E28: I AM THE LIFE WORTH LIVING

In this episode I share a journaling excerpt from a time in my life when my personal identity was tied to my career. We can all find ourselves tying our personal worth to external measurements found in how we operate in the world around us. But everything in this world can be taken away. When we wrap up our own personal value into the things of this world, such as a job, relationship, or social status, it sets us up to have an identity crisis when that thing gets taken away. God invites us to find our identity, worth and value in Him. Every one of us is of infinite value to God, regardless of our circumstances in life. When we can recognize this and allow God to untangle our identity from everything else, it brings a new level of freedom. The life worth living is lived in full connection with God, and that can never be taken away.

Why do you stress and strive and fill your time with things that will quickly pass away?

• This is my will and plan for you, my child. Not to stress and strive for things that will soon pass away, but rather to live in light of eternity.

• Yes, my child, let go of what hinders and distracts. Grab hold of my plans and promises. Go all in. Live for me, my child. Do my work. Follow this path I have set before you. Run this race. Win the prize. Yes, my child, I am your prize and I desire to give you all of me. I desire to fill you with my glorious Presence to a degree you have never known.
