Yeah, doing a six week challenge through my gym
it's called resultstransformation here in Sparks,
nevada.
Basically, if I lose 10 pounds,go to least 20 workouts and do
20 social media posts within sixweeks, then I'm eligible for
fabulous prizes and some value.
I don't know what it is.
It's not really about theprizes, it's really about just

the challenge and trying to dostuff.
So I'm in week five of thatRight around 10 pounds down
right now.
I hope they really kick it intogear and get another few pounds
so I don't have to worry andfret when I step on the official
scale.
But so far, so good.

So we are actually having our fantasy football
draft next week.
What are your words of wisdomfor those that are trying to
lose weight during fantasyfootball weekend?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Oh fuck it, Don't even try.
Maybe try some of that dip andsee if it maybe causes you to.
Maybe that's a tip.
Drink a lot and throw up.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Or drink a lot, go to Johnny Rockets, and then it's a
natural projection.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
That's like fire coming out of your throat.
Johnny Rockets, the triplecheeseburger oh my God.
A chocolate shake, oh, thatgoes well with like 18 whiskies.

Speaker 1 (03:05):

You were all bad that one night we went there.
That was a bad decision.
Thankfully, we've upgraded ourplaces to go eat.
Right Now we're going to sushior we're getting the rim done.

David's Grill at the golf placeon Thursday.
For those that don't know, wehave a weekend plan, GS Lovely
Grand Cedar Resort here in Reno,Nevada.
We're going to do some golf onThursday.
Some of us will be going outthere.
We'll probably have David'sGrill, which is out there.
Nice place, nice bar.
There's probably some swankymusic going on On Thursday or
Friday.
We'll be hitting some breweriesaround town, some distilleries,

places like that, and we'llactually be moved in a
monumental change.
Those of you fans who will beout there you know changing your
draft date is like in the drafttime it's almost the same every
year, by clock or even if it'sfor a long time.
We actually were able to moveheaven and earth and move our
draft to Friday night.
Isn't that incredible, Chris?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Oh, it's absolutely incredible.
And what was the driving forcebehind us doing that?

Speaker 2 (04:19):
The driving force was a couple things, A couple
things.
It was going to be tough onTravis' schedule, it was going
to be tough on a few, but thebiggest thing was the fact that
we loved hanging out at the pooland we loved to push the draft
at time on Saturday becausewe're having a little too much
fun at the pool and so this yearwe get to be pool all day

(04:43):
Saturday and it's going to beepic and fun and I hope nobody
throws up for peeping the poolyeah and I'm really surprised
because, like the whole region,I even threw it out there was
for Travis to, you know, tosatisfy Travis, but on a selfish
purpose of like being able tohave that Saturday at the pool.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
But you know, like, for those that are going to be
at the draft, that's not reallythat big of a deal in some
senses, other than tradition andjust getting away from the norm
.
It was for those of you thatcouldn't make the draft, that's
going to be a little moredifficult for, and my biggest
concern was Mikey.
But Mikey was on board and I'mlike sweet Brett was on board,
he actually said it was better,and Travis, of course, was the
one we're doing it for.
So it worked out really welland all of a sudden all the

stars aligned and we were ableto pull it off.

I'm so happy you were able to satisfy Travis.
Good job we did satisfy him.

We usually get the presidential suite for us.
I mean, there is that littlething that we're going to have
to downgrade this year a littlebit on is our suite.

but, yeah, junior suite or something like the one
with the joining rooms in themiddle, yeah, so, yeah, I forget

Well, plenty of room, but we just want to have that
big joining room.
We might have to shuffle aroundhow we get everybody plugged in

So, but otherwise, big news foryou First day of school, first
day back in the old, the oldteaching, the old teaching game.

Yeah, so as a first day back kids, they all had the
deer in the headlights, look ontheir faces, and you know the
first three days are usually sosimple because the most of them
are too fearful to even, like,speak up.
I asked like, is there anyquestions that you guys have?
And you could just see deadsilence.
You can hear a pen drop at thatmoment.
Give it a week and then they'llbe back in Roar and back to
their Rembuck just ways, andthat's when the real teaching

starts.
But it was a good first day, soit's good to be back in the
classroom.
A lot, of, a lot of crazy stuffhappening in our school this
year.
Class size reductions caused usto lose teachers, which now
they're going to try to get someteachers teach 120%, which is
just a lack of better terms,just not a very good situation

right now.
But we'll get it all worked out.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
So I'm really shocked that there's no questions,
nobody's, nobody's, nobody.
Like pointed out the the tooth,like where's your tooth?

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Yes, the tooth is missing and the tooth will be
replaced actually in a coupleweeks, which I'm possibly on the
outside chance.
I have it ready for the draftand those of you know I got my
tooth knocked out and I've gotan implant in, at least in terms
of I have to wait for it toheal before they can screw the
actual tooth in.

And who knocked that tooth out?

defending a woman in the parking lot who?

Speaker 2 (08:16):
was oh, no, no, no, no, no, no no no so.

I had to protect the person and the guy was hitting
her.
He turned around to hit me witha crowbar.

I was lucky to get him off and throw him near to
the side and take care of himwhen the police came, but I lost
my tooth in the process.

What genus of the nut family was the one that
actually broke your tooth?

An almond, but it was the almond that was thrown at
me.

I was thrown at you, Perfectly hit your tooth and
like, oh my, I can't believe analmond would knock it out.
Well, you know, it's a superalmond.

So you know I'm into the crowbar.

However, when you do see me inpublic, I do actually wear a uh
with a retainer that has a faketooth in there for now.

The only problem with aretainer it makes me a little
bit if I start speaking up andthat makes it really tough.
So that's why you always haveto see me without it, because
otherwise they'll be on thispodcast.
A little bit of a lift and itmakes it hard for me to talk

Yeah, anyways, I think wedigress on a lot of different

on the actual meat of our content, Well, I think
we're going to talk about justan important deadline, just to
everybody's reminded of what'sgoing on, and then we're going
to talk about, uh, resume,completing the, looking at the
keepers, and then we'll see whatwe have left from there.
So do a little last cleaning,but something to start.
We have some important datescoming up, and what are these

These important dates arekeepers.
So in our league you're allowedto keep three players.
Uh, well, as long as they'reeligible.
So after you can keep a playerfor up to three years, after
that you have to let them go.
But, uh, but if they're youonly have for a year or two, you
can keep them again.
Their salary goes up $3 plus10% of their salary.

(10:14):
So, um, yeah, so by Wednesday,wednesday evening, 1130 pm
Pacific time, or whatever,whatever I said 11 pm Pacific
time, you need to have yourkeepers in.
So keepers are in.
You don't have them, you'rescrewed, you're getting zero,
you're getting zilch, you'regetting not screwed.

Maybe you're starting to scratch.

Yeah, exactly, you start, whichin some cases is a good thing.

So, uh, and so, as we looked at some of the teams
last week, it might be a goodthing, exactly.

So that's the first thing, and then, of course, the
draft has been as we said.
It's been moved to Friday, 6 pmPacific Pacific time, 7 pm
Mountain Standard Time.
For Mikey there in Salt LakeCity Actually, sarah took a
springs so 6 pm Pacific time.

Real quick, we were able to askwhat are you drinking?

I am drinking a double IPA through Heretic
Brewery in Fairfield, california.
It is called the Evil Cousin,one of my favorites.
It's a very good IPA, which soone of my favorites Also on my
tap, so that's the reason why Ilike it.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Okay, okay, okay, nice, and I'm drinking a shit
Cabernet.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
So and that's part of your challenges to not drink
what I'm drinking, but to drinkwhat you're drinking.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yes, I've only had two.
I've only had, as I mentionedlast week, I had a couple years
of beer and that was only thesecond beers I had since I've
been on the challenge so and Idon't plan to have another beer
until the end.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
I did have an earlier beer at the golf course, with
meeting with my coaches and wehad Hen House, which is have you
had an Hen House before?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
I've had one or two of the beers.
They do sell them up here in acouple of places.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yeah, and there it's a Newbury right across street,
basically Longanese and Petaluma.
But I actually like Hen House alot more than Longanese beers.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Okay, I still haven't been there, so I still, but it
was the time we did go there.
There was another place thereacross the street north of
something about 101 North orsomething like that, or I forget
what it was called.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Yes, I think it was called.
I remember it.
Yeah yeah, no, the Hen House iswell.
Longanese is obviously a muchbetter.
It's a really cool place tohang out if you want to listen
to music.
It's got a bigger venue.
It's outside.
It's more of a kind of just arelaxed kind of like a beer
garden, essentially where HenHouse is more of a brewery style

, just like you're inside a bigwarehouse.
But I just feel like there arebeers a lot better than
Longanese beer overall.

You know my favorite brewery in the world, right.

Longanese in Chicago.

for the beer More of the ambience, more of the

Yeah, and that's the one here in Petaluma would be.
The ambience is a lot betterthan Hen House, but if I just
look at the beer straight up, Ican't have it better.

I will say Longanese is my favorite micro brewery.

Sorry, it's my favorite.

of the micro breweries that are big, it's my
favorite.

We looked at I believe andcorrect me if I'm wrong we
looked at the NorthfellWine'singers last week.
We looked at Santa Rosa Shakers.
We skipped over the MustangRangers for today and we looked
over Alabama's Slammars andPhilly Fasatac.
Does that seem right on youragenda?

Speaker 2 (14:32):
That seems that's exactly it so.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
And that leads us to start off with the Napa Prime.
So give me some informationabout the Napa Prime.
What do you see here, who areplayers that they have, and what
information can you divulge tome at this moment?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, I mean you have some star players on their team
.
I mean you look at AaronRodgers, christian McCaffrey,
nick Chubb.
You got Mike Evans.
You know stud player, you know,maybe some of those their time
is past.
You got Travis Kelsey.
So a lot of really good players, so good backups, really You're
stocked.
The quarterback, deshott,watson, tua and Rodgers, as

(15:07):
mentioned.
You got three solid runningbacks from McCaffrey, chubb and
Acres, really good, looking good.
And as far as wide receivers,yeah, mike Evans, Kirk solid.
Don't have a ton on the bench,I would say, besides the
quarterbacks, although CortlandSullivan actually what we should
talk about.
He looks like he's beenimpressed in camp and you know

(15:27):
there's a whole new lease onlife as far as Denver is
concerned, because it'sconcerned.
So a good balance.
Ropher roster you know numberone tight end, you know solid
supporting cast, especially atrunning back.
So it's a really good team thatthat did win the championship
last year.
When you look at the roster,it's kind of easy to see why.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Oh, definitely, he's got a great roster.
As you speak, he was alwaysrunning on the top scores, him
and Dale, I think were the twoprobably top squares.
But I can remember correctlyand I do like his team, Like he
says, definitely stacked it.
Sorry, quarterback, Definitelytarget running back At least top
two.
Camp makers you can make anargument for didn't do much for

(16:08):
him, but at the same time youknow well.
Let me ask this question Do youthink camp makers last year was
just recovering or do you wasan anomaly year?
Do you see upside this yearcompared to what he did last
year or do you see him?
He's already peaked,unfortunately because of
injuries?

Speaker 2 (16:24):
But first off, I forgot that I was talking about
Brett Steven.
Sorry about that.

So first again.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
But no, I think, I think.
I think camp makers can stilldo well.
The problem with game makers, Ithink, is they.
They ran some of a horribleoffensive line.
They have an aging quarterbackwho you don't know if it's going
to be able to sustain, you know, 16 games at all, but he's
going to be the guy.
I don't.
They don't really have anybodychallenging him, so I don't see
any reason why he can't continueto do well again.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I like it.
Yeah, I can see that and he wasvery talented, I would say like
it was running backs.
One of the biggest situationsthat gets under value, I guess,
is that that is that offensiveline.
I mean you could take aundrafted free agent running
back and look like an amazingrunning back because he's got a
great offensive line.
You can take someone campanchors, who's got a ton of

(17:15):
talent, with no line and he'sgoing to be dropped to the
backbill before he can even getstarted.
You know a lot of running backs.
They run downhill Like theyneed a little bit of momentum to
get going before they can breaksome tackles in space, because
if you're getting stopped in thebackbill you have no momentum.
You know you're not goinganywhere.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Right, absolutely, absolutely so.
So I think it's it's.
It's.
I mean I see him kind of middleof the road.
I mean he's a starter, sothat's good.
I mean you want that he couldbe probably potentially the bell
cow there.
You know where does that termcome from?
That's, you know, I think he's,I mean 20 is 20 ish probably
ranked.
I don't know what the rankingsare, but I'd probably put him

(17:53):
somewhere around there 2025,something like that.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
That's fair.
I would have to kind of lookover my my.
You know I would see us to therankings, but that I mean that
seems legitimate, what you woulduse, and I'm trying to look
over the ESPN website where theyhave him ranked at this point.
But I say it's not going verywell.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
The fans of football index has them at 17 for what
it's worth, 17 if you want tohelp?

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Yeah, thank you.
So that seems about right, youknow, and so like it's a worthy
keep if that's what you'relooking for.
Having said that, looking athis roster, I kind of know who
he's keeping.
He kind of told me but who doyou think he's going to keep, or
who would you keep?

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah, so yeah, I think just start with the money
right.
So you look at ChristianMcCaffrey $63.
Now Christian McCaffrey ispotentially the number one
running back.
You know, would you keep himthat?
I mean I could see McCaffreygoing for $63, but I think it's
hard to keep a player at thatprice.
You just got to throw him backin and see and see what happens.

(18:54):
Nick Chubb a 36 is still alsonot a bad deal, but you know, I
don't know.
I mean that's actually could bea really good year for Nick
Chubb.
He doesn't have a hunt inVulture anymore.
And like another high priceplayer, just Travis Kelsey $37.
You know he's still the numberone tied in.
Probably would still will be,but that still seems pretty high
.
Probably want to jump back intothe water.

(19:16):
So, at least for me.
So I put campmakers in there.
I strongly consider Nick Chubb,even at $36.
I think that's still probably apretty good price.
And then you got to look at,you know, the other players
around there.
Do you like any of thequarterbacks?
I don't know.
I think I like those two guys.

(19:38):
I'm intrigued by CortlandSutton, you know, just because
he's gotten good, a good reportright now.
But what do you think, andmaybe I'm way up.
I feel like I'm probably way upbase.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Well, I don't think you're going to be wrong.
I mean, what place I would pushback on what you were saying is
I would maybe push back onTravis Kelsey right now $37.
I think he's going to go in thesixties at this point because
Travis Kelsey, if you look athis numbers and what he's
projected to be, I think at himbeing the top maybe, and this is
being very we thought just veryhow was word?

(20:14):
Basically Some people haveranked in the top three In all
fantasy football.
You know, top 10.
Saying he's in the top 10 Ithink is a very conservative as
well, trying to work for it andall I could come with the term.
But it looks like a veryconservative approach if I say
he's gonna be a top 10 playerand that's just without
considering the fact that he'sat a tight end position.

(20:35):
He's just gonna be a top 10player period and of course
there's a lot of assumption thathe's gonna see healthy the ages
and catch up to him.
I don't think any of thosethings will do that to Travis
Kelsey.
This year he has taken a lot ofballs and a lot of hits.
He's, you know, caught a lot ofballs.
So there there could be someregression or definitely say a
little bit, but 37 dollars Iwould say in the drafts he could

(20:57):
probably go into the 60sthinking you got a top 10 player
and Then at the tight endposition of all places that puts
a premium and puts them onalmost like a step above those
top 10 players because he's at apremium position that you're
just not gonna find that kind ofquality them and so like what I
think of 37 dollars as much asI hate to say it because I want

(21:18):
him to throw him back in thepolls, I can, I can draft him.
I Think it's an amazing deal.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, I, I'm worried.
I mean it's it's not a validword necessarily, but I'm just
worried about his age.
He's 34 years old.
You know, I mean you can'tnecessarily go forever, although
kind of seems one of thosepositions, like you tend to go a
little bit long.
We're surprised because you gota block and catch and get hit.
It's kind of surprising thatsome of the some players you
know Tony Gonzalez, last at along time and Antonio Gates,

(21:47):
last at a long time, you knowsome of the big studs there, but
I mean, eventually your body'sgot to break down a little bit
right it's.
I mean it's got a got to hit apoint.
But of course we didn'tnecessarily see the last year we
saw the number one tied in by apretty wide margin.
So but I think, I mean I thinkguys like Hawkinson Andrews, I
think they're starting to creepup a little bit more on him.
So I Least.

But you do have some of thoseswing and miss kind of
candidates and they could besuperstars or they can be duds,
and each of them have like atleast a little bit of a question
mark.

I mean, he's probably the mostconsistent in there of being

with James Robinson JK Don.
Jk Don is gave Davis OdellBeckham, junior Khalia Herbert
so, and Deandre Hopkins as wellto Drake London.
I didn't mention him.

So you had bits and pieces, andsomehow you got those bits and
pieces that get you thechampionship.
So kudos to you.

I think you know the underHopkins, I mean, lands in an OK

He's obviously getting a littlebit lower.

Hopkins is necessarily passesprime.
He's a little injury prone.
You know, I think, you know, Ithink ten years of service,
local quarterbacks.
I think you have to beconcerned.
In him there Jamal Williams ofcourse kind of takes on the lead
role with, with Kamara being atthe first three weeks.

So just that $4 spend just forthose first three weeks.
You could see some value in.
Although where he goes in thedraft we don't, we wouldn't know

I don't welcome this intriguingat $7.
You know so.
But how much?
How much does he?
Again, he's not an old guy buthe's kind of had this injury
history and things like thatkind of material sort of guy.
So what is he going to do?

And then James Conner stillkind of is kind of the in
question running back still inArizona, although it's kind of a
shaky team with the, you know,without Murray for the first at
least several weeks.
So I mean, as you said, PatrickHolmes is a no brainer.
I mean, you got to, you got tokeep phones for $21 to me,
that's, that's done.
Now it's a matter of decidingif you want to get Conner,
Hopkins, Williams, Beckham orjust kind of go, you know what.

I'm going to save my money anduse that $70 on Justin Jefferson

backfield and run for 50 yards.
You know I just had a good gamefrom him overall.

going to be in the running forthe number one draft pick next
year and James Conner also hasan injury prone history and
those two don't bold well forhaving productive fantasy
football season.

Jacob Domes I had mentioned, Imean, and Gabe Davis do.
Guys are intriguing, and KhalilHerbert as well too, also

probably preventing you fromkeeping any.
The same thing with DrakeLondon as well, to probably

prevent you from keeping theJohnson, another guy probably
preventing you from keepingthose guys.

better value, they definitely bein the running for keeping, but
at this point I don't think Iwill.

a description of the first week,like you said, will be in a
good spot.

the Saints.
And so it could be all bad forJamal Williams and any value of
