Just then, a lady appeared atthe other side of the car.
Excuse me, is this theTeddywinkle taxi?
It is.
Which house is yours?
She pointed to one on the otherside of the road with the blue
door.
Oakley, you did it! Uh, what'sthe teddy bear talking about?
(04:44):
said the lady.
Never mind, said Oakley.
Jump in and we'll take you towhere you need to go.
All right, said Teddywinkle.
The lady opened the door andclimbed in the back of the taxi.
Okay, uh where can we take youtoday?
said Teddywinkle.
Well, said the lady, I need togo to my friend Janice's house.

said Teddywinkle.
(05:05):

we'll try the one in the glovebox.
The one in the glove box, saidOakley.
(05:26):
He opened it up, and all of asudden a spring popped out
straight towards him.

(06:11):
Teddywinkle turned the carmid-bounce, and the car seemed
to spin in the spot.
Alright, give us a big bouncefor this one, said Teddywinkle.

There were basketballs in someareas, and and in other places
there was a shovel and a rake, and then somewhere else there
was a little toy train thatseemed to be driving around in a

(07:57):
It is! Come on! Teddywinkle wentover to the counter.
Excuse me, can I please havethree socks and a bucket of
paint?
Oh, good selection, said the manbehind the counter.
He went behind him and pulled acouple of things off the
shelves.
He handed Teddywinkle threesocks and a funny-looking tin of
paint.
(08:17):

I hope you enjoy it, said theman.
This is not food, said Oakley.

Oakley looked at it.

Teddywinkle was already munchingon the other sock.
This is amazing, said Oakley.
Hang on, wait till you try thepaint.
Teddywinkle picked up the tin ofpaint and poured it into two
(09:02):

Oakley picked it up and had asip.
It's delicious! It tastes likeall kinds of fruits at the same
time.
It's amazing! I know, but makesure you never drink real paint.
That's really bad for you.
Oh yeah, said Oakley.
Just this one.
And it's got a very speciallabel that tells you.
(09:22):
Oakley had a look at the side, and sure enough, there was a
sign that said, Please drink.
It's so tasty.

I think it's the taxi phone!Quick, let's go! Teddywinkle and
Oakley raced back outside, andsure enough the taxi phone was
ringing.
They jumped in and answered thecall.

Oakley.
Ah, okay, said Oakley.
How do we do that?
Well, you fold down that bitthat's like over the top of your
head, the little visory thing.
So Oakley folded down the visor, and when he did, some strange
controls came out.
What are these for?
said Oakley.
(11:00):
You get to drive the taxi.
And this time it can do spinsand it can lift into the air.
That sounds like fun.

Teddywinkle started driving thetaxi.
Now pull backwards on thosecontrols, he said.
Oakley pulled backwards, andsure enough, the taxi lifted
(11:20):
into the air.
This is incredible, said Oakley.
Yeah, it's pretty cool, eh?
I want to turn, said Pimpim.
No, Pimpim! Pimpim dove over thefront seat and grabbed hold of
the controls.
The taxi started to spin.
Whoa, whoa, whoa! What'shappening?
yelled Oakley.
I am doing the driving, saidPimpim, as he kept twirling the
car around and around.
(11:41):
How do these things work?
Do I cross them over?
Pimpim crossed his hands over.
No, yelled Teddy Winkle.
And the car seemed to almostturn itself inside out.
Then it spun back round theother way.
Oh, that was fun.
Let's do that again.
No, said Teddy Winkle.
Grab him, Oakley! Oakley reachedforward and grabbed hold of the
controls.
No, it is my turn, please, saidPimpim.
No, said Oakley.
(12:01):
I don't want you to turn meinside out.
I won't turn you inside out.
They'll just turn you back tofront.
I don't want that either, saidOakley.
Oh no, I got to do it.
No, no, no.
Oakley pulled them out ofPimpim's hand, and Teddy Winkle
reached around and buckledPimpim into his seat.
You must wear seat belts at alltimes, said Teddy Winkle.
No, said Pimpim.
Oakley drove the car around theblock in the air, doing a few
(12:25):
spins and twirls as he went.
Then he lowered it down rightback in front of Pimpim's house.
Okay, Pimpim, out you get.
Thank you, said Pimpim.
That was lots of fun.
Okay, I might start my own taxiservice and start driving people

Bye, Oakley, said Pimpim.
(12:45):

Let's go the fast way.
There's one more secret aboutthis taxi I haven't told you
about yet.
What's that?
said Oakley.
It's the automatic teleportationmode.
How does that work?
Well, the car just knows whereit needs to go, and if you press
this big purple button here, ittakes you straight there.
Why didn't we just use that atthe start?
Well, that wouldn't have beenfun, said Teddywinkle.
(13:08):
Oakley laughed.
Alright, Oakley's house, saidTeddywinkle, and pressed the big
purple button.
The car disappeared in anexplosion of light, and when it
reappeared, they were back atthe front of Oakley's house.
Okay, Oakley, I'll see you nexttime.
Here, have the last sock, hesaid as he threw it to him.
Thanks, Teddywinkle.
As Oakley walked back up thedriveway towards his sock, he
(13:28):
started to chew on the sock.
His mum saw him.
Oakley, why are you chewing on asock?
she said.
