Speaker 1 (00:02):
guys, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the
singing Sammy's.
That is your football podcast.
I'm Chris and I'm here with myfriend Scott Scott.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
how are things going today?
I did okay.
I can't believe it's August 8th.
Uh, wow it's almost in thesummer.
Crazy to think about that rightit just seemed like it was.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Uh, it seemed like it's winter, like, uh, five days
ago oh god, yeah, it reallytook like it wasn't.
Until like late June here inCalifornia that, um, the weather
turned to winter.
Um, as you know, and maybe mostof people know that, I'm a high
school teacher, so we're goingback next week, so summer really
is over which makes it reallyhard.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I heard you had I.
I heard you had a great daytoday.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
I heard you got the Hobb Hobb now with some, some
celebrities, yeah, I got to hangout with well, hang out to, not
really uh, prep term.
I got to see and, uh, say helloto and and shake hands with
Sergio Romo.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Hi, how are you doing ?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
sir, hi, hi guys, how are you doing?
How are you doing?
Well, we need my friend.
It was something like that, actually, and so, um, kind of
cool.
Um, I had to be out there foreight hours on the golf course
anyway, watching girls play golfand helping them out and then,
so at least I had that hurt, though being able to meet some
of the players, and it's a goodday overall.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Okay, do you have any of those players that say never
mind, no, I can't say there, give me those players that say
they have to, they, they playbetter with less clothing.
I saw some clickbait that saidthey have to play better with
them.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
So I can't comment on that one.
But, um, I'll digress and moveon to that point.
Um, I will say it was abeautiful day and we are
starting our golf season for thegirls high school golf and they
will be uh, I just got to meetsome of the girls last week.
It was my first time doing itwith the girls.
I had to do last fall with theboys and so, um, I'm looking

(01:49):
forward to having some funopportunities out there and have
a great golf and have a greatexperience, awesome, awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
So so for me, I'm not doing too much, just trying to
get uh, trying to get healthyright now.
I'm trying to lose some weighton a challenge right now.
So people see my post onFacebook is because I had to do
20 posts to be eligible forprizes and things like that.
So and uh, so hoping, uh, Igotta lose the 10 pounds over
six weeks and I have to do 20workouts and 20 posts and some

(02:20):
other stupid thing I'm gonnabend over.
Uh, week four, week four, and atthe end of week three I was
down nine.
So but uh, gotta, gotta keep onmy gotta, keep on my guard.
Can't, can't, slack.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Well, the unfortunate part about you being on this uh
program is that we can't do ourbeginning spiel about, about
beer and what we're beer we'redrinking.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Oh, we can do that.
I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'mdrinking some whiskey.
So my redemption right $30bottle, 93 points whiskey.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
So it's uh it's my, it's my uh whiskey of the year
as well.
I was trying to figure out DrWirtz from my house here in
California.
It's there Feral than that, butI'm not sure, dr, where they
distributed it.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
But fantastic Cheers, Cheers to you, my friend.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Cheers to that, my friend.
Alright.
So we uh finished up our seasonlast year and, um, we talked
about our league and our draftand we talked about a few other
things.
Uh, rules and uh we we have.
We don't have time today, butwe also gotta get the guy going
on the rules committee and we'renot gonna be, but I'm gonna

(03:24):
digress.
Our real focus for today isgoing to be who should keep who
and what we think is gonnahappen.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Yeah before we go to Chris, real quick how many
people have voted, by the way, last time we checked, it was
five.
Okay, that's pathetic.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So, yeah, we got about half the guys that still
need to vote, including not thename names, but Doug Johnson.
Um right, actually voted.
Uh, dave Rowling has not.
Travis is not.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
You just you click on the link.
It takes you to the thing.
It takes like two minutes tovote, right, like I think.
I think that's the last timethat it takes to vote for you
know, in our elections, so yougotta assume that they're
actually listening to us too.
So I'm really gonna make adifference, but I gotta think
they're not interested so butyeah, but I, I, I, I, I digress.
Uh, I agree with the time tolook at the.

(04:13):
The keeper is right, it's.
We gotta look at people'srosters and we think about who
they're gonna vote for.
Um, you know the rosters arethe worst, or worse.
You wanna go across the board.
How do you wanna do it?
Uh, I will share my screen, just, oh, you never mind.
Um, you have the rosters upanyways, let's, let's start from
the bottom.
That's okay.

(04:33):
Okay, yep, uh, so we'll startwith a no or cow wine slingers.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Okay, um, oh, you be second to get there.
Yeah, um, I just deletedconsiderate, but you didn't, so
start.
Start with what your rostersare.
Tell me who's on there and ifyou enable.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
If you enable it, I can share it too.
So but but you'll leave that toyou so, so, yeah, so he's got a
couple of quarterbacks on histeam.
Uh, he's got uh Daniel Jones,$11.
Uh, trevor Lawrence of $15.
Uh, he's got some really goodwine receivers Devonte Adams,
tyreek Hill and Terry McLaren.
A lot, quite a bit of moneytied up in that, but he's got

(05:13):
some good receivers, includingsome other ones.
He's also got memory Cooper, tyler Lawrence and all the
really solid wide receiver coreand with the, you know, upgrade
the PPR.
That kind of probably helpedthem wait, I want to say it
helped them last year, but Ithink you might have finished
last Um, uh, he's heard a littlebit of running backs.
He's got the Andre Sift and uhZeke Elliott uh $29 each, and

(05:36):
then, uh, not too much elseafter they accrued old Patterson
, but that's kind of that shipis kind of uh, kind of sailed uh
.
And then, uh, he's got DavidJokou at uh, at a couple decent
quarterbacks, really deep as faras uh wide receivers and, you
know, not as good as far as theuh, the running backs.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Okay, so why don't you tell me, like looking at his
roster, who, who first do youthink stands out as a easy?

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I don't know that there is when you first look at
it.
I mean you look at the VonteAdams.
Really good, he's gettinganother new quarterback this
year.
He's getting the Jimmy Grappalo.
You know God, I know how longhe's going to stay healthy.
So there's some question marksthere.
I'd probably be looking atTyree kill $35.
I think that's probably a muchbetter value of $16 cheaper.
You know decent situation theredown in Miami.

(06:28):
I'd say probably Tyree kills myno brainer.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
And your no brainer and that's kind of a hard term
to use as a no brainer in thissituation, because how much is
it going to cost for him in 2023?

Speaker 2 (06:42):
$35.
So I mean I'd say no brainer, just that I think you probably
will least go for that in thedraft.
You never know.
I think last year he probablywent a little cheaper because
there was uncertainty going fromthe chiefs to Miami, but he
didn't really miss much of abeat, you know as far as, as far
as when he moved over there.
So I think he's probably thebest pick of the group.

(07:04):
But, as you allude, he's notnecessarily probably a no
brainer, it's probably the onethat seems like the best pick.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Okay, and looking at his roster, who would you say
was the worst pick on that?
Well, who's the worst pick, worst keeper to keep, other than
maybe, like some dollar freeagent?

Speaker 2 (07:22):
The worst keeper to keep.
Yeah, oh boy, I probably haveto say.
I probably say is he really isit even on a team right now.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
And he's not.
Actually not exactly what I wasgoing to say is the gale it?
You know, like you look atthese, there's a few running
backs out there that stillhaven't found a team.
The gale is one of them cooksanother and then he got.
Who else is there for net?
Do you see a scenario and Iknow we need to come back to
just looking at the roster, butdo you see a scenario that would

(07:56):
increase the value of any lowstreet player playing on any
particular team?

Speaker 2 (08:03):
No, I don't think so, I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah, I don't think so either.
If you were looking at a bestbit, like what team out there
could use a running back, thatactually would give probably
some fantasy value to one ofthose three guys.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
So you know, maybe a great question.
Maybe the Minnesota Vikingsobviously the other way down and
cook, so Vikings might get alittle bit of benefits.
Did Donald could actually signwith the Jets.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I don't think he officially has yet.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Yeah, so I think that might be a good fit at worst as
a backup option, you know.
So a couple teams are probablythinking about.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
You know, like, what I like about you know, I think
you said it with the Jets islike it seemed like on all
points of all directions thatcooks can assign with them, but
he still hasn't, because you got, look at Breast Hall.
I mean Breast Hall, I think, isgoing to be an amazing running
back.
When he was playing was really, really strong, had a great
fantasy season until he got hurt, but he still, he still hurt

(09:00):
while he's back fully, but atthe same time he's got that
lingering possibility of beingheld back a little bit.
You get some like Dalvin Cookin there for a year could be a
good, you know, investment ifyou had Dalvin Cook at the
moment.
Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yeah, absolutely so.
So you know I'm looking at.
So back to, I'm looking atTiger Kale.
I like John Dotson afford fordollars for Washington.
You don't know exactly what'sgoing to happen there.
You got Eric.
He comes over because like he'sgot a lot to prove.
I kind of like Josh.
You have Palmer for dollars aswell too.
He could emerge for thechargers.
I mean, keenan Allen's notgetting any younger, you know,

(09:39):
michael Williams is kind of aspeciality guy, so I could.
I think I can see, really I cansee him going all wide
receivers as keepers.
Maybe he might think about itTrevor Lawrence or Daniel Jones
as a, as a, as another keeper aswell too.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Okay.
So my last question for youabout the North cow and wine
slingers who do you, who wouldyou pick?
And you don't have to pickthree.
You can say, looking on theroster, I'd only go with these
two and who do you think heactually will pick?

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Oh, I think I really like Tyree kill.
I mean, the bottom hand is justtoo steep at $51.
He may even go for that, butit's too steep.
I think I like him.
Tyler Lockett as well too.
Maybe I'd go Tyree kill TylerLockett, John Dotson, maybe
Palmer over over Lockett, butI'm not sure.

(10:28):
There I think he's going to do.
Isn't he a big Giants guy?
I think he's a Giants guy.
I thought he was.
I could see him keeping DanielJones and maybe Dotson and maybe
Tyree kill.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
And if he went with that kind of alignment, would
you do think that's a gamechanger or that make no
difference Compared to what youpicked.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
No, I think it's.
No, I don't think it's a huge,huge difference.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Awesome and that's a good analysis.
I think I would agree with you.
If I was to do his team, I'dprobably go with the running or,
sorry, the receivers as well.
I'd probably go with Tyree killfor sure.
I think he's like he said, heis the no brainer there.
I know I wouldn't go withCordell Patterson.
I'm not sure I think he's goodat.

(11:21):
I think he's got a good role onthe team.
I just don't see him, especially with them picking up
a rookie running back which theyput an eighth round draft pick
on.
They got include receivers andthey got pits that they need to
throw to.
I just don't see CordellPatterson excelling in any one
area anymore or even being thejack of all trades to that level

(11:43):
anymore.
So I just don't see him being aplayer I want at least to keep,
maybe picking up for a backupor something like that.
John Dodson I think I wouldkeep to John Dodson.
I could see a big year from himpossibly.
The problem with him is twothings McLaurin's there, which
he's a great receiver.
Mclaurin I wouldn't keep, eventhough he has him at $30.

(12:07):
But the problem for both thoseguys they're competing against
each other and who's throwingthe ball to him?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Yeah, kind of?

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Do you think the commanders actually have a team
that can make two receiversfantasy relevant, even with two
great receivers like that?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yeah, I'm sorry it's Sam Hal.
Sam Hal sorry, not Hineke Sorry.
I think in the last year theycould.
They got some good pieces andif the enemy is really a
creative mind, if he's learned alot from Andy Reed, then
anything's possible.
So I.
But they also have a verydefensive mighty coach, so
there's kind of a conflict there.
They got a possibility.
They got a lot of skilledplayers.

(12:44):
Robinson looks good and Gibsonis a good player.
They got a good defense.
Washington.
I think it'll be middle of theroad.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Middle of the road.
Take away the salary cap righthere.
Who would you rather have?
Mclaurin, or would you ratherhave Dotson?
I'm a McLaurin Kind of throwingsome tough questions at you
aren't I yeah, you are.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
We only got so many times.
We only got seven minutes, eight, ten minutes on one team.
So we got 16 minutes left orsomething.
We got 16 minutes left.
So how about we talk aboutSanta Rosa Shakers?
Let's do it.
So Santa Rosa Shakers has got alot of money on players.
He wouldn't heavy in the freeagency.

(13:29):
It looks like he's got GardnerMinshew at $36.
I didn't expect that.
I'm not sure who his otherquarterbacks were at the time.
He's got Derek Kennery.
Aaron Jones spent big on themin the draft.
I mean Derek Kennery.
Unfortunately he's got a littlebanged up last year.
Aaron Jones is really solid.

(13:50):
He's got some decent receivers, but there are a lot of money.
I'm struggling right now, looking at his roster, is trying
to find a keeper that he wouldwant to keep or if he should
just consider starting fromscratch, and there's nothing
wrong with that, becausesometimes the best strategy is
to say I'm going to start fromscratch.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
You might want to say , hey, I keep someone irrelevant
.
That might be someone good, butsometimes it's just better to
punt on it all and have yourwhole salary for the next year,
Especially with someone likeSanta Rosa Shakers who's go big
or go home.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I mean, yeah, look at it.
I think the Alabama Slammers, they employed that strategy a
year or two ago, I think.
They went from 9th to 7th.
I mean that's a what a leap.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Well, he's also won the league, or basically come
close to it.
If you get lightning in abottle with these guys, I mean
you're going to win your leaguesand at least get very
competitive in them when you getthe best players.
But the problem is, if one getshurt which poor Shakers I think
have been kind of victim tolately is that then you don't
have much in your reserves andyou're not going to do well.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, exactly.
So we're talking about theShakers, right?
Yeah, just so, check that for asecond.
So I'm going to be completelyhonest.
I think I mean I'm looking atall the players, looking at
everything that's there and, just by the way, I just have the
rosters, everybody, every email, so you can see where
everybody's at.
I can't see a keeper.

(15:20):
I think it's a good reboot yearfor the Shakers why not?
I feel bad that he's not goingto be at the draft this year.
Really, I actually feelhorrible and hopefully we can
figure out in a common anyway sohe can still participate.
But it'll happen.
I don't see anybody that's onthe list.
I would just reboot unless yousee something different.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
No, I would agree with you.
I see a lot of good playersthat he has on his team.
It's not like he has a bad teamDidn't work out for him well
last year but it's not like hedoesn't have good players on his
team.
He does.
But if you look at the salariesthat he will be paying for them
, he can get comparable, if notless, for the people he has on
that board, and so a rebootwould seem logical.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Do it.
Do it, travis, do the reboot, reload Again, as Chris said.
You had it still, but thedecent team is just that the
values in there.
You can get those guys ideallyfor cheaper in next year's and
this year's draft.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Now, if you had to keep one, who would it be?

Speaker 2 (16:17):
If I had to keep one, I honestly probably would keep
Derek Henry.
I mean, yeah, he's gettingolder, he's starting to wear
down a little bit, but he'd bethe guy that I keep.
I mean, he's still possible fordouble digit touchdowns, a lot
of yards.
He would be the guy with chief.
How about you?

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Yeah, I would agree.
I would say like Derek Henry, probably if you go in the draft
you might get him less, mightget him round about the little.
I would say you get him less, but not a lot less.
So it wouldn't be that big of aloss in the bigger picture of
your financial situation foryour salary count Exactly, I
would keep them.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
So how about we skip over the ranchers and go to the
Alabama Slammers?

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Slammers, slammers, he's slamming it.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
So on the.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Slammers.
He had Jericho for a dollar.
He got Rashid Ramaj.
Steve is in, sorry for sevenbucks.
He had Alvin Kamara for $880.
Dylan 19,.
Mike Williams 10.
Debo for $48.
Kittle for $18.
Cowboys Debo, we don't reallywrap that up.
Just Tucker might be apossibility for $8.
But Lamar Jackson at $24.

(17:24):
Scantling at $6.
Damian Harris $11.
They don't.
I wonder how I got DamianHarris in that really awful
trade.
Harim for $8, Landry for $4,hollis 17, nico Collins for $10,
and Javante Williams for $26.
Quick question, do you I mean,I wouldn't go with Javante

(17:46):
Williams in the situation justbecause of his injury right now
Do you see a scenario where that$26 is actually a good deal for
a day?

Speaker 2 (17:57):
means, so we can spend elsewhere or actually keep
the volume to anotherrestaurant, $26.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Do you see that in the realm of possibilities as a
good deal?

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Oh, absolutely.
I mean, gevante Williams is astud, you know.
Obviously you know injurieshappen.
We see guys coming back fromthe ACLs all the time now and
like still performing at a highlevel.
So I mean there's some riskabout him still starting to
begin in the season, which iswhy I fact she flagged eight
players and Dave's team ispotential keepers, which I think
is the most I flag, for theAlabama Slammers are quite some

(18:27):
time, but there's, I thinkthere's value there, but it's a
risk yeah, I agree.
So, looking at roster, who arethree people you think you would
, you would keep and you wouldkeep oh, but to me the
no-brainer is wrong, orStevenson, you got to keep him a
$7 to me that's.
That's the absolute no-brainerin all of this.

(18:50):
Then, as I said, he's got abouteight guys that I would kind of
have on my list to potentiallykeep and after that it kind of
goes to probably Mike Williamsat $10 not a bad price.
I kind of like Z Jones, but ZJones probably gonna get some
subtraction now with the, withthe Ridley coming to the, say

(19:11):
Joseph Jacksonville, right, yeah, we were full facts so that's
probably a little bit riskythere.
So I like Stevenson.
I like Williams at $10.
I think he would go for easilythat amount of money then after
that's a crap shit.
Whether you want to keep JavanteWilliams, jarrod goth, actually
I mean he performed really wellthe second half of last year.

(19:31):
I would definitely be intriguedby by goth, and I'd still be
intrigued by Lamar Jackson, because he's still Lamar Jackson
.
If he's healthy he's gonna be atop five, top five quarterback.
The last thing I'll say is thatGeorge kill 18 bucks
semi-interested, but I thinkhe's got to be due for a slide.
We don't know if produce gonnabe back.
You produce a really well forhim.
And then Sam guy per I actuallyflagged as well to date box

(19:55):
because and when we don't knowif Javante Williams gonna start
the season and per I look prettygood when he was spelling for
for mixed it last year.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
I like her.
I mean he's really actually agood player.
The problem is he carried theload for the full.
You know 16 games via threedown back.
I don't know if he can do thatI don't he's gonna be asked to
do that either or so but he's a.
He's a really good, especiallyat our league was point per
reception.
He's a good guy to have on yourteam and I great eight dollars
is not something that you knowis gonna break your bank and a

(20:25):
guy that would give you aquality bench player.
Another player you know I wouldalso put in there's Nico
Collins, who, at $10, I thinkyou know obviously he might get
that about.
I don't know if it's a greatrate in terms of what he might
get in the draft you never knowsometimes but he was a.
He was a promising young rookiewho didn't have a lot of people

(20:45):
throwing to him.
I think he can be a lot betterplayer next year and might be
someone they could consider aswell yeah, possibly I think he's
still too down the list.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
I think rookie, rookie quarterback he's still
that.
That it's too expensive for me.
Actually, perrion is actuallystill a Vincent sensory, like
Perrion was like fourth, likefour dollars or three dollars, I
probably actually reallyconsider a little stronger.
But it was for me.
I would definitely keepStevenson, I would definitely
keep Williams, I'm sorry, mikeWilliams, so the wide receiver,

(21:16):
and then I kind of would go backand forward between Javante
Williams and Gerard Gough orjust kind of stay input yeah, I
would go with Stevenson, forsure, I'd probably go with.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Actually, I probably might go with Jackson and
Javante Williams.
Who do you think?

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Dave actually will go .
You say yeah, oh, it's LamarJackson.
Sorry, sorry, sorry okay.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Javante Williams probably as well.
I just to see a lot of upside.
You know there he might startout season a little sluggish,
but I do believe that he wouldtake over eventually.
So who do they actually?
Will keep, though.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
I think he'll definitely keep Stevenson
Williams.
He's definitely got an affinitytowards Williams.
I think I think that'll be.
Those two are said.
If I'm looking at a third at,that gets a little bit murky.
I mean, that's only $17 and twoplayers.
I could see him either roll thedice, javante Williams or Lamar
Jackson.

(22:24):
And I don't think you go wrongeither way as I say, as I see
him like if I was the samesituation, I, you know, I almost
look at it.
I mean I probably go to JavanteWilliams route because I don't
know, I Don't know, it's a toughcall.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
I would do.
I Javante Williams scares me alittle bit and I wouldn't
believe Dave he didn't keep onhis keeper lifts.
The potential there are beingan amazing player, I think is
there.
I just worry about his injuryand that offense and changes,
but I do.
I do see a chance for him to bean amazing player and I will
probably keep him if I were Dave.

(23:01):
The one question after you isModney Stevenson.
You know one.
Talk about Dalvin Cook.
What if he doesn't go to theChats?
He might go to New England now.
Would that change if?
Would you keep him if cook goesto New England?
I?

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Think so, because that price is just too hard to
pass up.
$7, obviously, you know.
I think it'd be potentially a50-50.
I don't think it's like downthe cook comes in.
It's gonna be like 80, 20 or 70, 30 I think.
Stevenson is establishedhimself in the in the pecking
order there.
I think he would still any.
He's a good pass catcher, he'sa big guy, so he's gonna be the

(23:43):
guy in the goal line.
Cook has not been thateffective at the goal line, so I
would still keep them.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Okay, I like that.
So we have about 10 moreminutes before we got to shut
things down for a little bit.
We could probably continue thisnext week.
Let's go, it ain't gonna suck aself-nation, all right?
Sorry, I'm jumping way ahead,aren't I?
Sorry, philly, fast attack.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Yeah, philly fast attack.
So I think the flag flag Notback.
1, 3, 4, 5, 6.
I fly six players on his team,so he's got at quarterback.
He's just got Kirk Cousins.
As far as running backs, he'sgot an elite elite Austin Eckler
and Josh Jacobs.
I think those are two guys inthe top five last year at least

(24:26):
per game Great running backs.
He's also got Rashad White, jerry McKinnon, who performed
really well last year.
He was, he was definitelyawesome.
So he's got some solid runningbacks.
He's got T Higgins.
He's the land.
Well, no more season lamb, hegets kicked out, see you later.
He was on your third guy thirdyear.
So he's got T Higgins, chrisGodwin, demarcus Robinson

(24:47):
alleged more Chris Moore andMichael Pittman Jr.
I'm sorry, quarterback, Imissed, sorry.
He's also.
He's got Justin Herbert, soit's just the herb and Kirk
Cousins Sorry.
Then he's got Dallas could airat at a tight end.
So pretty solid team.
I like that.
I flag six, about six, sevenplayers on his team as possible
keepers.
I think for me, just looking athis roster Raffa that it's not

(25:11):
necessarily obvious who hisno-brainer keeper is.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Well, yeah, I mean, the no-brainer keeper would be,
in an ideal situation, be JoshJacobs.
Right now, $18 would be perfect.
However, we know that he'sholding out with the Raiders and
that could be a whole uniquesituation.
I tend to think that JoshJacobs is gonna be signing on
day one.
I Would imagine.
Would you say that's ano-brainer if he is we, but it

(25:39):
has confirmation before ourdraft.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yeah, if he sees confirmation, he's easily,
easily the biggest no-brainerhere.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
And then Austin Eckler, obviously the one of the
greatest player, but at $70that's way steep.
He had a great year for him, sothey can't complain about that,
wouldn't blame of the captain.
Met that 69, but that's reallyreally high.
You know, looking down the downthe board a little bit, he's
got some people on his benchthat potentially can be really
good.
I would really look at JamesCook for shot white I think is

(26:08):
also, you know, a goodpossibility for keeper.
I think we're shot whites gonnahave a good season.
The problem for shot white is Idon't think Tampa's gonna be
very good this year and I don'tknow how much running they're
gonna be able to do Without thegoat being there anymore, tom
Brady.
So that could be interesting tosee how that offense works out,
could work out well, could beworth like a Seattle thing, and

(26:31):
he ends up being really reallygood.
I Just don't see it.
I'll see we're shot whitehaving a good season and worth
worthy of, you know, picking upduring the draft.
I just don't know, even at fourbucks, I mean maybe at four
bucks, that's a good deal tokeep met and as a possibility.
And lastly, the kid is Tony.
Again, you know question markshere, but he he lit the league

(26:53):
on fire when he came to KansasCity.
But can you see healthy and cancontinue that success.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Yeah, and I also throw Dallas.
Could Aaron there's will to be?
I think that's where it was thetop five from.
It tried in last year roughlyaround there.
You look at Justin Herbers willto $15, ain't that bad.
You know there's some questionmarks there, but I think he's
still a really good receiver.
I like and like game foosballto just go back to him like.
But I it's like God.
Buffalo Just can never seem tohave a top, top elite.

(27:22):
Yeah, right back, especiallywhen they got to an Allen and
they keep saying they're gonna,oh, they're gonna not have him
run as much and maybe thatbenefits the running backs.
But I'll believe it when I,when I see it.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Right, it's a tough call.
Who do you think you would keepand who do you think Doug
Walker keep?

Speaker 2 (27:37):
I Think, yeah, I think it's confirmed and there's
no reason thinking they won't.
But so we'll just say, assumingJosh Jacobs will stay, I would
keep Jacobs, I would keep, Iwould keep just for a shot white
and I would keep James cook.
I would keep all running backsbecause I think they're all at a
good price.
If you get a decent courtrunning backs at 1827, 31

(28:01):
dollars, that's a great startand you can go out and get wide
receivers and quarterbacks asyou need to.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Yeah, and that I wouldn't disagree with you on
that.
Probably where I would go, andyou know Herbert and Tony would
be in the mix.
For me.
It'd be a little difficultsituation for me to pick on that
one, but I think you're righton those three, wow we read you
think Doug would change that,though.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Uh, you know things possible, you know.
I mean Doug.
Doug's a great, great owner, just like all the other owners
of the league.
He knows what he's doing, hedoes his research, you know he's
.
He's got impeccable taste andbotanicals and you know you
never.
But I, I could see, maybe could.
There is Tony's a positive.
He says a possibility, but Ijust had a lot of injury or

(28:47):
history.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I'm trying to kind of go you into Billy player.
I.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
What.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Any filly players there he might pick?
Oh, go down.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Yeah, so good.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Yeah, of course go there.
He's always a possibility, he'sa really good player.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
I mean he's a really good again top five tied into 10
bucks.
That's not too bad, yeah, do it.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Well, we've got about four minutes left on a clock,
unfortunately for today, and wewill have to finish this up
tomorrow.
Actually, probably next weekwould be more than we're
thinking.
Unfortunately, for those whodon't know, we pretty much run
our podcast off of Zoom.
I have my school account, whichgives me unlimited access to
how long we can run these things.
However, unfortunately, theschool district is rebooting

(29:33):
everything, so I put on mypersonal account, which I didn't
realize.
We had about 40 minutes on theclock Scott and I talked about
for about five 10 minutes beforethat.
So, in case of whatever thistime is, we got three minutes
and 30 seconds left.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Yes, so I'll just do my quick pitch real quick.
We'll expand upon on the nextpodcast.
We don't have to decide on itnow.
So I have a new excited idea.
I don't know very, I usuallyhave exciting ideas.
But, Mike said.
Mike said ideas that we starteda parallel league.
We starts with all our 10 hoursthat we have.
Now we had 10 or two additionalowners that we believe are the

(30:05):
most good fit for the leaguethat want to do it.
So we come up with a 12 teamleague.
We throw in 20 bucks, we do asnake draft, we do it sometime
before the preseason and we'lldo it online and the idea of
this league is basically likeminor league baseball is that we
have all these wonderful roleproposals but we have a trouble

(30:25):
pulling the trigger on.
You know whether it be, you knowwhether it be the two
quarterback, the you know thetwo quarterback stuff, the no
kickers, blah, blah, blah, idp.
So the idea is that we woulduse it as kind of an
experimental testing ground tostill run a fancy football
league, but try out these newideas and see if it's something
that we actually want to bringup to the big leagues.
So I think it's an excitingidea.

(30:47):
I love the idea and because Inever have good ideas anymore
because I'm old and so I'm goingto throw that out there the
rest of the league to see ifthat's something that some
people would be interested in sothat way we can try to see how
new things you know, these, these, these rule changes would
actually work in practice.
And so I've actually started aleague.
I'll communicate it back to thetechs and those stuff like that

(31:09):
for people to look, to lookinto it Now remind everybody
because we, you and I havetalked about it.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
but how would that work in terms of how?

Speaker 2 (31:17):
we're drafting.
So it would be a snake draft.
So we would just do it online.
So it's all like, basically, the ESPN draft, right, like
Mikey is always drafting, youknow, from a different place,
and then Brett, stuff like that, where's Brett?
And so it'd be.
We would just draft online.
We pick a night thateverybody's available, you know,
ideally maybe the week beforethe first game, which is the
first week of September orwhatever, and we would just do a

(31:38):
snake style draft.
The no-keeper is nothing likethat.
We would just, you know, do itkind of, just kind of straight
up, and then we would play ayear and with these new rules
and see kind of how it goes, andwe'd vote on the rules again
next year and see if people wantto do it or not.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
So I like it.
I like it.
I'm a friend.
Anything, anything to promotemore fantasy football, I'm all
about.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Yeah, and the last thing too.
You know, Chris and I talkedabout that maybe we consider a
dynasty concept a little too.
Maybe we consider that year too.
If we want to do it again, wedo it like a dynasty in parallel
or something.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Well, now you're talking way past over my head.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Paros All right, we got less than 30 seconds left,
so, scott, we sign us out.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
I will Love you guys, Love this league.
You guys are amazing people.
You know, let's have a greatdraft here in about a month.
We'll get another podcast andwe'll do the rest of teams.
And yeah, peace out, man.
Bye-bye guys.
