One day, three little kidsnamed Emma, lucy and Caleb were

Now they had been getting alltheir things ready They'd

heading down to the pool.

They were very excited aboutthe pool.

When they arrived at the pool,it wasn't very busy, but there

As they got out, they got readyto jump in, they got their

First he walked over to theside of the pool, but as he got

She put her foot on the edge ofthe pool and started to press
up and down.
It feels really wobbly.
She said Um, let me try, saidLucy.

So Lucy raced over to the edgeof the pool.
She felt the wobbliness and hadan idea.

She jumped on the edge of thepool, not into the pool, but
onto the edge of the pool whenshe landed patoy.

I don't know, said Emma.

They were looking and theywatched as Lucy came down and
splashed right in the middle ofthe pool.
Wow, said the other two.
That looked like so much fun.
You should try, said Lucy.

So he stood on the edge of thepool as well and he jumped on
the edge.
He went flying into the sky aswell.
Wait for me, said Emma.
Emma jumped on as well.
As she jumped on, she wentflying up straight into the air.

As she was going up, up up, shesaw Caleb coming back down.
Hi, caleb, she said as Calebwent past there.

Trouble was Caleb had done sucha big splash that he had
splashed all the water out ofthe pool.

What should we do?
Said Lucy.
Um, I don't know.

Just then Caleb noticed somekind of strange cave on the side
of the pool.
What's that in there?
He said.
And out of the funny lookingcave came a pirate.
Arr, said the pirate, who beknocking all the water out of me

Sea cave.
Um, that was me, said Caleb.
And our sister is about to comecrash into the ground.
Don't you worry, said thepirate, I've got an idea.
He raced over to Lucy and tookthe floaty off her.
Hey, said Lucy.
I'll just borrow this for asecond, said the pirate.
And he raced back out into themiddle of the pool.
By the time he got back to themiddle, they could see Emma

coming down.
He raced underneath her withthe floatie and held it out.
She landed safely on thefloatie.
Whoa, what just happened?
Said Emma.
Well, ye, little brother, beknocking all the water out of me
sea cave and I be deciding thatit is not a great idea for you
to come crashing down into anempty pool.

Uh yes, said Emma, that wouldnot have been a good idea at all

She looked around.
But what are we going to do now?
Nobody can use the pool.
It's empty.

As he started to climb out ofthe pool, lucy turned to him.

Huzzah, said Pirate Peggy Pants, of course ye can be a pirate.

Hang on, let me see.
He quickly jumped back down theladder and raced over to his
sea cave.
He came back out with threepirate hats.
He put one on Emma, one on Lucyand one on Caleb.
Now ye be part of me, crew,said Pirate Peggy Pants.
But it is time to find the newwater.
Where are we going to find thenew water?
Said Emma.
Come on, said the pirate.

So the kids raced off after himand he went out of the pool and
around to some kind of strangelittle hole in the ground.
The kids looked in.
That looks shimmery, said Emma.
It is shimmery, said PiratePeggy Pants.
Come on, we need to worktogether.
Pirate Peggy Pants reached downinto the shimmery hole and
picked up a handful of theliquid.

How did you do that, said Lucy.
Arr, this is very special.
Grab yourself some.
Ah okay, said the kids.
So they all grabbed a littlebit of the shimmering liquid
each and they started carryingit across to the pool.
As they carried it across,caleb was looking at him.
As he looked deeply at theshimmering liquid, he noticed Um
, is it alive?

Said Caleb.
Ha ha, said Pirate Peggy Pants.
Well, kind of, wait and see.
Pirate Peggy Pants grabbed hishandful.
Now, it is very important thatyou do not throw it straight in.
Well, what are we meant to do,said Lucy.
Like this, said Pirate PeggyPants as he turned around and
threw it over the top of hishead.
He said throwing it over himand behind him into the pool.

When it hit the bottom of thepool, the pool quickly filled to
the very top.
What said Emma?
What's going to happen when wethrow ours in?
Well, mine be doing the fillingand yours be doing the sillying

He said Um the sillying, don'tworry, give it a go.
So the kids turned around.
Uh, one at a time, no, not oneat a time, said Pirate

Okay, said the kids.
So they turned around and theythrew the shimmering liquid over
their heads into the pool.
When they threw it, it landedand the pool did some very
strange things.
First of all, a giant wavepopped up out of the pool and
started crashing down on themiddle.
Then, when the second lump hit,the water all seemed to turn to

sparkles and it was shimmeringand shaking.
And then it went out into a bigball and then splashed back
into the middle.
And then, when the last one hit, the entire pool seemed to turn
to ice.
Wow, said the kids.
That was ridiculous.
All right, well, at least thepool's full again.

Now we get to play.
Play, said the kids.
Of course, we're your floaties.
Um, okay, uh, I've got one here.
Caleb pulled out a littlecrocodile floatie and I've got
one here.
She pulled out a little sharkfloatie and this one's mine.
Over here, emma pulled out anoctopus floatie.
It was very funny.
Har har har said PiratePeggypants and I be using me

He pulled out a floaty thatlooked like a pirate ship.
Is everybody ready?
He said Um, okay, said the kids.
Okay, one, two, three yelledPirate Peggypants and on three,
all the kids jumped into thepool with their different
floaties.
When they jumped in, somethingvery strange happened.
Caleb's crocodile came to lifeand it grew to the full size of

The crocodile turned around.
Hello, it said we better dosome munching.
It said Munching, said Caleb.

around the pool trying to munchanything that it could find.

Um, hi, said Lucy, let's go fora swim, it said as it swum down
into the water.
Whoa, said Lucy as she wentunderneath the water, but for
some reason she was able tobreathe.
Then Emma's octopus started tocome to life as well.
It started wiggling all itsarms in every direction,

flapping about.
They looked up and there,floating on top of the water,
was Pirate Peggypants in a realpirate ship.
Ahoy me, hearties, you scurvydogs, never be defeating me.
Pirate Peggypants, he said.
And the kids looked up andPirate Peggypants had cannons
aimed at all of them.
What they said PiratePeggypants, don't worry, it's

only a game, but it's a fun game.
He said Fire.
And as he fired, a cannonballthat was actually made out of a
floaty flew straight towardsCaleb.
It bopped him right in thetummy.
Oh, he said that tickles, yes,me tickle.
Floaty cannonballs be shootingin every direction, he said.
Pirate Peggypants continued toblast his cannons all around.

The kids were getting blastedby the tickle cannonballs.
Woohoo, said Emma.
Ah, that tickles, said Lucy.
They were laughing and tryingto get away Quick.
Let's make up a plan, said Emma.
They all swam to the corner ofthe pool.
Then they grabbed some thingsto try and make a barrier.
They found some mats and someother floaties to try and hide
behind.
So they could make a plan ofhow to get Pirate Peggypants.

All right, said Emma.
We need to work out what to do.
Um, well, I can go underwater,said Lucy.
Really, said Caleb, that soundslike fun.
We can go underwater too, saidhis crocodile.
Oh really, yes, but not for toolong.

The kids all whispered untilthey had come up with an amazing

plan.
Let's do it, said Emma Hooray,cheered the other two kids.

kids Come out, yelled PiratePeggypants.
This be a battle and I be thewinner, he said.
And as they let down all theinflatables and mats that were
in front of them, piratePeggypants went to sail his ship
right into the middle.

He said he was looking around.

You can't hide from me forever,he said, trying to work out
where the kids had gone.
But then he realised an octopuspopped up right behind him.
Bah, he said Quick, where's mecannon?
He tried to grab one of hiscannons to turn towards the
octopus.
But while he was turning thatway, lucy popped up with her
shark inflatable and it took abig bite out the side of his

With her shark inflatable andit took a big bite out the side
of his pirate ship.
Oh no, we be deflating, saidPirate Peggypants.
Our turn, said Caleb to hiscrocodile.
It swum up on the other side,where Pirate Peggypants wasn't
looking either Munch, munch,munch, it said, and it took
another bite out the side ofPirate Peggypants' pirate ship.
This time the munch was so bigthat it sent the pirate ship

sailing Not on the water butinto the sky.
Psssh Ah, said PiratePeggypants as his ship went
floating over the top of thepool.
It did loops through the airand a couple of flips and then
landed on the side of the pool.
When it landed, he stood up.

That was amazing.
The kids all laughed and theirinflatable animals were very
excited too.
They jumped and flipped out ofthe water.

I need to get back to the highseas.
There are lots of peoplewaiting for me to be a pirate
and steal treasure and all thosepiratey type things.

So they all took theirinflatables and swam over to the

the shimmering liquid and threwit into the pool.

All of a sudden, the whole poolturned into a giant whirlpool.
It spun around and around andaround and the kids were getting

sucked around with it.
They said this is so much fun.
It was spinning and twirlingthem as they went around and
around and around until thewhirlpool slowly eased off.
When it finally stopped, thekids swam over to the side of
the pool and they climbed out.

as nothing, but when you blowthem up and throw them in the

It could be anything acrocodile, a shark, even maybe

Actually, I need one of those.

We've had so much fun in thepool.
Well, it's not quite time foryou to get out.
There's one more thing to do.

Said the kids.
All right, all of you over tothat end.
So they all took theirinflatables and swam over to the
end of the pool.
When they arrived there, theywaited.

What now?
They said Pirate Peggy Pantspulled out one more handful of
the shimmering liquid and threwit into the pool.
Have fun, he said.
What said the kids as PiratePeggy Pants threw the last
handful into the pool?
All of a sudden, the whole poolturned into a giant whirlpool.
It spun around and around andaround and the kids were getting

sucked around with it.
They said this is so much fun.
It was spinning and twirlingthem as they went around and
around and around until thewhirlpool slowly eased off.
When it finally stopped, thekids swam over to the side of
the pool and they climbed out.
(12:43):
Their mum was there waiting.
Hi, kids.
She said how is the pool?
Well said, lucy.
I don't think you'd believe us,even if we told you and that is
the end of the story.

Real Life Inflatables, the onlytypes of inflatables that start
as nothing, but when you blowthem up and throw them in the
water, they come to life.
It could be anything acrocodile, a shark, even maybe
an inflatable toy car that coulddrive around on the water and
take out all the pirate ships.
Actually, I need one of those.
That might make my life alittle bit easier.
