Speaker 1 (00:05):
One day, two little
kids named Ryder and Hudson were
going for a ride on their bikes.
As they were riding along theroad, all of a sudden they heard
a very strange noise.
Help, help.
They looked around.
Where's that noise coming from, said Ryder.
I don't know, said Hudson, butI think it's getting closer to
us.
Help, help, noise coming from, said Ryder.
(00:25):
I don't know, said Hudson, butI think it's getting closer to
us.
Help, help.
As they were watching, all of asudden a funny looking man ran
around the corner.
He was carrying a toolbox.
He raced straight over to theboys.
Excuse me, boys, do you thinkyou can help me?
Who, who are you?
Said Ryder?
My name is Bonigo.
Hi Bon Hudson.
Um, what do you need help with?
Well, I am in very big troublebecause I was trying to set up a
(00:48):
new restaurant, you see, because I love food sometimes
and I like doing inventions.
So I thought that maybe I couldcombine my funny inventions
with food and make an incrediblerestaurant.
But something went very, verywrong.
What went wrong?
Said Ryder?
I think it is probably bestthat you come with me and see.
(01:09):
So the boys followed Benigo ontheir bikes.
As they rode around the corner, they could hear loud noises
coming from a restaurant just upahead.
As they got closer and closer, the noises got louder.
There was smashing of pots andbanging of pans and all kinds of
ridiculous things going oninside.
Um, I don't think we want to goin there, said Ryder.
(01:29):
I know, said Benigo.
I don't want to go in either, but we need to get this fixed.
Uh, okay, said Hudson.
What?
What seems to be the problem?
They looked in through thewindow and they could see all
these tiny little creaturesbouncing around inside that
seemed to be trying to destroyeverything.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
I'm gonna get this
one.
I'm gonna get this one, yippee.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
What is that?
Said Ryder.
Those are the taste buddies.
The taste buddies, said Hudson.
What are taste buddies?
They are tiny little creaturesthat come from food land and
they have a very good skill athelping people decide what they
want to eat.
I thought that I would be ableto use them to help make my
(02:11):
machines very important, but Igave them too many different
foods and now they seem to beout of control.
Oh dear, said the kids.
Well, how are we going to getthem back in control?
To be honest, said Ponego, Idon't really know.
Well, let's go inside and seewhat we can do.
Ryder stretched forward andgrabbed the door handle as he
went to open.
No, don't open the door, saidBenigo, but it was too late.
(02:33):
As soon as Ryder opened thedoor, all the taste buddies came
slamming out of the restaurant.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
The taste buddies
blasted out the door and started
dancing off into the street.
Oh no, said Benigo.
Sorry, said Ryder.
I don't know what else youcould have really done, but we
need to catch these tastebuddies.
How are we going to catch them?
Said Hudson.
I think that we should make aninvention.
An invention, said Ryder.
Yes, come with me.
(03:02):
The kids and Benigo went insidethe shop At the back of the shop
there.
Yes, come with me.
Um, this restaurant doesn'treally look ready.
Yes, I was just working on it.
Luckily, I have my workbenchhere and my toolbox and we can
make some very cool inventions.
So we need to catch some testbuddies.
I think that we should startwith a food gun.
(03:23):
A food gun, said Ryder.
Yes, if we make a specialblaster that can shoot food,
maybe we will be able to attractsome of the test bodies.
Ah, okay, so the kids startedworking with Benigo.
They grabbed tools out of histoolbox and helped him grab all
the different things untilBenigo had made a funny looking
pipe.
Okay, I think this will work.
(03:43):
Hang on, let me try.
Benigo pointed the a funnylooking pipe.
Okay, I think this will work.
Hang on, let me try.
Benigo pointed the food blastertowards the door.
He pressed the button.
All of a sudden, on one of thetables at the front door was a
fully set up three course meal.
Wow, said Ryder, that looksincredible.
A taste buddy came flying inthrough the door and started
munching on the food.
Quick, catch him.
Hudson dove to try and catchthe taste buddy.
(04:06):
I can't grab him, he's tooquick.
He danced around and jumped allover the table as he munched up
more and more of the food.
Ok, we need something to helpcatch them.
Um, we need something.
Is that an ice machine?
Said Hudson.
Yes, it is, but I haven't quitefinished.
Do you think we could make theice machine into something?
(04:26):
Oh, good thinking, said Benigo.
So Ryder, hudson and Benigoworked very quickly while the
taste buddy kept munching andmunching and munching all the
food.
Then Benigo held it up.
Here you go, ryder, you try.
Ryder pointed the new big pipetowards the taste buddy and, as
he blasted, cold air camestreaming out straight towards
the taste buddy.
(04:46):
In no time at all, the tastebuddy was completely frozen in
place.
Benigo picked him up and poppedhim into a bag.
Well done, we have got one.
Only a lot more to go, saidBenigo.
But now we have the tools weneed, said Ryder, let's go.
Said Hudson.
(05:07):
Wait, not quite all of thetools.
You can use these as well, saidBenigo.
He pulled out three saucepans.
What are those saucepans, saidRyder.
How are they gonna help?
Well, they are not like normalsaucepans.
I thought, instead of havingwaiters, maybe I could use
flying saucepans to take thefoods straight to the people in
the restaurant, so you can usethem like a flying carpet.
(05:30):
Really, said the kids.
Really said Benigo, jump on.
So the kids all jumped on asaucepan each and it lifted into
the air and they could fly thesaucepan in whatever direction
that they liked.
Ryder held the food blaster, hudson held the ice blaster and
they zoomed out the front doorwith Benigo close behind.
How will we find the tastebuddies, said Ryder.
(05:52):
I don't think you need to worryabout trying to find them, just
follow the destruction.
They looked around and, sureenough, there were broken things
all over the place.
Uh, I, we're going this way,said Hudson.
Hooray, said Ryder, let's go.
They flew off on their veryspecial flying saucepans in the
direction of all the chaos.
As they went around, they couldsee more and more things that
(06:15):
had been completely destroyed.
Don't worry, boys, we will beable to fix it all.
We just need to catch the tastebuddies.
Ok, they said.
They could hear the noise ofthe taste buddies seeming to get
closer.
I think they have foundsomething.
Maybe it has slowed them down.
As they looked around the corner, there was some shops and all
(06:35):
the noise was coming from insideone particular shop.
What shop is it?
Said Benigo.
The boys looked it's the honeyshop.
Oh, dear, said Benigo.
The boys looked it's the honeyshop.
Oh, dear, said Benigo.
They got closer and closer andcloser and as they opened the
door there was somethingincredible Taste buddies were
flying around inside the honeyshop, all covered in honey.
(06:57):
The lady at the counter was veryconfused.
What's happening?
She said Um sorry, said Benigo.
These are the taste buddies andwe will do our best to catch
them as quick as we can.
Okay, boys, go.
So with the ice blaster ready, they blasted as many of the
taste buddies as they could.
As soon as they started, someof the other taste buddies
realised what was happening andthey flew and bounced towards
(07:19):
the door.
In no time at all they hadbounced out, but a few of them
were caught Very sticky honeyice blocks.
Okay, I've got these ones boys.
We need to go chase all theothers.
Sorry, mrs Honey Lady, I willcome back and fix your shop very
, very soon.
Thank you, said the lady.
All right, said the boys.
(07:40):
They jumped back on their frypans and flew back out the door.
See you later, they said, asthey went off into the sky.
As Benigo was following the boys, they were looking and
listening for more chaos.
They seem to have gone quiet.
That is not a good thing, saidBenigo.
Not at all, said Ryder.
They could be anywhere.
I wonder what they're up to.
They could be anywhere.
I wonder what they're up to,said Hudson.
(08:02):
They continued to fly, watchingand listening until it became
very clear where the TasteBuddies were.
Not a food festival, saidBenigo, as they looked down.
There, in the middle of one ofthe streets, was a big festival
with lots of people and lots offood trucks and lots of Taste
(08:23):
Buddies blasting in every singledirection.
Oh dear, yelled Benigo, we needto catch those taste buddies.
But there was even more troublecoming very quickly because as
the taste buddies continued tobounce around the food truck
festival, all of a sudden theyfound themselves inside
(08:43):
different food trucks.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Ah, rawr, rawr.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
One of the taste
buddies grabbed the steering
wheel of one of the food trucksand began to drive.
No, said Benigo.
Then, watching him, some of theother taste buddies began to
grab the steering wheels ofother food trucks and they all
began to drive.
In no time at all, a wholebunch of food trucks being
driven by a bunch of tiny littletaste buddies were rolling out
(09:09):
of the food festival and takingoff down the street.
We need to catch them.
The ice blaster seems to berunning out of power, said
Hudson.
What are we going to do?
Um, I don't know.
Hey guys, yelled a voice.
They looked down and out of anice cream van down the bottom
stuck the head of a little tiger.
Hey, Benigo, is that you Tigerpal?
(09:30):
What are you doing here?
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Well, I decided to
make myself an ice cream van,
and this is my first foodfestival.
What's wrecking it?
What are those tiny littlethings?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
They are the taste
buddies.
They have taken control.
They've lost it.
I don't know how to stop them, and our ice blaster has run out
of power.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I have a lot of
things that can make a lot of
ice.
Do you think that will help?
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yes, definitely so.
Tiger Power invited them insidehis truck and the boys
connected the ice blaster up toall of Tiger Power's freezers.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
This will work.
Alright, I'll drive BenigoRyder Hudson, you take the ice
blasters We've got this.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
As Tiger Power began
to drive along, Ryder picked up
the food blaster.
Should we use this one thistime?
Yes, said Benigo.
If we start shooting food inthe right direction, hopefully
the taste buddies will follow.
Okay, we need to get them tothat big open area over there.
Can you shoot it as many timesas you can in that direction?
Okay, so he began to shoot andevery time different kinds of
(10:32):
food came out.
There was pasta dishes andsteaks and chicken schnitzels
and a big veggie stir fry.
It was very, very tasty looking.
In no time at all, all the foodvans seemed to be turning
towards the big open area.
As the taste buddies in theirfood trucks drove into the area,
they were all looking at thegiant pile of food.
Then they backed their trucksup to the giant pile of food and
(10:54):
then they started pulling allthe food out of their trucks and
putting it onto the big pile.
In no time at all there was agiant mess of all different
kinds of foods.
There was tacos and chicken andspirally potatoes.
The taste buddy in the burgervan was dumping burger after
burger after burger.
The pile was getting enormous.
(11:14):
Then all the taste buddiesjumped out of their trucks and
they ran as quick as they could, bouncing off everything until
they jumped towards the giantpile of food.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
And as they jumped,
bouncing off everything until
they jumped towards the giantpile of food.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
And as they jumped
into the air, tiger Pal yelled.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Now, guys now.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
The boys and Benigo
each picked up an ice blaster
that was connected to TigerPal's freezers and began to
blast.
Trouble was, there was stillsome ice cream in Tiger Pal's
freezers.
So along with the icy, freezyair that was starting to freeze
the taste buddies, ice cream wasalso blasting out like a
spattery rain.
Oh no, not me ice cream, saidTiger Pal.
Sorry, Tiger Pal, but we mustdo it.
(11:57):
They continued to blast andblast, and the taste buddies on
the pile of food got slower andslower and slower, until they
all slowed down and froze inposition.
Benigo went over and picked themup one by one and popped them
into the big bag that he had.
I'm so sorry, said Benigo.
(12:18):
I did not mean to waste all ofyour ice cream and I feel sorry
for all the people in the foodtrucks.
All their food is right here.
I wonder said Tiger Power.
You wonder what said Benigo.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Hey, Benigo, do you
think that you could make a very
special invention to turn thisgiant pile of food into some
very interesting types of food?
Speaker 1 (12:40):
I think so, said
Benigo.
Let me see Boys, can you help?
Okay, said Ryder.
Definitely, said Hudson.
So Benigo, ryder and Hudsonworked very, very hard, using
everything that they could findout of all the different trucks
until I think it is ready, saidBenigo.
By now, all the people from thetrucks had made their way to
(13:00):
the big, open area and there infront of them was one of the
biggest, most ridiculous lookingmachines you have ever seen.
Hello everybody, my name isbonigo.
I am very sorry for the messthat my days buddies have made,
but fortunately it has led tothe greatest invention of all
time.
Bonigo pressed the on buttonand the boys started shoveling
(13:21):
all the food into the machine.
What are those kids doing?
They're shoveling all the foodinto the machine.
What are those kids doing?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
They're picking up
all the food and putting it
inside that machine, won't it be?
Speaker 1 (13:28):
dirty.
No, not dirty, because we putin the very special cleaning
parts of the machine and now, look, in no time at all, these
round little balls startedpopping up at the top and they
were flying in the direction ofall the people.
Catch them and have a taste.
The people started to catch theballs, one by one.
They were the most incredibleflavour explosion that they had
(13:48):
ever tasted.
There was all kinds of strangeflavours.
It was hot and cold and spicyand sweet all at the same time,
but something about it was thisis the best thing I've ever
tasted yelled Tiger Pal.
It's amazing.
All the people started to catchthem more and more and were
tasting each and every singleone.
Each ball tasted a little bitdifferent, but the flavours were
(14:11):
incredible.
The people were so excited thatthey began to dance.
Then they began to chant Bonigo, bonigo, bonigo.
Can we invite this guy to thenext food truck festival?
Yeah, he's my friend, saidTiger Pail.
I'll make sure he comes.
Ho ho, thank you, said Benigo.
Maybe, instead of a restaurant,I make my own fixie food truck
(14:32):
where I help other food trucksmake their food extra tasty.
Good idea, said the boys.
So as Benigo packed up histaste buddies and all of his
tools, he started to head backhome.
Thank you, boys, I am sograteful.
Hang on to the flying fry pansand you can take yourself back
home.
Okay, they said.
They flew on their fry pansaway from the big open area and
(14:56):
all the people eating the mostdelicious food they'd ever
tasted All the way back home.
As they landed their fry pansin the front yard, their mummy
came out.
Boys, did you just fly in onfry pans?
How did you do that?
Well, said Ryder, I don't thinkyou'd believe us, even if we
told you.
And that is the end of thestory.
