August twenty twenty five, starting in the Americas. In Colombia,

Senator Miguel Uribe, who planned to run in twenty twenty
six's presidential election, has died after being shot in the
head at a campaign event two months ago. United States
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States stands

in solidarity with his family the Colombian people, both in
mourning and demanding justice for those responsible. Six people are
under arrest over the attack. In Brazil, President Luis Initio
Lula da Silva spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday,

according to the Presidential Palace. The palace said the leaders
discussed peace efforts between Russia and Ukraine and their cooperation
in the Bricks Group of countries Africa. In Nigeria, five

men have been arraigned in the case surrounding an attack
on a Catholic church in twenty twenty two, where at
least fifty people were killed and over one hundred wounded.
The five suspects have been charged under Nigeria's terrorism law.

the United Nations General Assembly in September, Australia will recognize
the state of Palestine. Australia will recognize the ride of
the Palestinian people to a state of their own, predicated
on the commitments Australia has received from the Palestinian Authority.

We will work with the international community to make this
right a reality.

Canada and Britain have both said they will recognize a
Palestinian state at the General Assembly. New Zealand is also
considering recognition, according to the Foreign Ministry. South Korea and
Vietnam have agreed to deepen economic cooperation. According to General

countries agreed to increase trade to one hundred and fifty
