Ever found yourself stuck waiting for that perfect surge of motivation to build your business while watching others thrive? You're not alone. The shocking truth is that the women crushing it online aren't riding waves of constant inspiration—they've mastered something far more powerful!

This episode exposes the unreliable nature of motivation as the fair-weathered friend it truly is. Motivation feels great, but it's an emotion that comes and goes without warning. So how do you take action regardless of how you feel?

I share my personal journey from being motivation-dependent to making success non-negotiable, and how this fundamental shift transformed not only my business and life but the lives of many of the women I work with.

You'll discover three game-changing secrets that successful women use to stay consistent without relying on emotional fuel.

The most successful entrepreneurs aren't special or lucky—they've simply harnessed this non-negotiable tactic.

You don't want to miss this episode.

And DM me @fiercemomboss the word "fire" on Instagram for my Disciplined CEO guide and start building the discipline muscle that will set your business ablaze. You weren't meant to blend in; you were born to stand out and set this world on fire.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to the she's On Fire podcast.
So I want to ask you something.
I want you to think about thishow many times have you wanted
to build your business, but youjust didn't feel like it?
You wake up and you just didn'tfeel like it.
You were waiting for motivationto hit, but it just never came.

(00:21):
I want you to be honest.
You see other women crushing itonline, showing up, making
money, building their dream life, and you're over here thinking
like why can't I get myself todo the same thing?
What's wrong with me?
Here's the truth.
You don't need more motivation.

(00:43):
Motivation is all around us.
You can find it everywhere.
Okay, you can go on YouTube.
You can get motivational videos.
You can listen to the she's OnFire podcast.
You can read some of my emails.
Right, you need discipline, andtoday I'm going to show you
exactly how to make disciplineyour non-negotiable weapon for

(01:08):
success.
So if you've been stuck waitingfor that perfect moment, that
magical surge of energy tofinally go all in, then I want
you to buckle up, because we'regoing to set your business on
fire.
So let me tell you a littlestory.

(01:30):
When I first started my business, I was so pumped.
I had this big dream.
I was so excited I was ready totake on the world.
Did you ever feel like that?
Did you feel like that in thebeginning?
Well then things started to setin.
I'd wake up and not feel likeworking.

(01:53):
I'd get nervous about postingonline.
I'd tell myself, I'm going todo this tomorrow.
I'm going to do that tomorrow.
I'm going to do that tomorrow,I'm going to do this other thing
tomorrow.
But guess what?
Tomorrow never came.
I mean, it did, but not in theway I needed it to.

(02:13):
I'd scroll on social media.
I'd see women making money, getting clients, building brands
, and I was stuck waiting tofeel ready.
One day I realized something.
I was reading a book aboutmotivation, actually, but

(02:36):
something stuck out to me and Irealized motivation is an
emotion and emotions areunreliable.
Discipline, on the other hand,is a decision, and the women who
win.
They don't wait till they feellike it.

(03:00):
They don't wait till they feellike it to take action.
They do it anyway.
And that's really wheneverything changed for me.
I stopped making successoptional.
I made it non-negotiable, andtoday I'm going to give you

(03:23):
three things, three secrets, ifyou will, that will really flip
the switch in your brain andturn you into a woman who
doesn't need motivation becauseshe's a freaking force.
Motivation is great, listeningto motivational speakers is
great.
I'm not saying you should everdo that.

(03:45):
It's not a bad thing but you'regoing to have to understand
that discipline is the decisionthat you need to make.
So the first thing I want you toknow is motivation is a liar,
all right, motivation is likeyour fair weathered friend it

(04:07):
shows up when it feels like itand it disappears the minute
things get difficult.
So I want you to think aboutthis what if you only showed up
for your kids?
You only showed up for yourkids, your relationships,
whatever when you felt like it,right.

(04:28):
What if you only did it whenyou felt like it?
We'd never be showing up,because really do I want to get
up in the middle of the nightBecause I hear my daughter
yelling mama, no Right, I'm notgoing to tell her, go back to
bed, you know.
So what if you only showed upwhen you felt like it for your

(04:53):
kids, for your relationships, for your dreams?
Successful women don't rely onemotions to get things done, and
I have really learned this alot, especially in the last year
.
They wake up and they make ithappen, no matter what, no

(05:14):
excuses.
So here's what I want you to doInstead of asking, instead of
allowing your brain to say, do Ifeel like doing this today?
I want you to start asking whatwould the successful version of

(05:39):
me do right now?
Then do that, whatever that is.
What would the successfulversion of me do right now when
you say, oh, I don't feel likeposting right now, it's your
time to sit down and do yourcontent.

(06:02):
I don't feel like posting rightnow, I don't feel like writing
emails right now.
That's the feeling.
But what would the successfulversion of you do right in that
moment?
Answer that question and thendo that.

(06:24):
Secret two make success anon-negotiable.
Most women treat success likeit's a nice to have thing.
Most women okay, the majorityof women are not out there
crushing it.
I hate to say it, but it's true.
Most women treat success like anice-to-have instead of a must.

(06:57):
When you make successnon-negotiable, you don't give
yourself an out.
You don't let yourself slackoff.
You act like your business isalready successful and you have
to show up accordingly for it.
You don't let the excuses comein.

(07:18):
You don't let the things takeover your life come in.
You don't let the things takeover your life.
I always talk about this becauseit's a really important analogy
is what would the CEO say ofDisney?

(07:41):
Do the CEO say of Disney, do Ireally want you to think about
this, that successful person, what would they do?
You can't say, well, they'realready successful, so they have
to do it.
No, that's not true.

(08:03):
You have to act like yourbusiness is already successful
and you have to show upaccordingly for it.
So I want you to set threenon-negotiables for your
business every single day, whether it's posting, networking
, selling, selling is reallyimportant.

(08:26):
I see so many women out therewho are just posting content,
posting content, and they'renever selling.
Set three non-negotiables thatmove the needle and then no
excuses, zero excuses.
You have to do them, no matterwhat.

(08:46):
Now will there be things thatcome up, absolutely.
I know this.
You know firsthand my daughter.
All of a sudden she had, youknow, when she was a baby, she
had a stroke.
People know this, this story.
She still has residual effectsfrom it.
Things come up, but what I havelearned in the last year and

(09:07):
really in the last six months, make things non-negotiable.
Yes, things are going to happen, but I still have to do these
things.
This is how somebody becomessuccessful.

(09:28):
Number three discipline is amuscle.
You have to train it everysingle day.
The women who succeed aren'tspecial over you I'm not going
to say they're not special, because I believe that every
woman's special and has specialtalents and has something to

(09:49):
offer this world to make animpact but they're not.
They're not special over youand they're not lucky.
They have more reps in thediscipline gym because
discipline is a muscle.
You have to train it, you haveto work it.

(10:11):
You don't wake up one daydisciplined Okay, that's not how
it works.
You train yourself to bedisciplined.
When I was in the military, inboot camp, we were trained to be
disciplined.
99% of us that showed up on thefirst few days, let me tell you

(10:35):
, we were worse than hot messes.
I'm one of them and I was olderthan most of all the other
girls because I went in at 23.
Most of them were 17 and 18years old.
I think there was one womanolder than me I'm talking about
in my unit, one woman older wecalled it ships, though in the
navy one woman in mine who was34 and we called her grandma.

(10:59):
Looking back, I find ithilarious because now that I'm
50, I'm like, oh my gosh, wecalled this poor woman grandma
and she was only 34 anyways.
We didn't show up theredisciplined and ready to go and
knew everything and was like I'mgetting up at three o'clock in
the morning, no problem.
No, we were trained to bedisciplined and you can train

(11:23):
yourself to be disciplinedyourself.
Okay, it is a muscle.
You have to do it, and the moreyou do it, the better you're
going to become at it.
And and I will tell you this, the more you do it, the better
you become at it, the more itbecomes something that you want

(11:43):
to do.
You become obsessed with itbecause you start seeing the
needle moving.
You don't need motivation, youdon't need a motivational speech
to make money.
Okay, you don't feel confident.

(12:04):
You build confidence throughaction, just like discipline,
training yourself to bedisciplined.
You don't become successfulovernight.
You show up consistently untilsuccess has no choice but to
chase you down.
This is so important.

(12:28):
This is so important.
So pick one thing you will dodaily, even when you don't feel
like it no exceptions, nonegotiations, that's it.
If you do these things thatI've just given you, you are

(12:53):
going to see far more success, far sooner than if you just keep
listening to Tony Robbins orJen Gaines to give you some
motivation.
You have to start withdiscipline.
That is how you're going to beunbelievably successful.

(13:15):
This is your wake-up call.
You don't need motivation, youneed decisions.
You don't need a sign sayingyou know today's the day, this
year's the year.
You don't need some sign, magical sign or anything like
that, even though I love magic, believe in magic, love mindset

(13:35):
and all that kind of stuff.
You don't need a sign, you needdiscipline.
You don't need permission.
You need to own your futureright now.
If you really want to ditch theexcuses and really build

(13:57):
unshakable confidence and showup like a boss, then I want you
to go on Instagram and DM me theword fire right now, and I'm
going to send you my disciplinedCEO mindset.
You can stop waiting and startwinning.
Right, freaking now.

(14:17):
You're not here to blend in.
You're not here to be ordinary.
You're here to stand out.
You're here to be extraordinary.
You're here to set this world.
You're here to be extraordinary.
You're here to set this worldon fire.
So let's freaking go.
I'll talk to you later.

(14:37):
Bye.
