Rebel (00:00):
Hey what's up, everybody,
welcome to skate day. Hopefully
(00:12):
you can actually see us. I'mreally hoping that this actually
worked and we're on the YouTubegot not just audio.
Shove (00:20):
Yeah, I actually got
dressed up last time and this
time I'm like, I'll throw a wigin a shirt on. Anyways. Hello.
Welcome to skate day.
Rebel (00:26):
Hi, I'm rebel. I'm shove
and together we are shovel. Can
you dig it?
Shove (00:34):
Okay, Dave has a podcast
brought to you by two roller
skaters that fell in love it.
And we like talking about thereal world in the will world.
Yeah,
Rebel (00:44):
all the things. So today,
it is our second episode back
and our first visual episodeback. And we are so excited.
Today we are going to talk aboutwhat we can talk about. I don't
know. We're gonna talk about,
Shove (01:01):
we're gonna talk about
working out. And we're
Rebel (01:04):
also going to talk about
how rollerskating is kind of
plateauing. And we're going totalk about some obsessions that
we currently have. Are you readyto jump right into it?
Shove (01:16):
Yes.
Rebel (01:17):
Okay,
Unknown (01:18):
so
Rebel (01:19):
for people are watching
on the YouTube I feel like you
just need like a quick littleupdate. If you want to listen to
like a full on update. It's onthe audio podcast anyway. You
can stream podcasts. But we areback. Yay. Congratulations to us
for getting our act together andbeing back. And we are now every
(01:40):
two weeks podcast instead ofevery week because every week
was not sustainable with ourlifestyle whereby she's a
lesbian. All right. Shove hatesthis music so much. Maybe
listening to it will cause youto research some new music.
Shove (02:05):
I don't hate it. I'm the
one that shows in the first
place. I was just like wonderingfreshener. Also I am currently I
see my knee.
Rebel (02:13):
Yeah, why are you icing
your knee? What's going on
Shove (02:16):
my knees just you know, a
little stress and another
episode of more detail about it.
But just you know, one of thosethings about getting older and
having some previous injuries.
But that's gonna go perfectlyuntil why I started working out
Rebel (02:33):
older wiser and full of
arthritis.
Shove (02:37):
I'm rebel and I have both
started being more active.
Mostly me my life
Rebel (02:44):
that you're saying that
we've both become more active?
Because I felt like
Shove (02:47):
if I said it was me, I've
gone to four classes. More than
four classes. Okay, fiveclasses. Okay, so I started
working now. I just finished Ijust started week six. And I am
not like oh my god running anddoing cardio and trying to lose
(03:08):
weight. So don't freak outpeople. I am strength training.
So I've been going hard in theweight department like I'm
lifting weights now. I was justI started in the machines to
like, ease into it. And then Iwas like, You know what, I'm
going to the world as beefcakesare because I want to be a
beefcake and my own space, whichwas has been very powerful for
(03:30):
me. How long have you beenworking on him?
Rebel (03:33):
Um, no, I started going
to work classes and classes.
Well, okay, that's minimizingwhat I've been doing. So I
decided to sign up for a thingwhere I could go to a bunch of
different classes and find astudio that I connected with.
And I'm so excited, I did find astudio that I absolutely am in
(03:56):
love with. And basically I'mtaking classes so like dance
classes and stuff like that. I'mtaking like strip teams, classes
and dance classes. I took aburlesque class, I took a muay
thai class, which I hated. Itook I've taken a couple of
flexibility classes. So I'm justlike taking classes, which is
(04:17):
great for my ADHD. And I justlike low key high key do not
like working out like at all, Ithink working out is the worst.
So I have to trick my body intoworking out which is why
rollerskating works for me. ButI wanted a little bit of
variation in what I did to movemy body. And so yeah, so I
(04:42):
really am trying to get intoburlesque performing. And so I'm
taking classes to like learnskills, but also to get in shape
and be able to like move my bodyand be flexible and all that
kind of stuff.
Shove (04:58):
And both ways are so
valid. I have just been in
movement just like skating is.
And sometimes skating isn'tenough, especially if like,
depending on what the weather islike, where you live your
schedule and everything. For me,part of the reason I'm weight
training is to become a strongerskater again, the strongest I
ever was, was when I was inDerby and doing CrossFit. But
(05:19):
like CrossFit, like my heart wasnever into it. The only part I
liked about it was the weightseven then. And I just want to
throw a trigger warning becausein case it comes out like that
could be talking bodydysmorphia, and EDS. So there's
the little chair warning that, for me, what's really cool is
like this is the first timelike, I've gone to a gym to gain
(05:40):
weight in a way like, or like,it's weird, like I'm doing body
recomp, which was recomposition, which I want to
like, mold a lot of my fat intomuscle. So it's not really
necessarily about losing inches, like, it's just like changing
the shape. And what the matterthat's within me, because I want
(06:01):
to be super strong, I want tolike fall and pop back up again.
And especially because I didfind that I have arthritis and
an old injury in my knee thathas effect made it worse. So my
bone is like rubbing on bonehere. And it's really painful.
And so building muscle aroundthat can really help with
arthritis. So that is like mymain goal because I want to
(06:23):
escape for not just a good time, but for a long time. And I just
want to like I don't know, likethere's something like really
powerful about like, picking upsomething heavy and like pushing
yourself to like, do as manyreps as possible. Like I just
really, really love it. And itkind of gives me like the same
feeling stuff. And I love thatdirty, so I like it.
Rebel (06:44):
I also told her that she
asked to carry me over the
threshold when we get married.
She did say that. So she has tobe able to lift 200 And
something pounds. Yes, in a yearand a half.
Shove (06:58):
Got it. Excellent. I
could deadlift you across the
threshold easily right now.
Yeah, but that's
Rebel (07:03):
weird and not romantic.
So we need something that's morereally. Um, I just think it
would be better if you helped melike
Shove (07:13):
piggyback I'd be kind of
cute. And then I like run into
the room.
Rebel (07:19):
That would be cute. But I
think it'd be even cuter if you
helped me like this, like go
Shove (07:23):
dainty little princess
heteronormative dreams,
Rebel (07:30):
like not at all. At the
same time. Yeah, I definitely, I
feel like there has been so muchtime that I've just not move my
body like I was in a work fromhome job actually, I'm still in
a work from I'm just in workfrom home life. And I just found
(07:53):
myself constantly being at mycomputer and like, I'm not
standing as much I'm not walkingaround as much. And so I've just
felt very stagnant and feltvery, like my muscles aren't
even moving. Like my flexibilityis getting worse and like my
movement is getting worse. And Ijust feel like I'm like becoming
(08:14):
a statue. And I don't want to bethat anymore. So that's why I
was like, I'm going to do this.
This is something I want to do.
I tried like doing some classes, but some of them I really did
not like because it was like, doit was like a ballet class. But
really, they had to do a bunchof situps. And I was like I want
to learn ballet. I don'tunderstand why we're doing
Unknown (08:37):
set up. We're
Shove (08:37):
so different. I've been
going even more hard in the
paint since I started with mycoworkers. And like Moxie has
been giving us kind of like thisbonus of like an add on of like,
oh, like just awesome, amazinggym membership. And it's like,
it's something that like I neverin my mind can see myself going
like I saw this gym when I wouldlike skate the beach path and be
(09:00):
like, Look at this bougie assdrink of the gym, like on the
beach with their like high techmachinery and there's a coffee
shop like what the rich hell.
And actually, if I'm not I waslike, cheaper than some le
fitnesses and stuff because it'slike, I was like, Well, it's
actually pretty affordable.
Don't understand how they'reable to swing that. But like to
(09:21):
the point where it's like stillsomething I necessarily would
not want to pay. Because I'dhave to like change my lifestyle
to fit that in. But yeah, likeMoxie went ahead and like got
the employee's gym memberships.
And like, we've been goingnonstop since we got them like
it started with like yogaclasses because there's so many
classes there too, which ispretty cool. I've only tried the
yoga ones but I think next monthwe'll look into other things.
(09:44):
And then my best friend andDerby wife Healy signed up and
now me and her have been goinglike five times a week and we
have a whole plan and we walk inand we're just like yeah, we got
it and sometimes there is like30 Push or like push setups and
all these things I know rebelwould be like, I hate this. And
for me, I'm just like, go, gogo. And then like, we're so
(10:05):
like, hyper focused on meetingthe goal that like when we're
done or like, oh, it's been anhour, it's been an hour, 15
minutes, it doesn't even feellike it. And I feel like for
you, you'd be like, it's calledgoing backwards. Can we stop?
Yeah,
Rebel (10:18):
it does not motivate me
at all whatsoever. Not even a
little bit. Like, I just, Icannot seem to talk myself into
being interested in it.
Shove (10:29):
Um, I did a post the
beginning of the year where I
was like talking about what it'slike to be a fat person and
like, talking about working outand things like that. And like
the judgment that go into it isso deep, because there can be
that fear of being fat and goingto the gym, which is like
ridiculous, because people bullyyou about how you need to work
(10:51):
out. And then you go to workoutand then you get stared out,
like, what are you doing here?
And it's like damned if you dodamned if you don't. And I
didn't say the name of theperson in the post with the
person that asked me thequestion. It was. It was Astro,
Michelle said like randomly. Wewere talking about like, health
and fitness and like, whatever.
And like, we can be very bluntand like candid with each other.
(11:13):
So she said like, are you afraidof losing weight? And I knew why
she was asking him it wasn'tbecause like anything like
weird, a bad connotation. It'sbecause she sees that like,
being fat is like, my life. Itis like my brand name at this
point, like I am fat girl aslong as he so of course, like,
is there a fear of like, becoming skinny? And then like
(11:36):
not having all these things Ihave and not knowing who I am.
And for me, it was like notreally, because when I've always
been overweight no matter whatit's just like different sizes
of that. But it was just like, also, like, I'm more than my
fat. And I know that as well.
And like I'm not like if I wasto workout in which now it was
before it was and I am like,it's not to lose weight, which
(11:57):
is great. Like, it's crazy toknow, like my relationship with
my body right now is prettygreat. Like I was really worried
about getting triggered withlike, weighing myself every day
or like wanting to start crossdieting and wanting to count
calories. Like my friend Haleymentioned that like, oh, when
you start counting, I'm ecologyand I was like no, like that is
(12:18):
a slippery slope. That will betriggering for me. Like, I'm
just gonna keep my same likeeating habits for now. I do want
to look into diet like one stepat a time, because I throw
myself all in there. I alreadyknow like, it will go too far.
Rebel (12:34):
Yeah, for sure. I think
that that's a really interesting
discussion about like, oh, fatgirl has Moxie in your
relationship with your body andwith your fat. I think that some
people narrow you down to justbeing a fat person. Yeah. And I
think that that's another thingthat you like reclaiming your
social media, media. And likereclaiming ownership over your
(12:58):
own image is about to like, youknow that you're so much more
than just a fat girl. Yeah. Andso many people don't know that
about you, or the theater. Yeah, they don't know more. They might
know that you are more thanthat. But they don't know what
else exists. And there's so muchto you.
Shove (13:18):
It's like you're queer,
and you're a skater and you're
fat and a skater and that's inthe story. That's nothing else
to say.
Rebel (13:24):
Yeah, like the adventures
of Claire girl on fat girl are
like, much more beyond justbeing queer and being because
technically, we're both queerand fat.
Shove (13:34):
Let's do but with the way
I don't know. Like, it's crazy,
because like, I feel likesometimes for me anyways, it's
always been like, I put on myroller skates. And I go to I
takes me a while like, it's mynerves, but also my body needs
like warm up a little bit. Andit takes me a while but like the
last two times I put on skates,it was just like, lace up, stand
(13:58):
up and go and I just feltalready warmed up because like
the muscles are coming back. AndI can't wait to see how much
like my roller skating doesimprove as the stronger I get.
And one of the main things I amtraining for, I want to get the
strength for is participating inthe LA Marathon, which I haven't
(14:19):
done in years. I've done ittwice before. It's 25 miles at
3am in the morning. It took me Ithink five hours the first time
in four and a half hours thesecond time. It's it's really
hard. It's a lot of uphill. It'sa lot of sketch streets. It's
all of La it's from Chinatownall the way to Santa Monica
Pier. And especially with likemy busted me is going to be a
(14:43):
challenge. So like I'm reallytrying to get my body in that
like, and it's something I wantto do for me because it's 2020
me and it's like one of my goalsis to be like I fucking skinny
that marathon like I'm 36 and Ican still do it.
Rebel (14:57):
Yeah, I can't believe
that I'm missing Yet again, like
and I have yet to actually doit. It's because it falls so
close to my birthday. So there'salways too many things going on
for me. And then the one yearthat I tried to go, it was like
raining. And I was like doing.
So I don't know, I feel likeworking out like, Do you have a
Do you have a favorite part likea favorite day, like a leg day
(15:21):
or like arm day?
Shove (15:24):
Oh, okay, so leg day is
total hell and like the thing
I'm doing right now I'm like,oh, fuck leg day. But the leg
press that I do. I'm like, didthat one because right now I can
do 310 pounds. And I can likeput and I'm like talking about
like, I have to, like, make thatsound. And there's just
(15:49):
something so like animalisticand just like strong and like,
feel like the willpower and I mybreathing has to be right in my
positioning like, and it justlike, everything else goes away.
I think it's very like kind oflike roller skating like, it's
not on, I'm in my body. And it'sthe only thing I'm thinking it's
just like me, me and my body andtrying to push through. And I
(16:09):
think that's why I like it somuch is like is that same kind
of feeling like I'm putting mybody to the maximum doing
something and there's no nothingelse exists in the world in that
moment. So I really liked thatone. Working on leg press with
like day, but not actual legday. And arm and arm and chest
day can be fun too, because Ifeel like I have like the
(16:29):
dumbbell and the barbell. And Ijust feel like really cool.
Like, I look like one of thebeefy guys, when I'm working.
And I'm not gonna lie sometimesI'm like going and I'm doing my
reps and I look at the guy nextto me looks like super buff. And
like he's doing less weightsthan me and it gives me like
this little like, Haha, likescrew gender roles, like I can
(16:50):
be strong too. Like, justbecause I'm fat doesn't mean I'm
not strong. And I think thatsurprises a lot of people just
like when I won the armwrestling against like Michelle
and even a guy like the quadcup. It was just like, I know,
when people look at me, they'relike, just think I was just
like, yeah, she's big, butwhatever. But it's like, like,
I'm naturally.
Unknown (17:11):
Let me tell you a story
Rebel (17:12):
about shove. So shove I
mean, we so we started roller
derby together. And when shovewas in roller derby. She'll tell
you the story, too. They werelike so excited when shove
walked in the door, right? Theysaw Shep and they were like be
our blocker be our blocker rightnow. She was like, I don't know
(17:33):
how to skate yet. And they werelike, No, it doesn't matter. And
so, like in fresh meat, theywould pull her out and have her
block against people who wereway advanced and just have the
advanced people try and hit heroff the course. And no one could
like, they would have us freshmeat go against her and we just
bounce off. Like, we're justlike, wow. And then like someone
(17:55):
who was better would do it andthen bounce off and go harder.
There was one time that I tookher out because I was so so so
like, I'm gonna take this girlout. This was like, I'm a what?
A brick house and I was likedang,
Shove (18:12):
and I am you are.
Rebel (18:15):
She is just like
legitimately the strongest
person I've ever met. And theonly time I ever took her out
was because I was low keycheating. And just was like
going again and again and againin ways that was just going to
trip her. I was like, I'm gonnatrip her and then push really
hard and that's the only way butlike I had a trip her first you
(18:37):
fight dirty. Yeah, that's theonly way I never gonna win.
Never gonna win. I don't fightdirty. So I have to. Anyways
babe, did you know that me andJesse are going to the gym
tomorrow?
Shove (18:48):
That's your Hey. Get off.
You
Unknown (18:51):
know we're going to the
gym in the morning and have fun
for fitness. Yeah.
Rebel (18:57):
the broke people gym.
It's our gym, aka Jesse has amembership and can bring me
we're going to the gym and thenwe're gonna go get breakfast
burritos, and then go to thebeach or something.
Shove (19:11):
breakfast burrito minute
isn't my favorite.
Rebel (19:13):
I really want to get on a
like for me, the best way to
approach working out is to dosomething fun. And so I think
I'm going to try and convinceJesse to do like the gym like
once or twice a week but then todo a distance game a couple of
times a week.
Shove (19:30):
Well, I remember you said
you wanted to start a weekly
skates. I feel like you shouldjust do that.
Rebel (19:35):
Yeah, I really want to
find
Shove (19:39):
a Saturday morning or
Sunday morning just like speech
skate. Yeah. Coffee and skate.
Rebel (19:45):
Yeah, I haven't done
that. And so long. Yeah. Today I
was teaching a skate lesson andI was drinking coffee. While I
was like skating around andteaching the skate lesson. I was
like I forgot that I could drinkcoffee and skate at the same
time.
Shove (20:00):
Have you anyways, if
you're listening and you're
like, oh, working out, it's likethere's so many different kinds
of things that count as exerciseand being movement, whether it's
just stretching every morningand stretching before you skate,
taking dance classes, fightclasses. If you're just
weightlifting, if you just wantto go on runs, you want to skate
(20:20):
miles. There's so many otherways. Dance skating, I'm just
like thinking like the the aswe're coming out of the
pandemic, and life is like, practically normal. Like, I feel
like life. Now. It's just likethe pandemic like COVID Zero,
right?
Rebel (20:34):
Yeah, besides like, our
whole lives being changed. But
you know, that's
Shove (20:39):
I'm saying like, now it's
like, this is like, not like
things went back to normal, butlike Dalit This is life. And now
we know like, it's prettypredictable again, and like we
understand the ways of the worldthat it is now that I felt like
we all kind of lost touch withbeing a movement a lot, a lot of
us were stuck indoors for solong, the world opened, we still
(21:00):
went out, but it wasn't the sameamount of going out. And a lot
of us still haven't gotten like,I just feel like we've been in
movement will help you have abetter quality of life. Totally.
And it has nothing to do withlosing weight. Yeah, I think
that's when it can become toxic.
But being a movement can just,it's helped me in so many ways,
(21:21):
like it does have mentalbenefits as much as physical
ones too. And I don't knowthere's this thing called haze,
it's Health at Every Size. Soit's just all about intuitive
eating, which our need to learnbecause I am still horrible. And
but like, I just want to like bein movement more often. And I
want you to to because you'reall skaters and we want to skate
(21:43):
for a long time. And let me tellyou, like, if you're someone
young listening, it does getharder the older you get, and
our body does start trying tolike fell us in certain ways.
And it gets harder to get out ofbed and your back pain and your
knees and then arthritis canhappen and all these things. And
so like being in movement cankind of help like, easy away
from being as in a much pain.
Rebel (22:07):
Yeah. Yeah. Let me tell
you, that is so real. Also, I
knew that I was like, I had aproblem because when I went to
my tort class, and I was in thistort class, and I was like, I
think I'm gonna die today. Thisis so hard.
Shove (22:22):
You know, let's talk your
ass off.
Rebel (22:23):
I almost tore to my heart
into a heart attack. Because I
was trying so hard. And I waslike, I am winded. Like I cannot
keep doing this.
Shove (22:33):
Yeah, so stay tuned. And
you know, maybe I'll be able to
lift rebel above my head. Maybe
Rebel (22:39):
I'll be able to do a
split while she's lifting.
That's the goal.
Shove (22:44):
I will do a backflip at
the skate park. Just kidding.
That will and I
Rebel (22:49):
want to be able to a year
from now. Oh my gosh, a year
from now. What do you want to beable to do? Like? Like, what do
you have like a thing a goal oflifting like in
Shove (23:01):
secret secretly? I'm
like, damn, maybe like, if
things go serious. like enteringa weightlifting competition.
Whoa, like deadly lift somethingreally heavy. But like that's
just like a weird Daydream Ihave realistically I want to be
able to deadlift, my own weight.
Oh, I like that. I want todeadlift on my own. Yeah. Oh,
(23:25):
wow. And like price my ownweight. Like, I feel like I can
get there. You know, I can getthere. And it's a realistic
goal. I just got to keep doingit.
Rebel (23:38):
Yeah, I think my goal is
less like endurance or like
number based and more like, Ireally want to be able to poor
form, like full out, like forseveral minutes with absolutely
no problem. And be able to likedo it several times.
Shove (24:00):
Endurance has always been
hard for you. Even when you were
at your prime derby. Yes,endurance has always been a
struggle. Yeah, you were likeI'm in the gym.
Rebel (24:08):
Because it's always it's
like a thrill. Like, in order
for me to keep going, it has tobe a thrill. Which is why
endurance I think has alwaysbeen hard because I've never
been like, after a few minutes,I'm like, I'm bored. Like, no
matter what I'm doing. I'm justlike, I'm bored. I need to do
something else. And that's whyI've never like been able to
push past that. So I'm going totry and really get past that,
(24:32):
like try and find ways to switchup my activity level so that I
can build that into
Shove (24:37):
endurance, as well as
things where it's like, once
we're out skating, like once Iknow I'm like on a street and
it's like the like the surfaceis pretty good. I'm just like
this God and like I never reallyrealized like I think with rebel
because she'll skate pas, butlike we're filming stuff for
(24:58):
Moxie on Friday when the samething happens. We're like
skating. I'm like, where arethey? And they're like, way back
there. Like, I don't understandhow people can just like skate
slow. No, I'm skating to like,go and I don't even like hilly
will always be like a normalpace. I'm like, this isn't
normal
Rebel (25:15):
to be in Mali.
Shove (25:18):
Because in my head, I'm
like, Wait, that's what I felt
like, I want to feel like I'mflying. Well,
Rebel (25:22):
that is one woman who
I've never been able to keep up
with. She is freaking wild.
Molly missed me. Miss Mollymisdemeanor was our roller derby
coach, and I swear to God, thiswoman skates as fast as a
frickin car. Yeah, and she'lljust go for like, 10 miles
without a B, this one. You'relike, Oh, my God. And she's
like, keep up, man. She justlooks at you. Like you're,
you're dumb for not being ableto keep up anyways. Yeah, so. So
(25:45):
we're working out, we'll see howworking it I don't know that you
could technically qualify whatI'm doing is like legit, like
hardcore working out, but it ismoving my body. So that's valid.
And you should be proud ofyourself wherever you're at. And
so I'm going to take that advicefor myself right now.
Shove (26:08):
All right, ready to move
on over to the
Rebel (26:11):
to the wheel world. Yeah,
totally.
knew where we are really excitedto talk about roller skating.
(26:39):
So today in the wheel world, weare going to talk about
Shove (26:45):
how it's plateaued. But
when we say plateaued, while the
we need to say and a couple ofways. When it comes to the
amount of new roller skaterscoming in, and state sells. It's
plateaued. But when it comes tosmall, small skate businesses
(27:06):
that like making roomassessories, and films like
production company news andmaking it wills, it's grown.
Rebel (27:16):
Yes. So I think that, you
know, like, we all have
experienced the last few yearsand
Unknown (27:25):
we have, I mean, we
have maybe someone was just
born. Okay.
Rebel (27:31):
So, like rollerskating
has been Furyk and wild. You
know, like it was whatever itwas before the pandemic and then
then it makes Yeah, and then theepidemic pandemic was like, the
pandemic, the pandemic, Lovatowas something else right, like
(27:51):
an explosion of Rollerskating.
And it was just up and up andup. And we're like, this is
gonna burst at some point like, this is not sustainable. Like
nobody could get skates. I sawsomeone selling roller skate
lollies for $1,000 on Facebookmarketplace, like shut up like
you're stupid.
Shove (28:08):
For months. I'm gonna say
four months ago, four to five
months ago, there was like thisnews. I don't know, like a
musical thing. And it wastalking about it was like the
top three, pandemic purchases, regret, regret and regret. And
rollerskates was number three onit.
Rebel (28:29):
Number one,
Shove (28:30):
I mean, remember, he was
like bikes. And like with
rollerskating, you have to thinkabout there's no way that all
those people so many people thatbought roller skates, because
they saw something on theinternet was like That looks
fun. stuck with it. Because weall know how hard it is to
(28:53):
learn. It is so hard to learnrollers now imagine trying to
learn roller skating when yourONLY Teacher is YouTube videos.
And you don't know anyone thatskates and you might only have
someone that's also trying tolearn with you, and how hard
that is and how people got hurtor and we're like Fuck this, I
(29:15):
wasted my money. So it makessense for me, because there's no
way you're telling me that allthose people are still skating
today.
Rebel (29:21):
Yeah, and a lot of people
were skating because it was like
a tick doctrine. Like how
Shove (29:25):
many people like maybe
named rebel bought a guitar and
then I really thought she wasgonna be invested in it and they
spent a lot of money and I evenbother them a warm up at all.
And then they just stopped. Itjust sits there now.
Rebel (29:36):
I blame that on my post
injury depression.
Shove (29:41):
Yeah, but a lot of people
started I'm gonna learn it and
instrument. Yeah, and I'm sureall this instruments are just
sitting somewhere.
Rebel (29:48):
They're really cute pink
electric guitar that I will
someday learn. Yeah,
Shove (29:52):
not everyone was born to
be a roller skater. No, roller
skating is hard roller skatingreally hard and it does hurt. If
you're not someone That can takea beating and be like, let's do
it again, which says a lot aboutit skaters. We're all just a
little bit messed up in ourheart, not saying we're better
than you, or you're better thanus. It's just not everyone.
(30:14):
rollerskating was. Yeah, we'rejust wasn't cut out for
everyone.
Rebel (30:19):
Yeah, you need a certain
level of resilience in your
body. Yeah. And that is kind ofaggressive.
Shove (30:26):
And then the people that
did buy this case and stuck with
it, a lot of y'all boughtquality skates out there, from
reputable reputable brands. Soof course, you don't need more
skates. So you take the factthat like people are really like
drawn like we kind of got allthe people that were interested
all jumped on the bandwagon atthe same time.
Rebel (30:47):
A bunch of people that
skates were really excited about
it. Yeah. And
Shove (30:50):
so those people stayed
and some of the people left. And
then so now you don't have newpeople coming in. But you have
the same people so they don'tneed to buy things. So then like
you have businesses that had tohire all these people. And like
grew some people even opensecond locations up.
Rebel (31:06):
Yeah. So such growth.
Yeah. And
Shove (31:10):
was like, Oh, this is
great. And then it was like, oh,
cells are dropping? Oh, I havetoo many employees. Oh, no, no
layoffs. Oh, now store closures.
Like, all this stuff. It's kindof that really sad to see
because like so many skatersabout these amazing
opportunities to work in theskate industry. But now it's
like, oh, no, it's like you weresaying something we actually
(31:31):
were interviewed on the skateraid podcast last night. And
rebel was talking aboutcomparing it to the house
market.
Rebel (31:40):
Oh, yeah. I just think
that roller skating, the way it
bubbled up, and bursts are inthat it's not burst. But like,
so the housing market in thelike the 2008, all of that it
like blew up really, really big,and then it burst and it
crashed, right. And so we'vebeen trying to figure out how to
buy a house because we reallywant to do that eventually, at
(32:01):
some point. And all the thingsthat I've been reading have said
that the housing marketessentially got really, really
big. But then instead ofbursting, because of you know,
different things, it's more of acorrection that's happening in
the housing market. And I thinkthat the same concept can really
apply to roller skating, right?
So roller skating was at thiscertain level, and then it
(32:25):
exponentially increased, itexpanded so much, so high all
the way up here. And then it'snot that the roller skate
industry is crashing, and isgoing to end up worse than where
we started. It's justcorrecting. Yeah, and it's gonna
go down a little bit from whereit's been the last two years,
but that can be expected and isto be expected. Like, we didn't
(32:48):
think that all of this growthwas just gonna sustain. Like, it
has to, like, settle back downto a reasonable sustainable,
like pace. And that pace thatwe're at now, which is where
we're kind of like what we'recalling as plateauing, which
has, I think, has like anegative connotation, but I
don't think that there's anegative connotation here. Like
(33:09):
the locale that we're at, isactually still significantly
higher than we were prepandemic. It just in comparison
to the last few years. The lasttwo years, it feels so low, like
it feels scary. Like it feelslike oh my gosh, what's
happening to the skatecommunity, but in reality, the
skate community is stronger thanit ever was. 2019 or before, you
(33:31):
know, the outdoor skatecommunity, the larger skate
community, like the skatecommunity has, again, always
been there, but exploded and nowit like simmered back down a
little bit. Yeah. So yeah, that's my personal opinion on it
Shove (33:49):
exactly. Like the
community is bigger and better
than ever, and it's thriving.
There's lots of like smallbusinesses and small makers that
are doing great. I think it'slike this huge comparison
though. Like, we have like skateshops that need the money to
survive and then have likeskaters they've hired that want
to stay employed there. And thenwe have like, like crews and
(34:10):
stuff that decided to like puttheir money into industry like
you have skate Last Supper, whohas a wheel out now. And you
have like phantom that startingto make like wax in clothing,
and they're working on thestreet film. So you have like,
people that are investing anddoing little things here and
(34:30):
there. And that's good. Andthat's like a good way to have
skaters have jobs too. But themarket itself of like I think
when it comes to selling thestraight up boot that is like,
that's definitely it's gonna beharder like how before everyone
wanted to work in skate shop, but it was really hard because
people will come in or hiringyeah, there's like a limited
number. Yeah. So I think we'regoing back to that to where
(34:52):
like, just like you said, like,we're going back to the norm
pretty much so like if I look atsomething like Moxie, for
example. Three people used towork there. That's all it was.
It was just three people. Andthen like, got up to like 20
Something people. And then nowit's down to like seven people.
And so it's like, still betterthan it was before, just like
you said, but then it's justlike, it can seem scary while
(35:14):
it's happening. And I feel likepeople don't understand because
they look at like brands orskate shops, and they're like,
but everyone skates, you'rerich, like you can afford all
these people. Like, why is thishappening at all these places?
And it's like, no, like, that'snot the real business. Like,
money doesn't last forever.
Rebel (35:36):
Yeah. People look at
things year over a year, like,
yeah, not looking five years, they're not pulling back that
much. Because if you look atyear over year, for the last
three years, you're gonna seesome, like, some drastic
differences.
Shove (35:48):
Yeah. So it's just like,
really interesting. It's just
like to see the changes. But Ijust feel like also there were
like, so many skate brands, orthat popped out of nowhere, in
2021, and 2020. And even, like,so fast.
Rebel (36:03):
Like, we're just like,
people who bought skates on, it
was like the same
Shove (36:07):
skate, but then like, a
different name, a different
value here. Nothing about themis like disappeared. But within
it's kind of sad, because like,a lot of those companies like
made like 1000s and 1000s ofskates thinking this is gonna go
forever. And then like, nothing, they just like sitting
somewhere. Yeah. And it's justlike, won't want. But I feel
(36:30):
like the skate community has notplateaued. There's like, more
parts being put out, which Iknow we've talked about on the
podcast, like, make more partsmake more parts when it's
happening. It's really, therewas a skate roller skater of the
year. Phantom did took a boat.
That was cool. Megan Shaffer, Iwas like Shaffer. Yes. All
(36:50):
right. Megan Jeff. Schaffer,Megan Shaffer, one I voted for.
It was really hard. I had like, rewatch a lot of the films and
be like,
Rebel (37:02):
she's really technical
skater. It's like, impressive
for shooting is just wow,
Shove (37:08):
Megan is so tech. And
that's what made me vote for
her. Because I had to go I waslike, Okay, there's some amazing
skaters, and they're all doinggreat tricks. But I had to see
it as a whole. Like, the music.
I think like when it was a partsof musics really important to
like, how's the music? How's thefilm mean? And it creativity is
important. Yeah, the creativitythat they actually lock all the
(37:29):
tricks like don't put a trick inapart if that you didn't lock
and like when I say lock, likeyou latched on and you actually
grit grinded over like twoinches. And it's not the same
trick over and over again. Andlike did you land it? Was it
tell technical were you like allthat? Good.
Rebel (37:48):
I think though, that that
is in concert when you're
considering like for best rollerskate? Yeah. If you're if you're
making a part and you really, you're barely catching things
like yeah, and you're like, landing it only a little bit.
But you're still wanting to makea part. That's okay. Yeah, I
Shove (38:06):
didn't mean anyone. Yeah,
I
Rebel (38:08):
just wanted to clarify
just for this. So I think that
you were saying that I know, youweren't saying yeah, I want to
put a part out and I can't dothat saying I want to put a part
out, but I'm wondering if
Shove (38:18):
he can't even skate. I
mean, but I'm what I'm talking
about is like, it's almost likeeight or the year, like skater
of the year, and I also feellike cloudco Like whenever
there's a blading cup quad cup,if you're like I'm gonna put a
part out and I want it to beshowcased that spring cup or
foul cup you're representing allof your represent all of us like
(38:39):
when you see the blading filmslike I'm talking about films
like film Vega, like you cantell they put blood sweat and
tears and then there's likethings they've worked on
forever. And like the editing ison point. There's a story being
told, like it's amazing, likeyou want to screen like where
you don't even like knowanything about bleeding. And
we're like, yeah, like, yeah, sopsyched. And I can remember
(39:01):
specific things from every partI saw that came out from every
bleeder. So like, if you'rerollerskating and you're going
to submit something, it betterbe talked to you. I want to I
want to know that you're like,Okay, I'm like, I'm like so
trained. And like I got it likelocked down. Like this is what I
meant to do. I feel like you putout all these parts over the
(39:23):
time, put them on YouTube, putthem on what's under the
Rebel (39:26):
Vimeo,
Shove (39:27):
the Vimeo, Vimeo, on
Vimeo, you on Instagram,
whatever it may be put out 1000parts that you want to because
every one is going to be betterthan the previous one. And then
when you finally are like, thisis it this is my time like I got
it like I've put in the work. Ithink that's when you like bring
(39:50):
it to a quad cut blade and cutthat's when you get submitted
for roller skater of the yearbecause like I want people to
see something and be like, inspired and be like, That's
what I want to like grow. Like Idon't like I do find like
inspiration from seeing peoplethe same level as me, or it's
like slightly better. It's justgets me just as excited. But I
(40:12):
feel like there's a time andplace for like, everything.
Yeah. And I know some peoplewon't agree with that. And I
know like, who's to say like, what's good and what isn't good,
but I think it's like how yousee, like tricks like, do you
see as skating as just fun andlike fishing holes? And it's
just like, we're having a goodtime? Because like, I see that
(40:33):
aspect too. Or are you someonethat sees it as a technical
sport, I'm looking at, the wordI was looking for is, oh my god.
It's like when you go tocollege, and you're, it's like
your one, your discipline, yourdiscipline. Got skating as a
discipline, where you like youeat, breathe and sleep. Pat,
(40:54):
you're like, literally liketrying to nail the same trick.
You want it to be technical. Ifit's not technical, you're not
proud of yourself. You're like, hard, but you know, like, we
were friends with some skatersthat like, we're definitely
where they don't land the trick.
They're like, HiSET themselves, and they're like, do better.
Like and then there's otherpeople that just do it now like
laugh and have fun or like, they'll try to go, no,
Rebel (41:16):
go like, we're like, do
something that's like semblance
of it. We're like, yes. Now that
Shove (41:21):
both types of scheme and
views of skiing are both valid.
Uh huh. And I'm like, likeKayla, little space cowgirl is
very, like so technical, sotechnical, so hard on herself.
She's like, great at judging, because she has the eye for it.
And she's like, that doesn'tcount. Some people might think
she's mean, because she's like,Nah, you didn't do it, though.
But you can do it. I can seeI'll try it again, you can do
(41:43):
that. So she's supportive. Butshe's more like a herd that's
about it. And that's because shesees it as a disciplined, and
she's an amazing skater. Thenyou have other people that are
kind of like in the middle doboth, but they have fun with it.
And I think like everything'svalid, everything I'm seeing is
your own journey. And like, youmight feel differently than I
do. And that's totally fine.
Because that's what's beautifulabout skating. I feel like
Rebel (42:06):
yeah, I totally agree
with you. But is what's
beautiful about skating,
Shove (42:10):
but
Rebel (42:12):
I don't know, but I think
that that's just an indication
again, like these conversationsand these competitions and
these, you know, things aredemonstrations of the roller
skate community growing instrength and growing in, in its
evolving nature. I would saylike, I think that the roller
(42:32):
skating community is becomingmore vast and becoming more
nuanced, I think in all of thedifferent pathways or
opportunities or things to dowithin SCADA. Yeah,
Shove (42:46):
like chuffed is now in
America. And I need to go in
through S one and they my handson some of the day's improved
their skates, like I know likeyou have like the first gen and
it was like, kind of similarlike moonlight, the feeling and
then they've upped their game Ifelt when recently in pitch and
skate shop and I was like, Oh,that's nice. Like that's
(43:06):
different. And then they justput out their first pro boo, and
it's with optimistic slimeoptimist slime. Her name's Jade
and she came up with a brown boonot my favorite color. I'm gonna
be honest, I saw that color andI went not for me, but then I
saw the inside lining. I waslike, alright, it's kind of
cute, but I could never do abrown boo. But they did like the
(43:30):
Have you seen it? No. Bait getin touch.
Rebel (43:34):
I'm seriously not on the
internet. I know that sounds
kind of crazy Jade.
Shove (43:38):
We met her. We met her up
roller calm. She's amazing.
She's a really good skater. Sochuffed and her have a probe out
now and what it looks like.
Aligning like goes with itbecause that person was like, Oh
God, not a brown booth. But likeit kind of
Rebel (44:00):
is it Optimus lime. Or is
it Optimus slime, isn't it?
Well, Optimus
Shove (44:07):
I think it's just like,
it's definitely two s's. Hmm. I
don't know. Anyway, it's Jade.
name is Jade. And they're thecutest and they're so talented.
And he is awesome. When I sawthe squeeze test and like
they're fully around, it lookedlike it could be comparable to a
jock one but I have not heldthis game. I have not seen it in
(44:27):
person. You can just buy thebooth by itself and then you
build it as you go. So that'spretty cool. And I really liked
the idea of like, skaters havingpro boots I think that's so
cool. I think some companies canbe afraid to do pro boots.
Because attaching your someone'sname to a product it's very
(44:47):
scary. As we know with like whathappened last year with Travis
Reynolds and like the call outson the abuse and things like
that like if someone Like thathave their own boot and then
that happened. No one's gonnawant to buy that deal because
it's attached to them. Theydon't wanna put money in
someone's pocket like that. Andthere's other people like any
kind of interest is like there'sbeen calls on people like if
(45:09):
someone does something racistnow you're like, oh, great, I
made a boot with this racistperson. And it gets canceled.
That's happened with moonlight.
And you know, indie so it's justlike you have I get why
companies are afraid. And forchest to be like, just like how
oh my god kya does for Barbie.
So I kinda am chuffed are theonly brands like think that have
(45:31):
put
Rebel (45:34):
like names of pharaohs
behind? Yeah,
Shove (45:39):
so I think that's really
cool. And then there was a
really cool article on Dog Days, the last Dog Days about chuffed
about slam the owner of chest.
And it's really cool becauseshe's the like, she's like the
sole owner like she can dowhatever she wants with that
comes in really cool. And themore that it grows, the better
the boots can improve. And theycan do more things. And they're
(46:01):
a very talented skater as well.
I got to watch them compete inlast this first spring Cup, the
one that was last year. And thatwas the first right before Chuck
like came to us. And it wascrazy because a lot of the
people that competed it nowskate for Chuck it was like slam
was had the eye and was likeseeing who was skating and now
(46:23):
you're so smart. And now like alot of those people that compete
it like skating for chuffed.
Rebel (46:29):
Yeah, I really, really
want to try chef skates. The
Aziz man I know are killing it.
Yeah,
Shove (46:38):
there's so many brands
out there like yeah, I work for
Moxie. And yeah, it's in my namebecause like I started skating
with moxie is but like, thatdoesn't mean one brand is right
or die. You want like the wholecommunity to thrive, especially
if it's a skater owned when it'ssome rando trying to make money
off the skate community on mybutt to know there's a roller
skate and especially if it'ssomething non binary or queer or
(46:59):
female owned, like
Rebel (47:00):
big fan, yeah,
Shove (47:02):
I'm being a fan over
here. And like you can tell they
actually stand by or like Sambuy their product and put the
work in like that's, that's alot to say,
Rebel (47:10):
for roller skaters by
roller skaters is a genre that I
will always support.
Shove (47:15):
Exactly. So it's always
that's why like, that's just
like a perfect example of howlike that has not plateaued in
the skate community. It isgrowing still. There still
skaters doing a lot of jobs likein the industry. Like you saw
the AMA's It was no dancers, like no dancers in their shoes.
It was all roller skaters, evenpink and roller skates. It's
(47:38):
like the first time that's everhappened. I think it was the
most skaters on stage. And thenyou have like people that are
still in commercials when themovies other day. And so a
roller skater and a Diet Coke, commercial. Yeah, Victoria,
Victoria and then like, so it'slike, they're still like in the
entertainment industry. They'restill hiring skaters. You still
(48:00):
have all these small businesseslike so you see, like a lot of
growth still,
Rebel (48:06):
which is pretty cool. And
so many little like skate groups
and stuff like that. Yeah.
Shove (48:09):
So even though the growth
of skaters like new skaters
coming in has plateaued. Theexisting skaters are thriving.
Rebel (48:19):
Yeah. It's awesome. I
love being a part of it.
Shove (48:22):
It's pretty cool.
Rebel (48:23):
skates, skaters and
skating is my favorite. Alright,
should we do you have anythingelse to talk about? About that?
Nah. Should we talk about someobsessions? Sure.
(48:49):
These are my obsessions. Everyweek I have something new to
talk about. These my obsessions.
What is your obsession? What'smy obsession? What's your
Shove (49:01):
current obsession? I know
I'm your obsession and Bellido
obsession What's your currentobsession?
Rebel (49:08):
That's funny. My current
obsession is probably I know
that just going things likecan't be another week of an
obsession but quite literally is
Shove (49:22):
showed a lot of things
inside
Rebel (49:24):
just go to so many
things. Since the last time we
recorded I discovered two boxes.
I discovered a little plantercup holder thing. I discovered
the inside of a box that wascovered in fur on the outside. I
discovered
Unknown (49:40):
what else did I just go
I don't even know.
Shove (49:42):
Oh my god. So many
things. Yeah, a spaceship.
Rebel (49:45):
I just got a spaceship.
Shove (49:47):
You made a hole. What's
that called? Mobile mobile. Oh,
Rebel (49:49):
yeah, I made a disco
mobile. My water bottles disco.
Do you know about that onethough. I
Unknown (49:56):
feel like I still want
a mushroom.
Rebel (49:58):
I need to figure out how
Make it but I will. I will buy a
mushroom like styrofoam. Yeah, aStyrofoam mush rock clay last
time but yeah, I tried to make adrippy disco ball and it's still
half made in the garage becauseit's like waited weird because
the clay is so heavy and Ihaven't figured out quite how to
(50:19):
sort it out. And I need to likeI need to like sand it and like
I hate sanding My
Shove (50:27):
theory is that ever since
disco aces you can't stop
destroying things and that's astate like attached to it.
Rebel (50:35):
How is that a theory
that's like proven truth
reality.
Unknown (50:40):
Ever since this ever
since disco
Rebel (50:42):
Oasis, I've had a serious
problem. It's like
Shove (50:45):
she got hit in the head
of the disco ball there and now
she can can't stop.
Rebel (50:49):
Yeah, I literally put
disco pieces on the front of our
engagement books.
Shove (50:54):
She wakes up and fucking
Donna Summers is playing. And
she's like I'm in studio 54 Andthen she just started slapping
disco pieces on things. Shewraps the Christmas present
Rebel (51:11):
it looks so good. Some no
not wasteful at all. So
beautiful. I made some discowhile planters. We instead of
ornaments we had disco ballshanging from our Christmas tree
Shove (51:26):
Have you cut yourself
while using these sharp square
glasses?
Rebel (51:31):
Yeah, this more or the
other day I made a big hole in
my thumb. Yes, some discopieces. She dies for her craft
Unknown (51:39):
she bleeds for me for
my craft her obsession
Rebel (51:42):
I'm in pain. The other
day I got blisters because I was
hot gluing disco balls onto theoutside of a mirror I'm trying
to figure out what I can sell ofthese things that I'm disco
peacemaking because it's sowhite shove is going to cut me
off. So I have to like get ridof some of the stuff in order to
successfully can tell
Shove (52:03):
them is things I liked
disco thing. So for me, I'm
like, ooh, shiny. It's cute. SoI'm not mad at it. I think the
thing that will happen is thatwe've run out of room for things
and then I'll be like, Allright, like it's time. We need
to have a disco art show.
Rebel (52:19):
That would be so cool. I
would totally have a disco art.
Shove (52:22):
Well I want to do like a
thing at our house. Like it's
really small and we like invitea bunch of people and they like
scape their maps. And like maybelike Shane brings his rugs and
then you put all your stuff thatyou made out and I'm like we had
a couple other people that likeare creatives. Yeah. So do
Rebel (52:42):
what if i What if I
vended at an event and I just
had disco
Shove (52:45):
stuff? Yes. I mean, like
you could because that's that's
hard to ship or it's so hard toship. That's why I'm like how am
I supposed to sell this? Yeah, like you would just have your
table a whole disco table. Andthen the skate accessory stuff
to be on another one. But we didit here. You'd have as much room
as he wanted.
Rebel (53:02):
We should definitely do
that. I'm gonna just go so many
things.
Shove (53:07):
Live you have an art
show.
Rebel (53:10):
I never thought I was
enough of an artist to be it.
Shove (53:12):
I think I think like the
disco and stuff. handcraft Yeah,
Dan craft like sculptures andshit like that. So why not?
Rebel (53:21):
Oh, my mind is anything's
Shove (53:23):
possible.
Rebel (53:24):
Anything is possible.
Anything is possible. Oh, well,my, what's your current
obsession?
Shove (53:31):
It's really weird. Like
cram session, and I can't find
them. But my current obsessionand now the algorithm has no not
on Tik Tok yet, but Instagram isfully like because me and Evelyn
and Haley are constantly likeSydney like gym stuff, like
funny memes or like things thatlike now we've experienced
because now we're gym rats. Orit will be like certain workouts
(53:54):
or even just cute outfits, right? Because if you look cute,
you're gonna want to workoutbecause you're gonna want to
wear the cute clothes. That'sanother way to trick yourself.
But here is my obsession istrying to find the fucking
shorts and leggings that cinchin the butt crack that lift in
(54:14):
separate each butt cheeks. Soyou're like but dunka Doc is
like Diem. And I all I do isjust keep seeing these women's
asses and it's not even sexual.
It's more like I want my buttlooking like what, Keeley What
the heck, and I can only findthem to go to a to x on I'm
(54:35):
like, you just buy those. I'mjust like they're not gonna fit
and I'm like, Please let me livethrough you.
Unknown (54:43):
This is so funny.
Shove (54:46):
Every like nine out of 10
videos of women working out in
the gym, have these damn shortsand leggings on. Fascinating and
I've seen plus sized ones solike I've been finding a lot of
like fat I got weightlifters, and I'm like, hell yeah. Like,
this is what I need to follow.
These are the people I need tofollow. So that it's not
triggering for me so that I knowlike, I deserve to be there just
(55:07):
as much as anyone else and thatcan be fully capable. I seem
like bodies that look like minebunnies, it'll take years until
they flex and you're like, Whoa, but my body that just looked
like average bodies and then allsudden, they're doing something
like raw with a heavyweight andyou're like, Whoa, and I'm like,
that's cool. So even they havethese shorts, but like I haven't
(55:28):
seen anyone that's like my sizeand I'm just like, I literally
will stop their page and gothrough their affiliate links
and trying to find them. And Ican't like I have not been able
to find anything over 2x And I'mjust like, I need faculties
doesn't have them. No, they justhave a regular leggings. They
like might give you a littlesomething at the bottom but I'm
(55:48):
talking about like they'recalled like cinched
Rebel (55:52):
they're the ones that
like have like early early you
can tell that they have like, like the protruding
Shove (55:58):
Yeah, like your BC rd
derby. bottoms, Holly's me
because like they're, likereally cinch in the middle. I
think that's what creates thatlook. Those in it goes in your
bucket. That way inside of yourbutt cheek is just like ba ba
boom, like a Georgia peach.
Yeah, like, I want to look backat it and be like, Damn, look at
(56:20):
those yawns.
Rebel (56:22):
I mean, like, how could
you not already because right
now I look back
Shove (56:27):
and I go Damn, look at
that pumpkin. Gotcha. Like, not
plural. I need plural. I want tosee like, boom, boom, not just
boom. You know, see? Yeah, Iknow.
I'm literally I just feel likeI'm staring at so many butts all
the time. Because it's likeevery workout and even though
(56:48):
we're not talking about theirbutts, the pants make you look
at their butt. And I'm like, Iwant to have a butt like
Rebel (56:54):
my bust. My butt must be
so disappointed.
Shove (56:58):
I'm so sorry. Why do you
think I liked when you always
wear the shirt and you're like,Oh, my crack and I would always
be like, No, I like it numberand you almost throw these away
because there's they go up mybutt. And I'm like, No, that's
how they're supposed to bebecause I like Yeah,
Unknown (57:12):
I do. You just stopped
wearing the shorts. Well, no,
they actually also don'tanymore. Well, you're gonna have
to get some more hoochie daddyshorts like that. Okay.
Shove (57:22):
But yeah, that's that's
my weird obsession currently.
And I'm like, so if anyonelistening is like, I know where
you can get over a Tallis teleof some butt crack booty
Rebel (57:34):
called How do you even
Google that?
Shove (57:36):
cinched something. I
don't know. I finally found what
they were called. And I justlike everyone's like, Oh,
Amazon, Amazon. Like, they onlygot Nginx. So no, I'm not there.
Interest rebel could get him. Soif you want some booty booty
shorts.
Rebel (57:50):
I mean, I guess I do.
Yeah. Yeah. You want to buy himfor me? No, I'm aware of if you
buy him for me.
Shove (57:55):
No, because then I'll
just be sad, because I'll be
extra sad because I want to wearhim
Rebel (57:58):
or you'll just appreciate
my butt. I don't know. For
Shove (58:02):
all that it is. I'm gonna
have to start sewing all my
leggings.
Rebel (58:05):
Just like cinch learn how
to sit. Yeah. So one day, I
Shove (58:09):
swear one day, you're
gonna be looking at my Instagram
page scrolling. And you're gonnago whoa. And you're like, wow,
she found them.
Rebel (58:19):
Oh, my gosh. I mean,
yeah, I'm really excited. So
Shove (58:28):
Bowie, our friend, she
has been obsessed with like,
forcing himself upon your lablike, like, an answer, like
Rebel (58:37):
forcing using his head
like a go recive Lee?
Shove (58:42):
Like, no pet me now. Like
you stop. And he's like,
Rebel (58:47):
and he'll like scratch
your leg. And I'm like, oh, no,
we've created a monster.
Shove (58:51):
Yeah, rebels spoiled him
too much.
Rebel (58:54):
I'm sorry. He's been my
emotional support pet for so
long.
Shove (58:57):
And he's like, extra love
now. Because we have a new
roommate now. And our newroommate spends more time.
That's, you know, like, ourimaginary roommate. I believe we
had was always like, locked intheir room. So that means Bowie
has a new best friend. So nowhe's used to always being loved.
And I think that's part of whyhe's extra needy, because he was
like, acting out and stuffbecause he's like, no, like, I
(59:19):
am constantly
Unknown (59:20):
I deserve to be always
paid attention
Shove (59:23):
to Yeah, and it's a
Frenchie thing. And, man, so
