Welcome back to the Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible, where I read from the King James Version of the Holy Bible accompanied by calming background music to help you relax, reflect, or drift peacefully to sleep.
In tonight’s episode, we complete the Gospel of Luke, reading chapters 20 through 24, and begin the Gospel of John, chapters 1 through 3.
Luke brings us to the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry — His teachings in the temple, the Last Supper, His arrest, crucifixion, and glorious resurrection. Then, as we turn to John’s Gospel, we step into the mystery of eternity: “In the beginning was the Word.”
These passages remind us that Jesus is both our Redeemer and Creator — the One who laid down His life for us and through whom all things were made.
📖 Highlighted Verses
As you rest tonight, may the words of Scripture draw you nearer to His light and peace, assuring you that His love is both eternal and personal.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
