Welcome to this peaceful episode of the Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible, where I read from the King James Version of the Holy Bible set to soothing background music to help you rest, reflect, and draw near to God.
Tonight, we continue our journey through the Book of Psalms, reading chapters 75 through 90, a collection of songs and prayers that celebrate God’s power, justice, and mercy. These psalms remind us that though the world may shake, the Lord reigns forever, and His strength is our sure foundation.
From songs of thanksgiving and praise to cries for mercy and deliverance, these passages guide us to rest in the unchanging nature of God. Psalm 84 paints a picture of joy in God’s presence — “How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!” — while Psalm 90 reminds us of the eternal contrast between God’s everlasting glory and our fleeting days on earth.
📖 Highlighted Verses

  • Psalm 75:1 — “Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.”
  • Psalm 77:13 — “Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?”
  • Psalm 84:10 — “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.”

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
