Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, welcome back to the she's on Fire
podcast.
Today we're talking aboutreally empowering your business
journey and asking yourself theright questions so you can
overcome fear and impostersyndrome.
As a business coach as abusiness empowerment coach I've

(00:21):
witnessed firsthand how fear andimposter syndrome can really
paralyze even the most talentedentrepreneurs.
These feelings of self-doubt,inadequacy can really creep in
at all levels, no matter howhigh up you are.
People have talked to me aboutthis.

(00:43):
I've read stories about it andit's actually so fascinating,
All right, it can really hinderprogress and stifle people's
growth.
Now, the difference between aperson that lets these things
hold them back and the personthat pushes through and gets to

(01:06):
that next level really lies inreframing the mindset.
Okay, so if I told you that thekey to overcoming these
challenges lies in askingyourself just the right
questions, would you believethat?
Yourself just the rightquestions, would you believe

(01:28):
that?
Would you believe it?
I've seen it so many times.
All right, when faced with fearand imposter syndrome, our minds
often default to the reallyshitty questions.
Right?
These are the questions thatfuel our doubts and reinforce
our insecurities, so they soundlike something like what if I

(01:49):
fail?
Am I good enough?
Will people listen to me?
What will people think of me?
Why would anybody listen to me?
You know, why can I not be likeher?
Right?
While these questions may seemnatural, they only magnify our

(02:09):
fears.
So, in order to empoweryourself and really move forward
, it's essential to shift yourfocus and ask the right
questions instead.
These are the questions thatare going to challenge your
negative assumptions and helpinstead for you to see your true

(02:30):
potential and, in turn, shiftyour mind, shift your regular
thought patterns.
So, when a question comes upthat is negative, disempowering,
up that is negative, disempowering let's change the

(02:50):
question instead with a two andmore empowering one.
So, for example, instead ofwhat if I fail?
Ask yourself the question assoon as that starts to come into
your mind.
Instead, ask yourself no, whatif I succeed?
What if I succeed?
It changes that thought patternreally quickly and makes you
start thinking what if I succeed?

(03:12):
What are the things that aregoing to happen if I succeed?
Instead of dwelling on thepossibility of failure, focus on
the potential for success.
Visualize what your successlooks like, Visualize how it
feels, Visualize the way itsmells.
What are you going to do ifyou're successful?

(03:33):
This shift in perspective canignite your motivation, your
drive and really get you out ofstuck.
Instead of who would listen tome anyways, ask yourself all

(03:59):
right, what skills and strengthscan I bring to the table?
And we all have them.
We all have our unique talentsand abilities.
Recognize your talents,Recognize your abilities.
Reflect on past achievements.
Reflect on the things thatpeople say you helped them with
when people praise you.

(04:20):
Reflect on that.
This will reinforce yourself-worth and remind you of
your capabilities.
Think of the things that you'regood at.
What is it?
What skills and strengths do Ibring to the table?
It's a simple question, just toshift that thought pattern

(04:43):
really quickly.
Instead of who would listen tome, ask instead who can I help
with my expertise?
Who can I help with myexpertise?
That shifts it to looking forthat person.

(05:03):
Shifting the focus from yourselfto your potential impact on
others can really diminishself-doubt.
Think about the people who willbenefit from your knowledge and
services.
Think about the people who willbenefit from your knowledge and
services.
This can really provide a senseof purpose.

(05:24):
It can really motivate you whenyou stop putting that burden on
yourself and you start shiftingit to see who you can impact.
Ask yourself the question whynot me?
Why not you?
Embrace challenges.

(05:45):
We're all going to havechallenges in our lives, in our
businesses.
Embrace those challenges asopportunities for growth and ask
yourself why not you?
Whenever something comes up,when you see somebody else doing
something you wanna do, well, why not me?
There's no reason.

(06:09):
She can do it, I can do it, shecan do it, I can do it.
Why not me?
Because if you look out there, there's a lot of stories where
people came from nothing tosomething, where people came
from no confidence to beingextremely confident.

(06:29):
Why not me?
And I want you to ask yourselfhow can I celebrate small wins
along the way?
People forget this.
The small things really matter.
Acknowledge and celebrate yourprogress, no matter how small it

(06:51):
is, Because when you recognizeyour achievements, it's going to
boost your confidence and it'sgoing to reinforce having a
positive mindset.
And finally, I want you to askyourself what if I'm wrong?
All the time when a negativequestion arises, what if I'm

(07:11):
wrong?
Instead of what if nobodylistens to me, Ask yourself well
, what if I'm wrong?
What if I'm wrong?
Yes, journaling and affirmationsand having support is extremely
important, especially in thesupport department, but in the

(07:35):
moment, you can change yourthoughts by simply asking
yourself a more empoweringquestion instead.
You don't have to go andjournal for five hours.
Change your thought pattern inthe moment.
That's what real mindset workis.
It's in the moment.
That's where the shit happens.

(07:58):
It takes practice.
The moment that's where theshit happened.
It takes practice.
Yes, but we want to interruptthe negative thought patterns,
to start shifting our minds.
And remember overcoming fearand imposter syndrome.
It's not about eliminatingthese feelings entirely.
You'll still have them atpoints in your business, in your

(08:22):
life.
You'll have them at every level.
I hear this all the time.
But instead, learning tonavigate them effectively and
knowing how to radically shiftthem is the key.
That's the difference betweensomebody being stuck forever and

(08:48):
somebody being super successfulbecause they know and have
learned how to radically shiftthese patterns.
It's the key to success.
So by asking yourself the rightquestions, you can really shift
your perspective, build yourconfidence and empower yourself

(09:12):
to really move forward andachieve the goals that you
really want.
But you've got to embrace theprocess.
You've got to take the time todo it.
You've got to step back whenyou're in the moment and do
these things.
