On November 24th, 1971 he hijacked Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305. Surprisingly he was actually a somewhat pleasant hijacker as he was accommodating to the flight staff’s concerns and he did not physically harm anyone during his crime. He demanded $200,000 in cash and several parachutes before his escape. He escaped by jumping from the Boeing 727 aircraft, mid-flight, after he lowered the onboard staircase, never to be seen again.
