Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning. This is sen seven World News in seven minutes.
I'm Juliet Martin and today is Thursday, the twentieth of
November twenty twenty five. We start in Europe today in Ukraine,

(00:29):
at least twenty five people have been killed in a
drone and missile attack that hit apartment buildings. According to officials,
Russia fired four hundred and seventy six drones and forty
eight missiles at Ukraine. According to reports, around eighty people

(00:52):
were injured and energy and transport infrastructure was hit. Russia
denies deliberately targeting civilians. Poland will close its last Russian consulate.
It will also deploy thousands of soldiers to protect infrastructure.

(01:15):
This follows an explosion on the railway line from Warsaw
at the weekend. Foreign Minister Radislav Sikorski said the incident
was not only an act of sabotage, but also an
act of state terrorism. Russia has said it regrets Poland's decision.

(01:39):
In North Macedonia, the trial over the nightclub fire in
March began yesterday. More than thirty people are accused of
public safety offenses related to the incident, which killed sixty
three people. The accused faith sentence is between ten years

(02:02):
and life in prison. The Americas, the United States Justice
Department will release files from its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein
within thirty days following a Congress vote. Congress voted almost

(02:25):
unanimously to make the documents public. They could include information
on convicted sex offender Epstein's activities, including socializing with President
Donald Trump and other powerful figures. United States Attorney General
Pam Bondi announced that the files would be released and

(02:49):
said the Justice Department would ensure maximum transparency.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
So we have released thirty three thousand, over thirty three
thousand Epstein documents to the Hill and will continue to
follow the law and to have maximum transparency. Also, we
will always encourage all victims to come forward.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Canada will increase its funding to the European Space Agency
by five hundred and twenty eight point five million Canadian dollars,
ten times more than its previous investments. The money will
be spent over three to five years on projects including

(03:35):
satellite communications, earth observation, space exploration, positioning, navigation and timing,
and space situational awareness. In Chile, five tourists have died
in the Torres del Pane National Park in Patagonia. The

(03:57):
tourists had become lost in a snowstorm, which caused white
out conditions and wind speeds over one hundred and twenty
miles per hour Asia and Oceania. In Japan, more than
one hundred and seventy buildings have been destroyed and one

(04:22):
person has been killed in a fire in Oua City.
This is the largest fire in a Japanese city in
almost fifty years. It has burned forty eight thousand, nine
hundred square meters, according to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency.

(04:42):
The cause of the fire is being investigated. In Vietnam,
at least eight people have been killed in floods and
landslides caused by torrential rain. According to the government, since
the weekend, more than one one hundred millimeters of rain

(05:03):
has fallen in some areas. The thuds could also damage
the coffee harvest. The government warned. New Zealand will ban
new prescriptions of puberty blocking drugs for young transgender people.
Doctors will no longer be able to prescribe the drugs

(05:25):
for gender dysphoria or incongruence from the nineteenth of December.
Critics say the ban could damage the lives and well
being of transgender people Africa. In Tunisia, thousands of doctors
went on strike yesterday. They are demanding higher pay and

(05:51):
say that the health system is in danger of collapsing.
Protesters gathered near parliament holding signs that said dignity for
doctors and save our hospitals. They say doctors have low wages,
outdated equipment and a shortage of essential supplies. And in Egypt,

(06:16):
restorers are reconstructing a historic village in the capital Cairo.
They are dismantling houses and rebuilding them with historic materials
in a neighborhood under the Citadel, which is more than
eight hundred years old. The project aims to build livable

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
