Speaker 1 (00:06):
One day two little kids named Landon and Rosalind
were sitting at their house.
As they were sitting upstairs, they had been playing some games
around their tour room.
They were playing and sittingon the floor when all of a
sudden, they heard a noise.
What was that?
Said Landon.
I don't know, said Rosalind.
I think something hit the house.
What was it?
Maybe nothing.

(00:28):
They tried to sit back down butas they did, they heard the
noise again.
Something hit our house again, said Landon.
They went over to the windowand they looked outside and
there in their backyard was alittle tiger.
He was wearing some kind ofsuperhero cape and he had a golf
club.
What is he doing?
Said Rosalind.
I don't know, said Landon,let's go see.

(00:50):
As they went to go downstairsto have a look, they started
walking down, but they heardsomething back upstairs.
What was that, said Landon.
I don't know, said Rosalind, webetter go look.
They raced back upstairs to seewhat had happened.
And when they got there, there's broken glass everywhere,
said Landon.
Don't come any closer.

(01:11):
Yes, said Rosalind, we betternot step in that.
Uh-oh.
They heard a voice from outside.
They raced back down the stairsto go see what the little tiger
was doing.
When they got outside, thetiger was looking very, very
scared.
Um, I think I just brokesomeone's window.
Um, that was our window, saidLandon.
Uh-oh, said Tiger Pal.
I'm really sorry.

(01:32):
I'm just I'm trying to learnhow to play golf.
Golf, said Rosalind.
Yeah, it's been something thatI've heard is a lot of fun, and
so I was trying to do somepractice, but I'm not very good
yet, hence why I think I brokeyour window.
Just then the kid's mum camedownstairs.
Kids, what happened to thewindow?
Um, sorry, said Tiger Pal, atiger, what are you doing in our

(01:54):
yard?
I'm trying to learn how to playgolf, but it's not going very
well.
Sorry about your window, saidTiger Pal.
Oh, um, that's okay, said theirmum.
Don't worry, we can fix it.
Yeah, said the kids, it'll befine, but maybe we can help you
practice your golf.
Oh, that might be helpful.
All right, that'd be reallyreally good.
Do you think you could actuallydo that?
Um, the kids looked at eachother.

(02:15):
Yes, I think we can.
So the kids went over to whereTiger Power was and they had a
very good look at his golf bag.
As they looked at it, theyrealised that his clubs looked a
little bit funny.
Um, tiger Power, whereaboutsdid you find these golf clubs?
Um, well, I was at my friend'shouse and I asked if I could

(02:37):
borrow them and they were doingsomething else.
So they said oh yeah, go for it, but just be careful, they're
um.
What said Rosalind?
Um, I didn't actually listen tothe end of it.
I got a little bit distractedbecause I was very excited about
going to play golf.
Um well, these golf clubs lookvery, very strange and the golf
balls look a little bit weirdtoo, said Rosalind.
As she pulled one out of thebag.
She looked at it very carefully.

(02:58):
Yeah, I haven't tried one ofthose ones.
What do you mean?
Said Landon.
Well, there seems to be lots ofdifferent types of golf balls
in the bag.
I was just trying to hit theones that look like normal golf
balls, but I've run out of thoseones.
Um, okay, well, let's see whatthis one does, said Landon.
He put one on the ground.
Okay, uh, I think you shouldtry and keep your eyes on the
ball as you swing and maybe notaim towards the house.

(03:21):
Oh, yeah, good idea.
So Tiger Power turned aroundand aimed towards the open park
next to the house.
I'm all right, eyes on the ballOne, two and three.
As he swung the golf club andhit the golf ball, something
very strange happened.
It flew into the air and thenit split into two separate
pieces.
What just happened, saidRosalind?

(03:42):
Then the two separate pieceshad some kind of helicopter pop
out the top of them and theystarted flying around through
the sky.
Whoa, said Landon.
What's happening?
The little helicopter, half golfballs were flying around all
over the place, through themiddle of the park, across the
road.
The kids were laughing.
Let's catch them, said Landon.
So Landon and Rosalind startedtrying to chase the little half

(04:02):
golf balls.
I'm coming too, said TigerPower.
He raced after the golf ballsto go see what was happening.
They all ran across and thegolf balls seemed to fly in lots
of weird directions, up anddown and inside out.
Oh no, said Tiger Power, wemight need to hit them again.
Hang on, grab a golf club.
Tiger Power threw two golfclubs, one to Landon and one to

(04:23):
Rosalind, and they all startedchasing.
Let's get em, yelled Landon.
Yeah, said Rosalind.
Well, I'm gonna get you, saidTigerPow as he started running
after the golf ball.
The three of them were runningthrough the park, swinging their
golf clubs, trying to hit theflying little half helicopter
golf balls.
They got close.
I think I've got it, saidLandon.
He swung his golf club throughthe air.

(04:43):
The half golf club shatteredinto tiny little pieces.
Whoa, that was amazing, saidRosalind, as one of the little
golf clubs zipped past her head.
Whoa, she said, diving out ofthe way.
Come back here.
She started running after thelittle helicopter half golf ball
and smashed it into a thousandpieces.

(05:07):
Hooray, yelled Tiger Pal, thatwas amazing.
And did you see my hit?
It was a lot better.
Look how far it went.
I don't think you can claim allthe distance, said Landon.
I think a lot of it had to dowith those little helicopters.
Oh yeah, I guess so.
But maybe we should try one ofthe other balls.
Who wants a turn Can?
But maybe we should try one ofthe other balls.
Who wants a turn?
Can I have a turn, said Landon.
Definitely, said Tiger Pau,let's do it.

(05:27):
So Tiger Pau made sure thatLandon had his golf club.
Now I've been told that you'vegot to hold it like this.
And Tiger Pau showed him how tochange his grip to make sure
that it was very strong, andthen keep your eyes on the ball.
You taught me that.
Yeah, but I don't have a ballyet, said Landon.
Here you go.
Said Rosalind, as she pulledone out I like the pink one.
She put it down on the ground.
Landon looked at it verycarefully.

(05:48):
Um, do you think this is goingto do something interesting?
I hope so, said Tiger Pell Metoo.
And as he swung his golf clubhe kept his eyes on the ball and
it just went into the air.
Oh oh, it mustn't have been a.
The golf ball exploded into acloud of smoke.

(06:09):
Then the smoke started tochange shape.
What's it doing?
Said rosalind.
Or think it's spelling out someletters, but I'm not very good
at reading landon.
Can you read that?
Landon looked up and the smokefrom the exploded golf ball
started to spell out a word.
What does it say?
Said Tiger Power.
It says hello.
Oh, that's fun, hello.

(06:30):
Yelled out Tiger Power.
Then the smoke changed into theshape of a hand and started
waving at them.
Oh, that's amazing, that is somuch fun.
Hang on, I wonder if we can hitanother golf ball at it.
Hey, smoke, can you turn into atarget?
All of a sudden the smoke handturned into a thumbs up and then
it turned into the shape of atarget.
Your turn, rosalind.

(06:51):
Rosalind was very excited.
Okay, I'll pick the golf ballthis time, said Landon.
He went over to the bag andpulled out another golf ball.
This one was sparkly.
I wonder what this one's goingto do.
Oh, good one, put it down, let's do it.
So Landon put the golf ball downin front of his sister and
Rosalind held the golf club.
Oh, you look very comfortable, said Tiger Power.
Yeah, it feels very natural.

(07:13):
Then she swung her club.
It was an amazing swing.
She made perfect connectionwith the golf ball and it went
flying into the air straightthrough the middle of the smoke
target.
When it went through the middle, the smoke puffed out in all
directions and then the sparklygolf balls started to do
something very strange.
What's it doing, said Landon.

(07:34):
What do I know, said TigerPower.
As he watched it, it seemed tostart to spiral and spiral and
spiral and spiral until it wasgoing really, really fast.
What's happening?
Said Rosalind.
What a no.
Let's get closer to look.
The kids and Tiger Power racedover close to underneath where
the golf ball was.
As it spun and spiraled, itseemed to be forming a shape.

(07:54):
It's kind of like a drill, saidLandon.
Yeah, said Rosalind, it lookslike.
Then it started to plowstraight down into the ground.
Ah, said the kids diving outthe way, and the spinning golf
ball drill started to drill ahole straight down into the
ground.
Uh-oh, said Tiger Pell, what'sit doing?
The kids watched and lookeddown the hole as it drilled

(08:15):
deeper and deeper and deeper anddeeper.
Oi, who did that?
Uh-oh, said Tiger Pell, whatjust happened?
As the kids were looking downthe hole, all of a sudden a
little gopher popped his headout the side of a little tunnel.
Who put a giant hole in the topof my roof.
Um, said Tiger Power.
Well, I think that might haveaccidentally been us.
Uh, yeah, said Landon, we wereplaying with some strange golf

(08:38):
balls that we don't really knowwhat they do.
Yeah, said Rosalind, and mineturned into a drill and I think
it drilled a hole through yourroof.
Sorry, oh well, it's actuallypretty perfect.
I was planning on putting in askylight.
Oh, that's good.
Yeah, I just got to findsomething to fill it in with.
Now, said the gopher.
He was very excited and hestarted to do a little dance.
Um, maybe there might besomething in our golf bag, said

(09:01):
Tiger Power.
Yeah, said the kids, let's look.
They went over to the golf bagand started pulling out all the
different random golf balls.
Um, not this one, said Landon.
It looks like it's full of sand.
Yeah, and this one looks fullof confetti, said Rosalind.
Um, keep looking.
What about this?
Said Landon.
He held up a golf ball thatlooked like it was completely
made out of glass.

(09:21):
Yeah, that might work, but howdo we get it to fill this hole?
Well, said the gopher, I'veheard that golf balls like to go
in holes, like you do thatputting thing, where you don't
hit it hard, you just kind oftap it into the hole.
See this, it's a big hole.
Maybe if you tap it into thehole it might work.
Oh, maybe if you tap it intothe hole it might work.
Oh, good idea, said Tiger Power.

(09:41):
Um, who's going to do it?
Um, we think you should, saidRosalind.
Yeah, said Landon, it's yourturn.
All right, well, putting's thepart that I need to practice the
most, said Tiger Power.
Um, all right, I'll put it here.
Hang on, said Landon.
I'll make sure that the path isvery clear.
So Landon and Rosalind got downand made sure that the path in

(10:04):
front of the ball was very clear.
Tiger Power pulled the putterout of his golf bag and he lined
it up.
All right, there looks like alittle bit of a slope going that
way and then a little bit of aslope going that way.
Don't forget the bump overthere, said the gopher, pointing
at one on the side as the kidswere watching Tiger Power lined
up his putt.
I think it's ready.
All right, hang on.
One, two, three.

(10:26):
Tiger Pal gave the glass golfball a tap.
He didn't want to break it.
As he tapped it, it started toroll up one side and back down,
then up the other side and backdown until it went straight into
the hole at the top of thegopher's house.
As it went down through thehole, all of a sudden, uh-oh,

(10:53):
said Landon, I think it smashed.
As the kids raced over to thehole to see what had happened,
the gopher popped up at adifferent hole, just off to the
side.
That's amazing, he said.
Look at it.
As the kids got closer, theyrealised that the golf ball
hadn't smashed.
It had separated into piecesand it had formed an amazing
stained glass window At the topof the hole in the gopher's
house.
That's incredible.

(11:14):
Look at the colours.
Look at the pictures.
Um, is that me, said Tiger Pal.
It is you, said the kids.
The stained glass window hadactually made a picture of Tiger
Pal.
Hooray, said Tiger Pal.
That was a good putt, said thegopher.
I've been practicing, saidTiger Pal.
The kids laughed.
They were all having so muchfun.

(11:35):
All right, kids, I think I'mready to go on tour as a
professional golfer now.
We think so too, said Landon.
Yeah, said Rosalind, you'vedone so well, all right.
Well, I better take you homefirst.
Thanks for putting in thatstained glass window, said the
gopher.
It's amazing, I know, becauseit's me, said Tiger Power.
The kids laughed as they walkedback over to their house and

(11:58):
walked up towards the front door.
Their mum was there waiting.
Hey, kids, did you help TigerPower learn to play golf?
Well, said Rosalind.
I don't think you'd believe us,even if we told you.
And that is the end of thestory.

(12:20):
