This week we got to sit down with an absolute legend in the fixed gear cycling space, James Grady. James is the founder of Mission Crit that was a popular fixed gear criterium race in San Francisco that drew crowds of thousands before the pandemic in 2020.
After that, James went on to lead the Red Bull Bay Climb and Red Bull Short Circuit. This event was highly successful and was proof of concept that cycling fans around the world are looking for something engaging, action packed, and spectator friendly.
In this episode we talked about when James found his love for bikes, how that developed over time, and how he eventually become a community leader and dedicated cycling event organizer. James and his wife Clare are now the co-founders of Formula Fixed. This series aims to grow larger than ever before and bring cycling to stadiums worldwide.
We are super excited to bring you this exclusive chat with James (and Clare) Grady and we hope that you all enjoy this conversation as much as we did.
