Speaker 1 (00:05):
One day a girl named
Monica was very excited because
today was her 40th birthday.
Now she had sent out lots ofinvites and planned lots of
exciting things because she wasgoing to have a party.
Now, monica loved parties andone of her favourite things to
do at the party was to have apiñata.
Now she had made the piñataherself.
(00:25):
She had worked very, very hard.
She had collected all kinds ofamazing things to surprise her
friends and put them inside.
Now the piñata got put in avery special place while the
party was on, because the partywas actually a high tea.
There were lovely cups of teaand beautiful biscuits and cakes
and all kinds of things, andall Monica's friends had come to
(00:46):
celebrate with her.
As they were all sitting, very, very excited about the party,
they were having cups of tea andeating their biscuits when, all
of a sudden, it was time.
It was time for the piñata.
All right, said Monica, where'sthe piñata?
She heard a voice off in thedistance.
I've got the piñata, it is here.
All of a sudden, a purple, fuzzy creature off in the
(01:07):
distance.
I've got the piñata, it is here.
All of a sudden, a purple, fuzzy creature walked into the
party.
Um, who are you?
Said Monica, my name is thePimpim and I just saw your
piñata and I thought I wouldbring it out for you, and I
definitely didn't do anything toit.
What do you mean?
You didn't do anything to it,said Monica, don't worry, it is
still exactly the same piñatathat you have put together.
(01:27):
It is definitely not changed atall, said Pimpin.
Monica was a little bitconfused, but she thought okay,
I'm sure it's okay.
So they strung up the piñata andthey found the very special
sticks to be able to hit thepiñata.
All right, said Monica, who'sgoing to go first?
Um, I will, said one of herfriends.
So they took the piñata stickand walked over and as they went
(01:49):
to hit it the first time, ouch, they heard a voice.
What, what was that said Monica.
Um, nothing, said Pimpin, as hewas running around the outside.
Who did that?
Said a voice from inside thepiñata.
Um, nobody's in there andnobody is hitting you.
Teddy Winkle, said Pimpin.
Teddy Winkle said Monica, itdoesn't actually hurt.
(02:10):
It's kind of funny in here.
Yes, because I stuffed it withall the padding to make sure
that you would be okay.
What are you talking about?
Said Monica.
Well, I thought that maybe Iwould bring some more friends to
your party.
And so here's another piñata.
More friends to your party?
And so here's another piñata.
Pimpin brought out another oneand another one and he pulled
out another, and in no time atall there were all kinds of
piñatas hanging everywhere.
(02:31):
Monica was very surprised.
Pimpin, what are all thesepiñatas?
Well, they're actually veryspecial ones.
They are protected very well sothat nobody gets hurt.
But when I say three, somethingvery strange will happen.
Okay, said Monica.
Well, are you going to count tothree?
Well, yes, I am, said Bim, bim,are you ready?
One, two, three, he yelled.
(02:53):
And when he yelled three, allof a sudden all the piñatas
exploded outwards.
It was like the wrapping paperhad been prepared to go into
very shreddy paper and itshredded to pieces and out of
each piñata fell one of Pimpim'sfriends.
There was Teddy Winkle, andthere was Peach, and there was
(03:13):
Tiger, pau and even Benigo.
What are we doing here, saidBenigo.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, said Tiger Pau,
what are we doing?
Oh look, it looks like a party.
Can I eat one of those cakesnow?
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Tiger Power ran off
to go eat one of the very
special cakes that were on oneof the tables.
Um hello, said Peach.
Um, whose birthday is it?
Um, it's my birthday, saidMonica.
Fantastic, said Peach.
Well, you look very pretty, butwould you mind if I made you
even more sparkly pretty?
Yes, please, said Monica.
(03:44):
So Peach walked over andstarted to wave her wand around
Monica.
As she waved the wand, beautiful colors started to
swirl around Monica and they allformed into a very special
birthday dress.
It was a sparkly, colorfulbirthday dress.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Um, said Tiger Pal
what's all this stuff on the
ground?
I think it's the leftovers ofthe pinatas, but I think it
might do something really,really fun.
Hey, Benigo, do you want tohelp me?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Oh, of course, said
Benigo, let's make it into
something fun and we need somemusic, said Teddy Winkle.
You're right, said Monica, wedo need some music.
That would be fun and then wecan do some dancing.
Good idea Okay Well, teddyWinkle, you and me we will get
on to the music.
Okay, said Teddy Winkle.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
And but there you go.
You and me will work with allthe leftovers of the piñatas to
make some kind of confetticannon.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Oh yes, very good
idea.
And I said Peach will continueto add some sparkle to this
party.
It's a very pretty party, butit can always use some more
sparkle, said Peach.
Can I help you?
Said Monica.
Of course, said Peach.
So Peach handed Monica her ownmagic wand and as they started
walking around the party, peachand Monica started creating very
(04:55):
special, sparkly, colorfulparty clothes for everybody that
was there.
They made sparkly dresses andsuits made entirely out of
confetti, colored light.
It was amazing.
In no time at all, every singleperson at the party had a very
special, colorful costume.
And Tiger Power and Benigo hadmade something very, very
strange and they were walkingback over to the middle of the
(05:17):
party.
Okay, who would like to helpwith the confetti cannon?
Said Benigo.
Who wants to help?
It's going to be a lot of fun,all right.
As they were yelling, all theparty people in all the colorful
clothes put their hands upbecause they wanted to help as
well.
All right, said Tiger Pell.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
All you got to do is
grab as many of those bits of
the shredded pinatas off theground and put them inside this
cannon.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Okay, said everyone
at the party.
So they started collecting allthe bits of shredded paper from
the piñatas and putting itinside the very special cannon.
As they filled it and filled itand filled it, they could see a
little meter on the side thatwas showing how full it was.
As they continued to fill, itwas getting very exciting
because Pim Pim and Teddy Winklehad found the speakers and they
(06:00):
started to play some music.
Okay, everybody, it is me, isme Pimpin the DJ, and I will be
spinning all the cool tunes andI'll be helping, said Teddy
Winkle.
Right, is everybody ready tohave some fun?
All the people yelled yes,we're ready.
So as they walked aroundpicking up the last pieces of
the piñatas that had beenshredded all over the ground,
(06:22):
the music made it even moreexciting.
So they danced as they moved, instead of just walking.
They would dance and twirl andspin and pick up more and more
of the pieces.
Monica and Peach, seeing theyhad decorated everybody's
clothes, decided to decorate theentire room as well.
They added more and moresparkle and more and more color.
It was so bright inside thatroom.
(06:44):
There were amazing colorfulthings everywhere and the colors
all seemed to move and swirl.
It was so much fun.
Okay, said benigo.
I think it is full.
Pim, pim.
Give us the biggest, mostnoisiest song that you can find
on the entire playlist.
Yes, and teddy winkle let's doit.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
This is going to be
the best.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Okay, said Pim Pim,
this is a very special song that
I have picked just for you, monica.
Okay, happy birthday, monica.
Enjoy your party, said Pim Pim.
Then he pressed play.
At first there was no noise.
It was quiet.
It was very, very strange.
The people were all standingperfectly still and waiting for
(07:27):
something to happen.
But the quiet did not last long.
They could hear a slow noisestarting to build.
It got louder and louder andlouder until it was so loud that
the bass kicked in and thepeople could not help but dance.
(07:49):
They started jumping around theroom having the best time as
they were dancing.
Their clothes seemed to dancealong with them.
The sparkly, colourful clotheswere doing amazing dancing on
the people that were also doingincredible dance moves.
It's time to press the button, said Benigo.
I'm gonna press.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Actually, I probably
shouldn't press it.
Monica, it's your birthday.
Would you like to press thespecial button?
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Really said Monica.
Really said Tiger Power Okay, she said she went over to the
very special machine that Benigoand Tiger Power had made.
The meter on the side showedthat it was completely full.
What's it going to do, saidMonica, you will see, said
Benigo.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Yes, you will see
said Tiger Power.
Press it, press it, press it.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Everybody at the
party started to chant.
Press it, press it, press it,okay.
Started to chant.
Press it, press it, press it,okay.
Said Monica, and she pressedthe button.
The machine went wild and as itdid, all the little pieces of
the piñata inside started toexplode at the top.
(08:58):
As they blasted out the end ofthe strange machine, they seemed
to swirl around through the skyand form amazing shapes.
As the music continued, all thelittle pieces formed animals
and sparkly lights that dancedalong with the music.
It was like an amazingcolourful papery light show in
the air.
And then, as the music wasalmost finishing, they all flew
(09:20):
back together.
And then, as the music wasalmost finishing, they all flew
back together and as theycollected themselves, appearing
in front of everybody was thetallest birthday cake that
anybody had ever seen.
It was so tall, it was tallerthan Monica herself.
Wow, said Bonnie, that'sincredible.
Yes, it is.
And do you know that this veryspecial piñata has made the most
(09:42):
tasty birthday cake in thewhole entire world?
It is even better than any ofthe cupcakes, said Benigo.
When he said this, somebodystuck their head in through the
door of the room.
Did somebody say cupcake?
Oh, tinky Woppa.
No, we said that it is not acupcake.
Why is it not a cupcake?
Said Tinkyyoppa.
No, we said that it is not acupcake.
Why is it not a cupcake, saidThingyoppa?
(10:02):
Um, because we made the machineto make a birthday cake.
I'll tell you what's betterthan a birthday cake, said
Thingyoppa, a birthday cupcake.
And as he said this, he racedback to the door and started
pulling in some kind of trailer.
He had to break the wall evenfurther open to be able to fit
it in.
As he pulled it inside.
(10:22):
This is what I have made foryou, monica.
It is my birthday cupcake.
Everybody at the party looked.
It was ginormous.
It was the biggest cupcake theythink they'd ever seen.
It was even bigger than thegiant birthday cake.
What do I do now, said Monica.
Blow out the candles, saidBenigo.
But there are no candles, saidMonica.
That is where this button comesin.
(10:44):
Benigo reached around to theother side of the machine and he
pressed the button.
With that, the last few piecesof the piñata flew around the
birthday cake and the cupcakecake and they filled it with
candles everywhere.
Then TigerPow clicked one lastswitch and all of the candles
came to life.
Wow, said Monica.
(11:06):
Okay, everybody, it is time tosing, said Pimpim.
So all the people at the partysang happy birthday to Monica,
for it was a very special, verycolorful, very fun day.
As they were singing, they allcheered and Monica cut both of
the cakes, from top to bottom.
When it was finished, everybodyhad a piece of cake and Monica
(11:27):
was smiling.
Um, monica, said Tiger Pau.
Yes, tiger Pau said Monica, wecan't forget your piñata.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
I'm sure that one was
very fun too, oh yeah, said
Monica, let's put up my piñata.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
So they strung up
monica's piñata in the middle of
the room and everybody tookturns hitting it with the piñata
stick until it exploded open.
It was filled with confetti andglitter and lollies and toys
and everybody had the mostwonderful time.
As they were all collectingtheir things and getting ready
to go, everyone said thank youto monica for such a fantastic
party and all the characters gottogether and waved to Monica
(12:04):
together.

later, monica.
Yeah, see you later, and I hopeyou have a fantastic year, said
Peach.
And with that all thecharacters waved and ran back
off in their various directions.
As they all left the room, monica's mum came in to look at
(12:24):
the room.
It was covered in confetti andtoys and colours and everything.
Monica, she said what happenedto this room.
It looks like the mostcolourful exploding birthday
