"The Real"

Irrespective of the statement that is conveyed or the policy  that "mainstream" society seeks to implement, one of the inevitable victims of their discourse and policies are our youth.

The impact of the trauma to which our children are consistently subjected is undebatable and immeasurable.

"The Real"

highlights the fear created by the potential for physical abuse. But more importantly, it scratches the surface of the emotional impact that is cast upon our children by those who they are oftentimes taught to respect and trust.

 We may not see the manifestations of this emotional trauma for years.

However, if the past is indeed a barometer for our future- just as we experienced the societal behaviors of those born to the crack epidemic, we are now, in many ways, experiencing the maladjusted behaviors incubated within the isolation and trauma created by the pandemic. 

Only time will reveal the behaviors that are now incubating within the youth who have experienced and are witnessing the actions been demonstrated by federal ICE officers.

It is important that we recognize that all the abhorrent things to which we oftentimes purposely subject our children will someday manifest and directly impact our children's lives and the lives of so many in the future. 

Think hard...

Are those future actions something we truly desire, or do we simply DO NOT CARE?
