Welcome to another great episode of the Sing Second podcast. We bring you the stories and happenings at the Naval Academy and the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation (AA&F). We have another Podcast Collab this week as we take the pod to Dry 85 on Main Street with Josh. He and classmate Adam Hudson have started their own podcast appropriately called the 20:06 Podcast. They just interviewed their classmate, paralympian and distinguished graduate Brad Snyder. It’s great. More importantly, Josh and John talk about the 10 year anniversary of the death of his classmate Stanford “Ford” Shaw ‘06. Josh retires from the Navy this Friday, so we also talk a bit about the transition and the advice he has for alums in his position getting out of the service. Chris and John also talk about the retirement of Chet Gladchuk, a visit to the yard by SECDEF and SECNAV, and our recent Volunteer Leader Summit. That and more on the best Alumni Association and Foundation podcast there is. Give a listen. Beat Army...always.

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose.
