Lawyer-turned-entrepreneur Sahar Hashemi has used her deep knowledge of both, the corporate and start-up worlds to become an internationally recognised thought leader on the entrepreneurial mindset. As the founder of two disruptive businesses and the author of a bestselling book on entrepreneurship, she understands entrepreneurial behavior to the core. She also understands corporate behaviour, she also corporate behaviour, having evolved frmo her early corporate law career to witnessing the trnasformation of culture as her start-up grew into a large company. Over the last decade, she spoken to over 400 large organizations. This unique combination of personal experience in both worlds gives her a deep perspective.

Sahar is currently the force behind Buy Women Built, an incredible fast growing movement to fill the 250bn British pound gap in female entrepreneurship in the UK, bringing consumer recognition to women-built brands. With the idea back during the Covid lockdown, this movement has grown to over 2,000 brands with a combined turnover of 2.5bn British pounds.

Sahar was listed in the Maserati 100, a definitive list of Britain's most successful philanthropists, mentors, and advisors. In June 2012, she was awarded an OBE for services to the UK economy and charity. She has been named a "Pioneer to the Life of the Nation" by Her Majesty The Queen and was recognised Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Sahar left her legal career at a top London law firm after five years to start Coffee Republic, the UK's first US-style coffee bar chain with her brother Bobby. In five years, they built into one of UK's most recognized high street brands.

Sahar is a bestselling author of "Anyone Can Do It", a book demystifying the idea that entrepreneurship is an innate personality trait. Her latest book, "Start Up Forever: How To Build A Start-Up Culture in a Big Comapny", was released in March  2019 and was named The Financial Times Best Business Book of the month.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
