In today's podcast, we discuss ways to overcome loneliness. Tune in for trends in American friendship and also insights on how to overcome feeling lonely. We hope this is meaningful especially during this holiday season.
Life as a single parent is FILLED with activity. From children's appointments and schedules to our own, we hop from one place to another with work, school, errands, and more. Still, many feel alone and lonely despite all the activity in their lives.
In fact, there has been a survey done revealing that there is an actual decline in close friendships across the US population, and that loneliness is a real concern for single parents, their children, and many others who are isolated in some fashion.
We walk through overcoming loneliness when we lose a lifemate, change jobs, or endure illness or anxiety of some kind. In the end, we agree, that while there are many ways to be active, this does not replace authentic, two-way connection ... the time we invest in relationships is likely the most important thing we can do to ensure a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
