. So she started a women’s group, became a life coach, newspaper columnist, and then radio host.
Then at some point she realized she had burnt herself out trying to please other people, and so she decided to stop it all and start all over again.
So she took over her parent’s business, ran that for several years, and then decided to reinvent herself yet again.
And she’s still reinventing today!
So if you need some inspiration or permission that no matter where you are, it’s ok to make new decisions, try something new, and pivot again - Then keep watching!

Cardiac Cowboys
The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
