In the United States, fetal abduction accounted for 6% of the recorded 302 cases of infant abduction between 1983 and 2015. This phenomenon is so rare that most people would never expect it to happen to them. At the age of 18, Angelique Cruz was only weeks shy of delivering her baby boy when a friend made an attempt at stealing him.
