This episode is about DVTs (deep vein clots), and PEs (pulmonary emboli- clots in the arteries of the lungs). These deadly clots are something that hospitalists encounter on practically a daily basis. In this episode, we why these clots happen; how they're diagnosed; how we treat them; and what you should look look out for if you are diagnosed with one of these. We also talk about things you can do to reduce your risk of catching one. As always, we share a few of our experiences when we've encountered these.
