Speaker 1 (00:05):
One day a little girl
named Emily was out in her
backyard.
Now she had been looking at thebeautiful flowers and admiring
all the amazing colours.
As she was staring deeply intoone of the flowers, all of a
sudden she noticed something.
Um, what is that?
She said to herself as shelooked closer and closer and
closer.
All of a sudden, she realisedthat in the middle of one of the
(00:27):
flowers she could actually seea tiny little.
Is that a fairy?
She said to herself.
As she looked closer, she couldsee the fairy was waving.
Then something very strangehappened.
The fairy started to get biggerand bigger, and bigger and
bigger, until a full-size fairywas standing right in front of
(00:49):
Emily.
Hello, said the fairy.
Um hi, said Emily, who are you?
My name's Peach, said the fairy.
Peach, the magic fairy, I'm sopleased to meet you.
Um hi, said Emily, what are youdoing here?
Well, said Peach, I've actuallybeen to meet you.
Um hi, said Emily.
What, what are you doing here?
Well, said Peach, I've actuallybeen waiting for you.
Really, said Emily.
(01:11):
Really, said Peach.
I knew that you love flowers,so I thought what better place
to wait and see than inside theflowers?
Wow, said Emily.
It was amazing how small youcould get.
Yes, said Peach, and we can doa lot more amazing things than
that.
What do you mean?
We, said Emily.
Well, that's what I've beenwaiting for.
(01:32):
Would you like to come with meto the land of the fairies?
Really, said Emily.
Really, said Peach, I wouldlove to take you there and show
you some amazing things.
Okay, said Emily, I've just gotto check with my parents first.
So, after checking with herparents, emily came racing back
outside.
She had put on her favoritefairy dress as well.
(01:53):
Um, okay, peach, she said.
I think I'm ready.
You look ready, said Peach.
Well, almost ready.
We need to sort out one morething.
What's that, said Emily.
Peach waved her magic wand andin no time at all, emily had
beautiful wings.
Look, said Emily, they'reamazing.
Yes, they are, said Peach, butwe must get going very quickly.
(02:18):
Why, said Emily?
You'll see, said Peach, followme.
So Peach went flying off intothe air and Emily followed along
behind.
As they flew higher and higher, peach suddenly turned and headed
straight back down towards thegarden.
Peach, where are we going?
Said Emily, as she tried hardto follow.
(02:38):
You'll see, said Peach.
They were flying directly towhat looked like a very large
flower.
And as they got closer, I'mshrinking, said Emily.
Yes, said Peach, you bettershrink or else we'll be in
trouble.
Why is that, said Emily?
Keep following, said Peach.
As they shrunk.
And they shrunk, emily began torealize that that flower was
(03:01):
not a normal flower.
It was some kind of tunnel, andthey flew straight down inside
the centre of the flower.
They flew through the middle ofthe tunnel until they popped up
in a new location.
Wow, said Emily as she lookedaround.
This place is beautiful.
It was the most colourful, sparkly, amazing, beautiful
(03:24):
place that she had ever seen.
Yes, said Peach.
And I think we have made itjust in time.
Just in time for what, saidEmily.
Just then, another fairy cameflying straight over Peach.
Peach, is she ready?
Is she ready?
I think so, said Peach.
Who?
Who are you?
Said Emily.
Me, said the other fairy.
My name's Nectar.
(03:45):
Are you ready to come with me?
What said Emily?
Where are we going?
Well, said Nectar, I'm a littlebit of a different fairy.
See where Peach is allbeautiful and floaty and that
sort of thing.
I'm a lot more energetic, saidNectar.
Wow, said Emily, that soundslike fun.
Come on, said Nectar, let's go.
(04:07):
Nectar was a beautiful bluefairy.
Her wings were a lot more sharpand she seemed quite fine.
But as Emily watched, she couldsee that Nectar could do some
amazing tricks.
As Nectar flew into the air,she started spinning and
twirling and twisting andflipping all over the place.
Give it a try, said Nectar.
Okay, said Emily.
She thought she'd give it a goas well.
She tried to spin and flip.
But Emily was quite new toflying.
She still had a lot to learn.
(04:29):
But she tried her best and in alittle bit of practice she was
able to start to spin and flip, just like Nectar.
Hooray, said Nectar, I thinkyou're ready.
Ready for what, said Emily?
Come on, said Nectar.
As Emily flew along behindNectar, they started to fly
towards some kind ofstrange-looking flower patch.
(04:49):
When they got closer, emily hada very good look.
Um, nectar, are those flowersalive?
Well, all flowers are alive, said Nectar.
I mean, are they?
Hello, is this the girl?
Said one of the flowers?
Yes, it is, said Nectar.
Um, did that flower just speak, said Emily.
Of course I spoke.
(05:10):
All flowers can speak if youlisten carefully.
Really, said Emily.
Really, said the flower.
But are you the girl?
Um, maybe, said Emily, not, maybe, said Nectar.
Definitely, oh well, definitelyI'm the girl, said Emily, still
not entirely convinced.
Fantastic, said the flower.
Okay, well, I'll get all theother flowers ready, ready for
(05:33):
what?
Said Emily.
Nobody's telling me what'sgoing on.
That's because we generally tryto keep it just a surprise.
But you will know very, veryshortly, said the flower.
Um, okay, said Emily, stillfeeling a little bit nervous as
she watched.
All the flowers in the amazingflower patch started to do some
strange things.
Are they setting up some kindof obstacle course?
(05:55):
Said Emily.
They are, said Nectar.
That's why we were practicingour flipping and spinning and
twirling.
Oh okay, said Emily.
Yes, said Nectar, we're goingto see if you can be the new
record holder for the flowerpatch obstacle course.
Um, I'll give it my best, saidEmily.
That's all you can do, saidNectar.
(06:16):
All right, see that flower overthere.
That kind of looks like abutton.
Um, I do, said Emily.
Well, what you do is that'swhere you start from.
When you press the button, thetimer starts and you need to get
all the way through the flowerpatch, collect the special seed
at the end and get all the wayback out here.
Oh okay, said Emily, I'll giveit a go.
(06:39):
Are you ready, said Nectar.
Emily slowly flew over to thespecial button-looking flower.
Let's do it, she said Hooray, said Nectar.
All right, ready, set, pressthat button.
Beep.
As Emily pressed the button, abeeping noise came out of the
flower.
It was quite strange, but sheknew that she had to go as
(07:01):
quickly as she could.
She started flying directlytowards the amazing flower patch
in front of her.
It looked very pretty, but thenall the flowers started to move
.
There was leaves flying aroundthe place and petals zooming
through the sky.
These petals looked like littleprojectiles that were zooming
straight past her.
Wow, said Emily as she dove outof the way, twisting and
(07:23):
twirling, trying not to get hitby all the flying petals.
Get her, get her, get her, yelled all the flowers as they
started trying to catch Emily asshe was going through With
their stems and their stomas.
They did everything they couldto try and catch her.
But Emily was ready.
She had been practicing herflying and she could do new
tricks.
She tried something new thistime instead of just a spin and
(07:46):
a twirl, she tried to do bothspinning, twirling and tumble
rolling at the same time.
It was so amazing that theflowers almost paused in
disbelief.
They watched her flip her wayall the way through the flower
patch, diving and twisting underpetals, over stems, and all the
way to the end she grabbed holdof the seed.
She's got the seed already, said one of the flowers.
(08:08):
We need to stop her.
They all turned and they lookedat her, very flowery,
ferociously.
It didn't look that scary, butit was almost kind of scary.
Emily looked very closely.
She was coming up with a planwhen all of a sudden Nectar flew
in from the side.
Hey, emily, did you know thesecret of the seed?
(08:28):
What, said Emily?
Have a look.
She looked at the seed verycarefully and she could see some
kind of strange powder all overit.
What's this, she said.
Put some on your wings, saidNectar.
Okay, said Emily.
So she wiped some of the powderthat was on the seed onto her
wings and when she did, shecould feel her wings starting to
tingle.
(08:48):
Whoa, this is spectacular, saidEmily.
Now fly back through thoseflowers, said Nectar, and set a
new record.
Okay, said Emily.
And with that she took off.
This powder had some kind ofsuper special, super speed
magnificence to it.
(09:08):
As she started to fly, theflowers could not even get close
.
She felt like she was almost inslow motion as she moved her
way back through the flowers.
Everywhere she flew she couldtell which direction the flowers
were going to move next, shecould tell where any petal was
going to be coming from.
It was almost like she wasdancing an amazing ballet dance
(09:30):
with speed and grace rightthrough the middle of the entire
flower patch.
As she burst out the other sideand flew straight towards the
button, she pressed it with onefinger, holding the seed over
her head.
Boop, boop, boop.
Seed over her head, said thebutton.
And emily looked back at theflowers.
They were all completelystunned in amazement, and then
(09:55):
they began to cheer, yelled allthe flowers, and as they
cheeredful pollen blasted intothe air like fireworks, but
instead of just being abeautiful set of colours, it
exploded into even more colours.
It's amazing, said Emily.
Yes, it is, said Nectar, I'm soglad that you came.
(10:18):
I've never seen someone fly sofast before.
Thanks, said Emily, it was somuch fun.
As they were talking andcheering and celebrating
together, peach flew down towhere they were.
Well, said Peach, I think it'sbest time that we got you home.
Yeah, said Emily, this has beenso much fun, though.
Thank you so much, everybody.
(10:38):
You're welcome, said theflowers.
Yeah, said Nectar, you'rewelcome.
I think you're the most amazingfairy that we've ever seen.
I love the way you fly.
Thanks, said Emily, I've had somuch fun.
Well, said Peach, we best beoff.
Come on, let's go.
Bye.
Everybody called Emily, bye.
(10:58):
They all called.
And as Emily and Peach flew backup into the air, peach had to
try and fly her fastest to keepup with Emily.
Wow, said Peach, you are sofast.
Yeah, said Emily, I think it'sthat powder from that special
seed.
Ah, yes, said Peach, it'samazing, isn't it?
As they flew back out thespecial flower and into the air,
(11:19):
they zoomed back down towardsthe back door of Emily's house,
into the air.
They zoom back down towards theback door of Emily's house.
Well, said Peach, I hope you'vehad a fantastic day.
Now remember, keep those wingshidden unless no one else is
looking.
Really, said Emily, I get tokeep the wings.
Yes, said Peach, and to keepthem hidden.
If you click your fingers threetimes, they will go invisible,
(11:41):
really.
Let me try times they will goinvisible, really.
Let me try.
And Emily's wings disappeared.
That is amazing.
Okay, thanks, peach, said Emily.
You're welcome, said Peach, seeyou later, she said as she flew
off back into the sky.
As Emily walked back inside, shewas so, so happy she could
(12:04):
almost leap for joy.
Her mum was inside waiting.
Um, emily, said her mum.
Yes, said Emily.
Why are you floating off theground?
Emily looked down and realisedshe must have been accidentally
flying.
Um well, said Emily.
I don't think you'd believe me,even if I told you.
And that is the end of thestory.
