Let's do a brief
history lesson. Slavery is bad.
It never helped, healed and onlyhurts. During this time and
culture though it was big.
people buying people, usuallyforeigners to do their housework
and more. Joseph was one ofthem.

Narrator (01:51):
This man was Potiphar.
No not pot of furs or pottyturds. Pot-if-for. Wow! The
Bible has some different andweird names. Sometimes. It's
because the culture where thestory takes place mainly.
Anyway, he was an importantperson. He was one of the
pharaohs officials and thecaptain of the guard. He most
likely had a big house andneeded someone to help keep it
(02:14):
going. That's why he purchasedJoseph as a house slave. Again,
slavery is bad. You'll find outlater that God uses this bad to
save a lot of people. All right.
Enough with the spoilers. Josephwas taken to part of his house
and began working. The Biblementions that Joseph did a great
(02:35):
job. His boss never had to worryand was highly impressed.
Potiphar (02:42):
Joseph, I am
impressed. When I leave. I don't
have to worry. You are topnotch. The superstar of this
house.
Narrator (02:53):
Things went well in
the house until they were not.
Potiphar's wife lied aboutJoseph and Potiphar became so
angry he threw Joseph in jail
Potiphar (03:03):
Joseph, I'm ashamed. I
believed in you. Guards! Take
Joseph and throw him intoprison.
Narrator (03:13):
Joseph spent a long
time in jail. You might think
that God left him maybe heforgot about Joseph, you'd be
wrong. The Bible mentions thatGod was with him the entire
time. He was with Joseph whenhis brothers sold him. God was
with him at Potiphar's house andnow is with him in jail. He
worked hard and rose in theranks and was trusted to run the
(03:34):
prison. Say what now? A prisonerrunning the jail. What is
happening? This has to be Godbecause that is impossible.
The chief jailer, like Potiphartrusted Joseph, anything that
Joseph did, God may prosper. Iwonder what that meant. It's
like they tried several times tobake pizza but kept burning it.
(03:58):
Then Joseph made it perfectlyand the taste was out of this
world. Or maybe the toilet wasleaking for years. Then Joseph
stepped in and fix the leak.
Maybe there was a hungry kitten.
And Joseph had compassion, setfood out and protected it. Maybe
even the mystery of the dirtydishes were solved. What
(04:22):
happened? Simple, Joseph cleanedthem. Whatever it was, God was
with Joseph.
Time passed and two people werethrown in jail for offending the
Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. TheBible doesn't mention their
names rather, what they did forthe Pharaoh a cupbearer and
baker. A cupbearer, not a cupbear or a cup dog, a cupbearer
(04:48):
in the Bible was a person in ahigh position who served the
king, his food and drink. Theywere required to taste his food
and drink to make sure it wasn'tpoisoned. They had to be
trusted. A baker is someone whomade the food. Well one night,
these two people had some prettyweird dreams. Joseph heard and
(05:12):
asked them to share. To becontinued.
Trust me these questions aresolid. Question one. What is
something you believe is old?
Give some examples. You're goingto have fun with that one., Two

place? Tune in next week, as wehear with the prisoners told
