One day two little
kids named Ashlyn and William

Now they love animals.
They have some fun little catsand, even more importantly, they
have nine ducks Now.
When they went outside today, they were very excited because
they were going out to feed theducks.
All right, said Ashlyn, this isgoing to be so much fun.
Yeah, said William, I lovefeeding the ducks.
(00:31):
But as they got down towards theduck pen they realised where
are the ducks.
They went inside and theycouldn't see any of the ducks
anywhere.
What's going on, said William.
I don't know, said Ashlyn, keepchecking.
They started to look in all thedifferent areas.
They lifted up some hay in thecorner, they looked behind the
(00:52):
little duck house, but theycouldn't find any of the ducks
anywhere.
Oh, no, said Ashlyn, maybemaybe they've got out.
Yes, said William, maybe maybethey've gone away.
Just then, as they were talkingto each other, they could hear a
noise from up in the sky thatsounds like the ducks, said
(01:13):
Ashlyn.
Yes, said William.
Quick, where are they?
They looked up into the air andthere in a big circle, were all
their ducks flying around andaround in a circle.
What do you think they're doing?
Said Ashlyn.
I don't know, said William, let's wait and see.
As the ducks continued tocircle, they slowly got lower
and lower and lower, until theylanded around William and Ashlyn
(01:39):
in a big circle.
Um, this is really strange, saidWilliam.
What's going on?
Um, you're not meant to be here.
Did that duck just talk?
Said William, I think it did.
Said William, what's going on?
Um, you're not meant to be here.
Did that duck just talk?
Said William, I think it did.
Said Ashlyn.
Oops, said the duck.
I mean whack, whack, whack,whack.
We heard you.
Said William.
Um, no, you didn't.
(01:59):
Whack, whack, whack, whack,whack, whack.
Yes, we did.
Said Ashlyn, you were talkingand you were all flying in some
kind of strange little circle.
You were talking and you wereall flying in some kind of
strange little circle.
Yes, we were, because we arevery, very, very special ducks.
Well, you must be very specialducks, said William.
Not all ducks can talk.
Yes, they can.
They just choose not to.
What, said the kids?
(02:21):
Don't tell anyone, we won't.
But why were you flying in acircle?
Well, it's probably easier toshow you than to tell you what
said the kids.
Show us, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack.
Said all the other ducks, as ifthey were laughing.
Um, how are you going to showus?
Said William.
Um, feathers, ladies andgentlemen.
(02:45):
Each one of the ducks pulled outa few feathers each.
Hold still, said the duck.
And he started poking thefeathers into William and Ashlyn
.
Oh ow, that tickles, said thekids.
Hold still, said the duck.
As the kids held still, theyjammed in more and more feathers
.
It didn't hurt, it was veryticklish and felt very strange,
until the kids looked at theirarms.
We've got feathers on our armsNow flap, said one of the ducks.
(03:08):
Feathers on our arms Now flap, said one of the ducks.
Ashlyn flapped herfeather-covered arms.
Whoa, I'm in the air, really, said William.
Let me try.
He started flapping as well.
In no time at all, the kidswere both in the air.
Whoa, how do you control this?
Said William as he startedwobbling sideways.
Move your tail feathers, saidone of the ducks.
I don't have tail feathers, said William, wobbling from side
(03:30):
to side.
One of the ducks quickly flewover and poked a few feathers in
his back.
Whoa, that's better, saidWilliam.
What about me?
Said Ashlyn, who was flippingaround and around in circles as
she flew.
Somebody help her, said one ofthe ducks.
They flew over and put somefeathers in her back as well.
Whoa, thank you.
She said we like flying and itis fun, and now you're going to
(03:53):
join us in the flappy circle.
The flappy circle Just copy us,said the ducks.
Do we have to make those noisestoo?
Said Ashlyn Definitely.
And so Ashlyn and William madethe noises as well.
They said, and as the ducks allsang together, they started to
fly.
And then they started to fly inthe circle shape that the kids
(04:15):
had seen earlier.
The kids joined in and as theyflew in the circle, something
strange began to happen.
We're getting faster, saidAshlyn.
We are, said William, and Ifeel like I'm not even trying
anymore.
Exactly, said William, and Ifeel like I'm not even trying
anymore.
Exactly, said the duck, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack,
quack, quack.
The kids joined in Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack,
quack, and the circle got fasterand faster and faster.
(04:37):
What's this actually doing, said Ashlyn, as they went around
and around and around.
Wait until we stop Quack.
Very strange, what is going on?
(04:58):
They said Try and fly now, saidone of the ducks.
Okay, said Ashlyn, I'll headthat way.
Where did she go?
Said William.
She's got super duck speed nowWatch.
The ducks started flying allover the sky with super duper
speed.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
William joined in as well.
This is amazing.
He said Where's Ashlyn?
(05:20):
They were flying in differentdirections so fast they would
fly past each other, but theycouldn't slow down enough to be
able to talk.
Whoa, whoa, said one of theducks.
The kids thought this washilarious, as they continued to
fly past each other at top speed.
I wonder what happens if I goup, said Ashlyn.
She aimed her body upwards andflapped her wings.
(05:42):
Whoa, said William.
Where did she go?
I think she went up.
Ah, I'm going to go up too, said William.
He aimed his body upwards.
Both of them were gone.
Let's catch them.
Duckies, said one of the ducks.
All the ducks pointed theirbills directly upwards and
flapped their wings.
By the time they all got up tothe maximum height that they
(06:06):
possibly could.
They were up amongst the clouds.
This is incredible, said Ashlyn.
Yes, said William.
I've never been this highbefore.
It's amazing.
Clouds feel so fluffy and fun.
Do you like having super duckspeed, said one of the ducks.
We do.
They said we're so glad, butthere's one more trick that we
(06:28):
need to show you.
One more trick, what is it?
You're gonna need more feathers.
Whack, whack duckies.
They need more feathers.
Whack, whack, whack, whack,whack.
All the ducks started to circlethe kids and poked in more and
more and more feathers.
They spared as many feathers asthey could until Ashlyn and
William were completely feathercovered.
This is very funny looking, said William as he looked across
(06:50):
at his sister.
Yes, said Ashlyn, we'recompletely feathery.
They were looking at themselves.
Now, careful, don't flap yourwings yet.
Okay, they said.
Now it is very important thatyou aim the exact right
direction.
Um, okay, let me line you up.
So a couple of the ducks helpedAshlyn aim one way and helped
(07:11):
William aim the other way.
Is it perfect?
I think so.
Hang on, check it.
Yep, yep, they're ready.
Okay, is everybody ready?
What do we do, said the kids.
Well, you stay perfectly still, and when I say flap, you flap.
Okay, they said Duckies, let'sdo it.
The ducks started to swirlaround the kids.
(07:32):
Some were going around one way, some were going around another
way.
Some were going around and overthe top of the kids' heads they
made some kind of duck ballaround the kids as they flew
around.
It was amazing.
It was like a whole bunch ofmoons orbiting a planet.
All right, I think we're almostat maximum power.
Is everybody ready?
Whack, whack, whack, said theducks.
(07:53):
When I say flap kids, you flapReady.
One, two, three, all the ducksdropped out of the way.
Flap, yelled the duck, and thekids flapped their arms as they
did.
They took off so quickly.
It was incredible.
They couldn't believe what washappening.
First they blasted across theentire country and went all the
(08:18):
way over the ocean.
They flew over all othercountries, right the way around
the entire world until theylanded back with all the ducks.
What just happened?
Said William.
That was so fast.
Said Ashlyn, that is a duckorbit of the world.
I got to see everything, saidAshlyn.
(08:40):
That was incredible.
Said William.
I love this so much.
We're so glad, but we're goingto need our feathers back
because we need to do some ofour own flying.
Okay, said the kids, but weshould probably go down first or
else we might fall.
Good idea.
So the kids and the ducks allflew back down to the duck pen.
(09:00):
Then William and Ashlyn pulledout all their feathers, one by
one.
Whose feather is this one Overhere?
Okay, whose feather is this one?
That's mine, said another duck.
The kids laughed as they gaveall the feathers back to all the
right ducks.
Once they had finished, theducks all smiled with their big
bill smiles.
All right, we will see youlater.
(09:22):
We're just going to go for aquick fly.
We'll be back for dinner.
Okay, said the kids, see youlater.
And with that the ducks allflew off into the distance.
The kids walked back to thehouse.
They were very excited and very, very happy.
As they got to the door, theirmum was there waiting.
Kids, did you remember to feedthe ducks?
Were they in a good mood?
(09:43):
Well, said William, I don'tthink you'd believe us, even if
we told you.
And that is the end of thestory.
(10:09):
We hope that you've beenenjoying the silly stories for
kids.
This has been us the Ducky Duck, ducks and me.
Sam, We'll see you soon.
