Welcome back. The next few weeks, we're gonna be taking
you on a journey of Moses.
Trusting God. It's a three partseries. Today is part one, so
get ready. This is short withSchertz, where we share a quick

Let's rewind for a quick historylesson.
Joseph was sold into slavery byhis brothers and rose to become

Pharaoh, and with God's help,Joseph led the Egyptian people
through a seven year famine. ThePharaoh was so pleased that he
allowed Joseph's family to moveto Egypt with him. But more on
that and another story. Let'sfast forward to our story for
today. Years later, Joseph wasgone and a new pharaoh was on

Pharoah (01:15):

crocks as pets. I can afford asweet jet. I got four packs by

What do you want to do with theIsraelites?

Pharoah (01:36):
They be having too many kids. If they keep having them,
we will be overrun and they mayattack us. Take care of them.
Throw all baby boys into theNile.

Guards (01:50):
We try but when we get there we see no babies.

Narrator (01:54):
In fact, God had protected the Israelites he had
a plan. Meanwhile and LowerEgypt near the Mediterranean
Sea. A mother named Jacque Abedsecretly gave birth to a boy.
For months she hid him from thePharaoh and his thugs. Until she
couldn't anymore. He had growntoo big to hide. Jakob Ed loved
her baby boy and wanted him tolive. She built a basket to

float him in the reeds of theNile River. Her goal was at the
basket would float him away tosafety. It was a big risk,
hungry crocodiles carnivoroushippos and dangerous river
rabbits. Floating the basketamongst the reeds was a wise
strategy to keep her baby safe.

protection.

Moses (03:11):
This palace is huge. I know all the best hiding spots.
No one will be me in the game ofhide and seek.

Narrator (03:22):
Life was good. He didn't have to be worried about
anything. He probably drink froma fountain of chocolate milk
every day. As Prince of Egypt Hemost likely had servants to

Moses (03:33):
Hey servant can you please give me my favorite
snack? If you need reminded it'ssweet for tear.

Narrator (03:41):
As Moses grew, he began to learn that he wasn't
Egyptian like his adoptedparents. But an Israelite years
later upon visiting theIsraelites, he witnessed a guard
beating an Israelite slave heflared with anger. Stab it, you
don't have to beat him to beginto fight. It ended with Moses

(04:02):
killing the guard and hiding himin the sand believing no one saw
he was wrong though. TheIsraelites so word got back to
the Pharaoh.

Pharoah (04:13):
He did what? Moses is causing me too much money. Get
rid of him.

Narrator (04:22):
Moses invaded the guards and had to flee from
Egypt, running away from theonly home he had ever known.
From the people he sought lovedhim successfully escaping. Moses
went towards the land of Midian.
He was now a fugitive. Wow, thisis the end of part one. We will
continue next week.
