I'm nilmore. Today is Tuesday, the twenty fifth of November
twenty twenty five. Today we're starting in Europe in Switzerland.

Talks took place yesterday between United States and Ukrainian diplomats
over a peace plan written last week by the US
and Russia. At the time of recording this podcast, it
is not known exactly what came out of the talks,
but according to the Guardian newspaper, some of the proposals

that were beneficial to Russia have been removed, so that
the original twenty eight point plan now includes only nineteen points.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the talks
were quote very very positive, and US President Donald Trump

posted on social media that quote something good just may
be happening. Coinciding with the talks, Ukraine's President Vladimir Zelenski
urged Ukraine supporters to help him negotiate a peace plan
that does not give Russia what it wants.

are working closely with the United States, with European partners,
with many many others to define steps that can end
Russia's war against us, against Ukraine and bring real security,

put in once legal recognition for what he has stolen,
to bring the principle territorial integrity and sovereignty. And that's
the main problem. You all understand what that means. He
wants it not only from Ukraine, he wants it from

Slovenia has rejected a proposal to legalize assisted dying for
terminally ill adults. In a national referendum, fifty three percent
voted against the proposal, while forty six percent voted for it. Africa,

Cameroon's opposition leader Isa Cheromo Bakari has fled to the
Gambia to escape a government crackdown against protests following last
month's election. On October twelfth, Paul Biya, aged ninety two,
won his eighth term as Cameroon's president. Isa Cheroma Bikari

claims that the election result was fixed and that he
actually won and called on Cameroonians to protest. Many people
did protest, leading to a violent reaction from President Biya,
whose security forces killed forty eight protesters. According to the

United Nations. Bakari went into hiding and it was unknown
where he was until the government of the Gambia announced
yesterday that they were hosting him in their country quote
for the purpose of ensuring his safety. In South Africa,
the daughter of former President Jacob Zuma has accused her

sister of tricking South African men into fighting for Russia
against Ukraine. Unkosazana Zuma Unkube says that her younger sister,
Duduzile Zuma Sambudla, who is a South African member of parliament,
tricked seventeen men into fighting for Russian mercenaries by telling

them that they were traveling to Russia to train as bodyguards.
When they got to Russia, they were then made to
fight in the Donbas in Ukraine. Americas, the United States
has officially labeled Venezuelan leader Nicholas Maduro and many of

his top military and political officials as a foreign terrorist organization.
Once a group has been labeled as a foreign terrorist
organization by the US, US law gives the government more
options for military strikes against that group, meaning President Trump

ku and authorized military strikes within Venezuela. Seventy percent of
Americans are against the US taking military action in Venezuela.
According to a new opinion poll by CBS News and YUGOV.
In Jamaica, the reggae legend Jimmy Cliff has died at

the age of eighty one. Jimmy Cliff was an early
star of reggae music and seen as one of the
performers alongside Bob Marley, who brought the reggae music genre
to the world. His most famous songs include Wonderful World,
Beautiful People, and you Can Get It If You Really Want.

He also starred in a hit Jamaican film, The Harder
They Come in nineteen seventy one, where he played an
outlaw trying to make it in the music business. Responding
to news of Cliff's death, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness
called him quote a true cultural giant whose music carried

the heart of our nation to the world. Jimmy Cliff
told our story with honesty and soul. Asia. In South Korea,
a thirty three year old man has been sentenced to
life in prison for leading an online sexual abuse gang.

Kim Knock One was the head of a gang called
the Vigilantes, who exploited and abused two hundred and sixty
one victims over five years including many children. Kim and
his gang videoed or took photographs of sexual assaults and

used them to blackmail victims and their families on line.
When sentencing Kim, the court said that quote, considering the
brutality of his crimes, it is necessary to permanently isolate
him from society. Ten other people who were part of

Kim's gang were also given prison sentences. In Pakistan, two
suicide bombers have attacked the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary,
a paramilitary group in the city of Peshwar, killing three
security officials and injuring at least twelve other people. The

suicide bombers have not yet been identified and no group
has claimed responsibility for the attack. And in Japan, Di
Nilo Yavashishin has become the first Ukrainian to win a
sumo tournament in the country. The t twenty one year
old Ukrainian who uses the name Aynashiki Arata when he

wrestles one the Kyushu Sumo tournament by defeating the grand
champion Hoshurayu from Mongolia. Danilo Yavashishin only arrived in Japan
three years ago after fleeing the war in Ukraine. The
Japan Sumo Association will soon hold a special meeting to

promote him to ozeki, the second highest rank under yokozuna
