Violent Night is a 2022 American Christmas fantasy black action-comedy film directed by Tommy Wirkola from an original screenplay written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. The film stars David Harbour, John Leguizamo, Cam Gigandet, Alex Hassell, Alexis Louder, Leah Brady, Edi Patterson, and Beverly D'Angelo.
Violent Night had its world premiere at the New York Comic Con on October 7, 2022, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 2, 2022 by Universal Pictures.
Premise.
When a group of mercenaries attack the estate of a wealthy family on Christmas Eve, Santa Claus must step in to save the day (and Christmas).

John Leguizamo as Mr. Scrooge, the leader of the mercenaries.
Cam Gigandet as Morgan Lightstone.
Alex Hassell as Jason Lightstone, one of Gertrude's grown children.
Alexis Louder as Linda Matthews, Jason's estranged wife who is forced to spend the holidays at the house so that the couple’s daughter can have a nice Christmas.
Edi Patterson as Alva.
Beverly D'Angelo as Gertrude Lightstone, the matriarch who heads the family corporation and makes her kids fight for her love.
Leah Brady as Trudy Lightstone, the daughter of Jason and Linda, and
