Joseph gets an audience with the King of Egypt, becomes second in command over all of Egypt but family shows up.  What will happen? This is series conclusion of how God used Joseph to exercise HIS rescuing POWER!

Narrator (00:05):
Welcome back listeners. This is Joseph part
four - the epic conclusion. Tocatch up Joseph when he was a
young boy had visions of hisfamily bowing down. His brothers
didn't like it. They threw himinto the well and then decided
to sell him into slavery. Thenwhen he was sold into slavery,

(00:30):
God was with Joseph. Amazing. Heled a whole household. Then when
Potiphar believed a lie, hethrew Joseph in jail. But don't
worry, God was still withJoseph. He ended up running the
jail. That takes trust. Thattakes God's hand. It's amazing.

(00:51):
Well, while Joseph was there,the Pharaoh got mad. And through
his cupbearer and Baker into thejail. While in jail, they had
these crazy dreams. Josephinterpreted them, and they came
true. Two years later, fairreleased Joseph to interpret his
dreams. He was so amazed at hisinterpretation of God been with

him this whole time. He gaveJoseph the second in command.
Only highest was the Pharaohhimself. Strap it for the epic
conclusion of JosephJoseph heard the dreams of
Pharaoh. One involve cows, theother green. Cows go moo. Beef

(01:36):
is what's for dinner. But not inthis case. The Pharaoh had two
dreams. One dream had seven fatcows and then seven skinny cows
appeared eating the seven fatcows. Wow. Those cows must have
been hungry. The next dream thePharaoh involves seven plump
heads of grain. Then seven moreheads of grain appeared, but

they were withered, rotten andjust plain gross.

Pharoah (02:04):
What are these mean Joseph?

Joseph (02:06):
Oh, great king of Egypt.
Only God can interpret dreams.
Your dreams mean that Egypt wasseven years of plenty in the
fields. And the next seven yearsthere will be a famine across
the land.

Narrator (02:17):
What is a famine? A famine is simply a lack of food.
So in those seven years offamine Joseph mentioned there
wouldn't be any corn we arecrops grown. There weren't
microwaves to heat up foodquickly or any drive throughs to
grab chicken either.

Joseph (02:32):
wise king of Egypt. All what God has shown you in your
dreams will come true. I suggestthat you find one to lead this
charge and stock up during theseven years of plenty to prepare
for the seven years of famineacross the land.

Pharoah (02:47):
I believe I have found such a wise leader Joseph. The
leader is you. You show me thatyour God is with you and your
ideals are amazing. Like Tomshell Folsom. You will lead
Egypt through these years. Noone will be higher than you and

(03:08):
authority and power except me,the king of all Egypt. I give
you complete power and authorityto do what you must do. To
prepare Egypt to survive andthrive baby. Go. You have my
blessing.

Narrator (03:24):
Joseph went out inspecting the entire land of
Egypt. Mapping to our storehouses would be and more

Joseph (03:31):
let's go out into the community and see who is growing
crops. What they are growing andhow much.

Narrator (03:37):
through the first seven years of plenty. All of
Egypt's crops prospered. TheBible mentions that after the
seven outstanding years of foodcame the seven years of famine.
People came from across the landto get food from Joseph

Joseph (03:55):
Your land has no food we have come on over to Egypt and
fill your bellies!

Narrator (04:06):
Joseph was like a human vending machine. Put some
quarters in and now pops yourgrain, corn and more. One of
these groups of people are noneother than his brothers.
Remember those guys? Cue thetape

Israelites (04:27):
you are crazy bro, never gonna happen. Joseph is
coming, let us throw him intothis pit!

Narrator (04:39):
yeah, those guys. They ran out of food too. And the
closest to get food was to seeJoseph home their father thought
dead. And they thought a slave.
Oh wow. This is going to be afamily reunion to remember. If I
was Joseph and I saw mybrothers, I would pay them back
for what they did to me. Oh boy,I can't wait.

Joseph (05:01):
Actually Narrator guy. I have forgiven my brothers and
believe that what they meant forbad God meant for good on this
them and can't wait to see them.
However, when I first see them,I'm not going to tell them that
it's me.

Narrator (05:13):
Well, I was wrong.
Hey, kids, have you ever beenwrong? We all make mistakes, but
it's when we choose to learn andgrow that makes a difference.
Joseph brothers still lived inlane of Canaan. It wasn't like
they were going down the streetto the grocery store. To give an
understanding of the distancethey traveled to get food. You
would have to drive 10 hoursnonstop. And that was just going

(05:34):
one way, traveling about 470miles. Obviously they didn't
have cars or buses back then.
And most likely had to walk toEgypt. It would take
approximately 14 days. That'stwo weeks of travel one way as a
lot of walking to get food. Wow.
I bet they wish they couldDoorDash or GrubHub that grain.

(05:58):
The brothers came and Josephtested them to see if they were
still the brothers from hischildhood. Or like Joseph if
they had changed to.

Joseph (06:11):
I'm going to see where their heart is and test them.

Narrator (06:15):
When his brothers arrived in Egypt, they went to
Joseph the top governor in theland and they bow down to him.
Well look at that. Remember whenJoseph was younger and had
dreams of his brothers bowingdown to him. They said it would
never happen. Well, it happened.
Joseph accused them of beingspies and threw them all
imprisoned. On the third dayJoseph released all but one

(06:38):
brother.

Joseph (06:42):
I'm a God fearing man. I will let you go. But one must
stay behind. When you return.
must bring your youngestbrother. Only then will I
believe you are not spies.

Narrator (06:54):
Joseph gave all the grain they needed and even
ordered all the money they paidreturned to them. They returned
home and fear and didn't want togo back to Egypt. However time
went on and they ran out ofgrain again. They had to bring
their youngest brother Benjaminback or else they brought him
with them this time and wentbefore Joseph bowing down again.

(07:15):
He released the other brotherfrom prison and did one final
trick. Sneaking a cup inBenjamin sack of grain causing
them to return immediately toEgypt. When they arrived Joseph
who they still didn't know whowas their brother told them he
would take Joseph from them aspunishment.

Israelites (07:33):
Sir, please don't take our brother. moment ago we
made a mistake and lost abrother it hurt our father
realized that we should neverhave done what we did. We can't
take losing another brotheragain.

Narrator (07:48):
With their brother's reaction. Joseph knew at that
moment that their hearts hadchanged.

Joseph (07:52):
I can't hold it back anymore. I'm Joseph your
brother. Go get our father andcome live here with me. You'll
be taken care of. We'll betogether again.

Narrator (08:03):
