Elon and Trump

Republican presidential candidate and former President of The United States, Donald Trump sat on Monday, August 12th, for a friendly two-hour interview with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk on Musk's social media platform X. The interview pulled in a combined 1 billion views, according to the tech billionaire, who has now offered to host Vice President Kamala Harris for a similar X chat.

Immigration

The US border is at a breaking point. Last year, roughly 3.2 million desperate people have tried to get through illegally to the United States from Mexico. The ongoing migrant crisis is unprecedented, both in scale and the impact it has had beyond the border states to cities located deep within the country.

Abortion

The debate in the United States on a woman’s right to abortion has raged on for decades and is as divisive as ever. For conservatives, it is about religious values and the country's future as a Christian nation. For progressives and many moderates, it is about individual rights. Is there still room for compromise among the two camps on abortion and other values- and lifestyle-based issues.

Religion

Freedom of religion is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. But the role that religious beliefs should play in public life has never been more contentious. Racism

As transgender people have increasingly gained acceptance and visibility, conservative lawmakers have zeroed in on restricting their rights: keeping transgender children off girls’ sports teams and out of certain bathrooms, and blocking them from receiving gender-affirming medical care.
