I'm Stephen Devincenzi. Today is Monday, the thirteenth of October
twenty twenty five. Starting in Asia today in Palestine, hundreds

of thousands of people in Gaza have returned to their
homes or the ruins of their homes after a ceasefire
began on Friday. Reports from Gaza appear to show that
the ceasefire is working. There was an increase in aid
deliveries yesterday and there are expected to be bigger increases

(00:44):
in aid deliveries today and tomorrow. Italy's Defense Minister Guido
Crosseto has said that the Rafa border crossing between Egypt
and Gaza would reopen tomorrow but would remain controlled by Israel.
Well Hamas is expected to start to release Israeli hostages today.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, which is run by Hamas,
over sixty seven thousand Palestinians have been killed in the
last two years of war. In Egypt, President abdel Fatta
Alcisi and United States President Donald Trump are expected to
host a Gaza peace summit today in the coastal resort

and also the UK, Italy, Spain, and France are believed

killed himself. Roi Shalev survived being shot in the leg
by Hamas attackers at the festival, but his girlfriend and
best friend were murdered in front of him while all
of them were hiding under a car Shalev posted on

social media that he could not go on. More than
three hundred and seventy young people were randomly killed at
the Nova Music festival in Japan. The party Komehito has
said that it is leaving the governing coalition. Last week,
Sanai Takaichi was chosen by the ruling Liberal Democratic Party

to be its new leader, and it was expected that
she would become Japan's first ever female prime minister. However,
now it is not clear what will happen, as the
LDP does not have enough votes by itself to confirm
Takaichi as prime minister. Afghanistan's Taliban and Pakistani security forces

have fired heavy weapons at each other along the Afghanistan
Pakistan border. The Taliban have accused Pakistan of conducting air
strikes in Afghan territory, including in the capital Kuble, over
the last few days. Pakistan accuses the Taliban of providing
a launching ground for Islamist militants the carry out attacks

inside Pakistan Europe. In Ukraine, over the last few days,
Russian drone and missile attacks have killed civilians across Ukraine.
On Saturday, two people were killed when an air strike
hit a church in Donnet's region. A seven year old

spent three years in Russian captivity before only recently being
returned to his family. Attacks on Ukrainian power generation have

a drone, according to the Energy Ministry. On Saturday, Ukraine

In France, President Emmanuel Macron reappointed Sebastian Lecornu as prime
minister on Friday, days after Lecornu resigned and his government collapsed.

Bloc have said that they plan to vote him out
in a vote of no confidence when possible Africa. In Madagascar,

In Peru, President Dina Bolouarte has been removed from power
by Congress after a vote to impeach her. Boloarte has
been described as the world's most unpopular leader, as polls
often showed her having an approval rating of between two
and five percent. The head of Peru's Congress, Jose Jerry,

has been sworn in as transitional president, and Venezuelan opposition
leader Maria Corina Machado was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
on Friday, with the Norwegian Nobel Committee saying that she
was awarded the prize for her quote tireless work promoting

democratic rights for the people of Venezuela end quote. This
was the moment that Machado was told she had won
the prize.
